1.kian tadbrahm kimadhyatman kian karm purushottam.
adhibhootan ch kian proktamadhidaivan kimuchyate॥

arjun ne poochhaah brahm kya hai? atma kya hai? aur he purushottam, karm kya hai? bhootoan ka (tattvoan ka) kshetr kaun-sa kaha jata hai? devataoan ka kshetr kaun-sa kaha jata hai? atma mean vidyaman vastu kya hai (adhyatmamh)? devataoan mean vidyaman vastu kya hai (adhidaivamh)? yajn mean vidyaman vastu kya hai (adhiyajnamh)? sab bhootoan mean vidyaman vastu kya hai (adhibhootamh)? in sab prashnoan ka uttar yah hai ki param atma sab siraji gee vastuoan, sab yajnoan, sab devataoan aur sab karmoan mean vyapt hai. ye sab keval bhagavanh ki vividh abhivyaktiyaan haian.[1]

   2.adhiyajnah kathan koatr deheasminmadhusoodan.
prayanakale kathan jneyoasi niyatatmabhiah॥

(2) he madhusoodan (krishn), is sharir mean yajn ka kshetr (aansh) kaun-sa hai aur kaise? phir jis vyakti ne apane-ap ko vash mean kar liya hai, vah is sansar se prasthan ke samay tujhako kis prakar jan jaega?adhyatmik manovritti vale logoan ko mrityu ke samay tumhara jnan kis prakar hota hai.

   3.aksharan brahm paraman svabhavoadhyatmamuchyate.
bhootabhavoddhayavakaro visargah karmasanjnitah ॥

shri bhagavanh ne kaha: brahm (ya param) anashvar hai, sarvachch (any sab vastuoan se uchchatar) hai. svabhav ko hi atma kaha jata hai. karm us srijanashil shakti ka nam hai, jo sab vastuoan ko astitv mean lane ka karan hai. svabhav: brahm jiv ka roop dharan kar leta hai; adhyay 15, 7 .[2] adhyatm: sharir ka svami, upabhokta. [3] yah brahm ki vah pravastha hai, jo vaiyaktik atma banati hai. brahm ek aparivartanashil svatah astitv hai, jis par ve sab vastuean- jo jiti haian, gati karati haian aur jinaka astitv hai- adharit haian. atm manushy aur prakriti mean vidyaman atma hai. karm vah srijanashil sanveg hai, jisase jivan ke roop udbhoot hote haian. vishv ka samoocha vikas karm kahalata hai. bhagavan ise shuroo karata hai aur koee karan nahian ki vaiyaktik jiv isamean bhag n le. aparivartanashil brahm, jo kartavy aur vastu-roopatmakata ke sab dvandvoan se oopar hai, vishv ke prayojan ki drishti se nity karta, adhyatm ban jata hai, jo nity vastu- roop ke - jo ki prakriti ka parivartanashil aansh hai, jo sab roopoan ka adhar hai- mukabale mean hota hai, jabaki karm srijanashil shakti hai, gatividhi ka mool tattv. ye sab svadhin nahian haian, apitu ek hi bhagavanh ke vibhinn prakat-roop haian. karta aur vastu-roop ki paraspar kriya, jo ki vishv ka kendriy adarsh hai, brahm, paramatma ki abhivyakti hai, jo karta aur aur vastu-roop ke bhedabhav se oopar hai. mandooky upanishadh mean is bat ko jor dekar kaha gaya hai ki jahaan parabrahm anirvachaniy aur nirgun[4]hai, vahaan jivit paramatma sansar ka shasak hai, antaryami atma.[5] brahm aur eeshvar, parabrahm aur vyaktik paramatma ka antar upanishadh mean spasht roop se pratipadit kiya gaya hai. vyaktik paramatma vishv ka svami hai, jabaki brahm vishvottar vastavikata hai.

4.adhibhootan ksharo bhavah purushashchadhidaivatamh.
adhiyajnaahamevatr dehe dehabhritaan var॥

sab siraji gee vastuoan ka adhar parivartanashil prakriti haiah daiviy tattvoan ka adhar vishv ki atma hai. aur sab yajnoan ka adhar, he sharir dhariyoan mean shreshth (arjun), is sharir mean maian svayan hi hooan.yahaan phir lekhak yah chahata hai ki ham brahm ka usake sab pahaluoan ki drishti se akhand jnan prapt karean. ek aparivartanashil divy shakti hai brahm; ek vyaktik paramatma hai eeshvar, jo sampoorn bhakti ka patr hai; ek vishvatma, hiranyagarbh, jo vishv ka adhyaksh devata hai; aur vyaktik atma jiv hai, jo brahm ke uchchatar svabhav aur parivartanashil prakriti mean sahayog deta hai. dekhie 7, 4. mrityu ke ksham mean atma ka dhyan jahaan rahata hai, vahian vah pahuanchati hai

5.antakale ch mamev smaranmuktva kalevaramh.
yah prayati s maddhavan yati nastyatr sanshayah॥

mrityu ke samay jo koee keval mera dhyan karata hua ape sharir ka tyag karake is sansar se prayan karata hai, vah mere pad ko prapt hota hai, isamean koee sanshay nahian hai. is shlok mean phir 7, 30 mean kahi gee bat ko uthaya gaya hai. upanishado mean mrityu ke ksham mean vidyaman man ki dasha ke mahattv par bahut jor diya gaya hai. chhandogy, 3, 14, 1; prashn upanishadh, 3, 10. ham antim kshanoan mean paramatma ka vichar keval tabhi kar paeange, jabaki ham pahale bhi usake bhakt rahe hoan.
