1.sannyasan karmanaan krishn punaryogan ch shansasi .
yachchhey etayorekan tanme broohi sunishchitamh ॥

arjun ne kaha: he krishn, too karmoan ke tyag ki prashansa karata hai aur phir niahsvarth karm ki prashansa karata hai. ab mujhe sunishchit roop se bata ki in donoan mean se kaun-sa adhik achchha hai? shankarachary ka kathan hai ki yahaan par yah jo prashn uthaya gaya hai, vah ajnani manushyoan ke lie uthaya gaya hai, kyoanki jisane atma ko prapt kar liya hai, usake lie aur kuchh praptavy nahian rahata, kyoan ki vah pahale hi sab-kuchh prapt kar chuka hai. 3, 17 mean yah kaha gaya hai ki usake lie karane ko aur koee karttavy shesh nahian rahata. 3, 4 aur 4, 6 jaise sthanoan par karm ki paddhati ko atmajnan prapt karane ke lie ek sahayak aang ke roop mean prastut kiya gaya hai, jabaki 6, 3 mean yah kaha gaya hai ki jo manushy sahi jnan prastut kar chuka hai, use phir karm karane ki koee avashyakata nahian rahati. isake alava, 4, 21 mean usake lie sharir ke nirvahamatr ke lie apekshit karm ke sivay baki sab karmoan ka nishedh kar diya gaya hai. jis vyakti ko atma ki sachchi prakriti ka jnan hai, use 5, 8 mean sada ekagrachitt se is bat ka dhyan karane ke lie kaha gaya hai ki vah ’maian nahian hooan, jo is kary ko kar raha hai. yah to svapn mean bhi soch pana sambhav nahian hai ki jis vyakti ko atma ka jnan ho gaya hai, use karm se koee vasta ho sakata hai, jo karm sachche jnan ka itana virodhi hai aur poornataya bhrant jnan par adharit hai.[1] is prakar shankarachary ka kathan hai ki arjun ka prashn keval un logoan ke vishay mean hai, jinhean atma ka jnan nahian hua hai. ajnaniyoan ke lie sannyas ki apeksha karm adhik achchha hai.sari gita mean lekhak ka mantavy yah pratit hota hai ki jis karm ka tyag kiya jana hai, vah keval svarthapoorn karm hai, jo hamean karm ki shrriankhala se baandhata hai aur sari gatividhi tyag--yogy nahian hai. yah thik hai ki hamara uddhar keval karmoan dvara nahian ho sakata, parantu karm-uddharak jnan ke virodhi nahian hai.

2.sannyasah karmayogashch niahshreyasakaravubhau.
tayostu karmasannyasatkarmayogo vishishyate॥

shri bhagavanh ne kaha: karmoan ka sannyas aur unaka niahsvarth roop se karana, donoan hi atma ki mukti ki or le jane vale haian. parantu in donoan mean karmoan ko tyag dene ki apeksha karmoan ka niahsvarth roop se karana adhik achchha hai. [2]saankhy- paddhati mean karmoan ke tyag ki avashyakata hoti hai aur yog mean sahi bhavana se karm karane par agrah kiya gaya hai. mool mean pahuanchakar ve donoan ek haian, parantu yogamarg hamare sammukh adhik svabhavik roop mean ata hai. donoan marg ek-doosare ke virodhi nahian haian. saankhy mean jnan ya antardrishti par jor diya gaya hai; yog mean sankalpatmak prayatn par bal diya gaya hai. inamean se pahali paddhati mean ham vijatiy tattvoan ko vichar dvara door hatakar atma ka jnan prapt karate haian, doosari paddhati mean ham unhean sankalp dvara door hata dete haian.
