1.ye shastravidhimutsrijy yajante shraddhayanvitaah.
teshaan nishtha tuka krishn sattvamaho rajastamah॥

arjun ne kaha:he krishn, jo log shastroan ke vidhanoan ki paravah n karate hue shraddha se yukt hokar yajn karate haian, unaki kya sthiti hati hai? unaki shraddha sattvik hoti hai ya rasik ya tamasik?ye log jan-boojhakar shastroan ke niyamoan ka ullanghan nahian karate, apitu inhean un niyamoan ka jnan nahian hota. shankarachary ka kathan hai ki vyakti ki shraddha ka prakar usaki shastroan ke vidhanoan ke sath anukoolata ya pratikoolata par nirbhar nahian hota, apitu us vyakti ke charitr aur usake dvara apanaee gee upasana par adharit hota hai.ramanuj ne apekshakrit kam udar drishtikon apanaya hai aur usaka vichar hai ki jo log ajnan ke karan athava jan-boojhakar upeksha ke karan shastroan ka ullanghan karate haian, chahe ve shraddhavanh hoan ya shraddhahin, ve nindaniy haian.

2.trividha bhavati shraddha dehinaan sa svabhavaja.
sattviki rajasi chaiv tamasi chaiti taan shrrinu॥

shri bhagavanh ne kaha:praniyoan ki shraddha unake svabhav ke anusar sattvik, rajasik aur tamasik hoti hai. ab isake vishay mean sun.

3.sattvanuroopa sarvasy shraddha bhavati bharat.
shraddhamayoayan purusho yo yachchhaddhah s ev sah॥

he bharat (arjun), pratyek vyakti ki shraddha usake svabhav ke anusar hoti hai. manushy shraddhamay hota hai; jisaki jaisi shraddha hoti hai, vah thik vahi hota hai. yahaan par lekhak un kuchh prashnaan par vichar karata hai, jo sambhavatah usake kal mean bahut ruchikar vishay the. ye prashn shraddha, bhojan, yajn, tapasya, dan, sannyas aur tyag ke bare mean haian.sattv: svabhav, prakriti. shraddha kisi vishvas ko svikar kar lene ka nam nahian hai. yah to kisi nishchit adarsh ke lie man ki shaktiyaan ke ekagrikaran dvara atma ko prapt karane ka prayatn hai.shraddha manavata par p dane vala atma ka dabav hai. yah vah shakti hai, jo manavata ko, n keval jnan ki drishti se, apitu adhyatmik jivan ki samoochi vyavastha ki drishti se utkrishtatar ki or badhane ki pehrarana deti hai. saty ki antarik anubhooti ke roop me atma us lakshy ki or sanket karati hai, jis par poora prakash bad mean p data hai.antatogatva kisi bhi dharmik vishvas ka antim aur avivady praman vishvas karane vale ke hriday ka sakshy hi hai.ek lokapriy shlok mean kaha gaya hai ki dharm jin lakshyoan ko hamare sammukh prastut karata hai, ve vyakti ki apani-apani shraddha ke anusar siddhidayak hote haian.[1] bhagavat mean kaha hai ki upasana ka phal upasak ki shraddha ke anusar hi hota hai.[2] jo kuchh ham haian, vah apane atit ke karan haian aur ham apane bhavishy ka nirman kar sakate haian. pleto se tulana kijie: ’’apani ichchhaoan ka rujhan aur hamari atmaoan ka svabhav jaisa-jaisa hota hai, hamamean se pratyek thik vaisa hi ban jata hai.’’[3] gete se tulana kijieah ’’keval nishtha hi jivan ko shashvat banati hai.’’

4.yajante sattvika devanh yaksharakshaansi rajasaah.
pretanbhootaganaanshchanye yajante tamasa janaah॥

sattvik manushy devataoan ki pooja karate haian; rajasiank manushy yakshoan aur rakshasoan ki pooja karate han aur tamasik manushy atmaoan (pretoan) aur bhootoan ki pooja karate haian. tamomay manushy ve haian, jo mritakoan aur bhoot-pretoan ki pooja-paddhati ko chalate haian.

5.ashastravihitan ghoran tapyante ye tapo janaah.
dambhakarasanyuktaah kamaragabalanvitaah॥

ve log pradarshanapriy aur ahankarapoorn aur kam-vasana aur rag (kisi vastu ki lalasa) ki shakti se prerit hokar ugr tapoan ko karate haian, jo ki shastroan dvara vihit nahian haian.

6.karshayantah sharirasthan bhootagramamachetasah.
maan chaivantah sharirasthan tanviddhadyasarunishchanh.

apani moorkhata ke karan ve apane sharir mean vidyaman tattvoan ke samooh ko satate hean aur sharir ke andar nivas karane vale mujhako bhi satate haian. in logoan ko too asuriy sankalp vala samajh, yahaan kuchh logoan dvara pradarshan ke udradeshy se valoan ke kutte pahanane, ya sharir ko kiloan se chhedane ityadi ki apane-ap ko kasht dene ki paddhatiyoan ki ninda ki gee hai. kee bar sharirik durbalata ke karan matibhram utpann ho jate haian, jinhean ki galati se atmik divy drishti samajh liya jata hai. atm -anushasan ko galati se sharirik yantrana nahian samajh liya jana chahie. isake sath gautam buddh ki chetavani ki tulana kijie: ’’tapasya ka adat ke anusar p da hua abhyas, ya apane-ap ko j d bana dene ka abhyas, jo kashtadayak, anuchit aur labharahit hai, nahian kiya jana chahie.’’[4] sharir ka sachcha anushasan svachchhata ityadi ke abhyas dvara hota hai, jo shlok 14 mean diya gaya hai.

tin prakar ka bhojan

7.aharastvapi sarvasy trividho bhavati priyah.
yajnastapastatha danan tesha bhedamiman shrrinu॥

bhojan bhi, jo ki sabako priy hai, tin prakar ka hota hai. isi prakar yajn, tap aur dan bhi tin prakar ke hote haian. too inaka bhed sun.
