ganga ki utpatti tatha mahima

shrikrishn kahate haian– priye! isi bich mean bhagavan shankar vahaan upasthit hue. unake mukh par muskarahat thi. ve sare aangoan mean vibhooti lagaye vrishabharaj nandikeshvar ki pith par baithe the. vyaghracharm ka vastr, sarpamay, yajnopavit, sir par sunahare rang ki jata ka bhar, lalat mean ardhachandr, hathoan mean trishool, pattish tatha uttam khatvaang dharan kiye, shreshth ratnoan ke saratattv se nirmit svar-yantr liye bhagavan shiv shighr hi vahan se utare aur bhaktibhav se mastak jhuka kamalakant ko pranam karake unake vamabhag mean baithe. phir indr adi samast devata, muni, adity, vasu, rudr, manu, siddh aur charan vahaan padhare. un sabane purushottam ki stuti ki. us samay unake sare aang pulakit ho rahe the. phir samast devataoan ne sir jhukakar bhagavan shiv ko pranam kiya. tadanantar svar-yantr liye bhagavan shankar ne sumadhur talasvar ke sath sangit arambh kiya. priye! usamean ham donoan ke gunoan tatha rasasambandhi sundar padoan ka gan hone laga. man ko moh lenevale samayig rag[1], kanth ki ekatanata, ek manohar man[2], guru-laghu ke kram se pad-bhed-viram, atidirgh gamak[3] tatha madhur anand ke sath unhoanne premapoorvak svayan-nirmit aisa sangit chhe da, jo sansar mean atyant durlabh hai. us samay bhagavan shiv ke sampoorn aangoan mean romaanch ho aya tha aur ve netroan se baranbar aansoo bahate the. priye! us sangit ko sunane matr se vahaan baithe hue muni tatha devata moorchchhit evan besudh ho drav (jal)– roop ho gaye. shrihari ke parshadoan ki tatha brahma ji ki bhi yahi dasha huee. bhagavan narayan, lakshmi tatha gan karane vale svayan shiv bhi dravaroop ho gaye. praneshvari! us samay vaikunthadham ko jal se poorn hua dekh mujhe shanka huee. tab vahaan jakar maianne un sab devata adi ki moortiyoan (shariroan)– ka poorvavat nirman kiya. unake vaise hi roop, vaise hi astr-shastr tatha vaise hi vahan-bhooshan banaye. unake svabhav, man tatha vishay-vasanaean bhi poorvavat thian. tadanantar us jalarashi ke liye vaikunth ke charoan or sthan banaya; phir usaki adhishthatri devi (ganga) apane us vasasthan mean ayian.

samast devataoan ke shariroan se utpann huee vah divy jalarashi hi devanadi ganga ke nam se prakhyat huee. vah mumukshuoan ko moksh aur bhaktoan ki haribhakti pradan karane vali hai. usaka sparsh karake ayi huee vayu ke sampark se bhi papiyoan ke karo doan janmoan ke nanavidh pap tatkal nasht ho jate haian. praneshvari! devanadi ke sakshat darshan tatha sparsh ka kya phal hoga– yah maian bhi nahian janata; phir usake jal mean snan karane se prapt hone vale puny ke vishay mean to kahana hi kya hai? usaki mahima ka samyak niroopan asambhav hai. prithvi par ‘pushkar’ ko sab tirthoan se uttam bataya gaya hai. vedoan ne use sarvashreshth kaha hai; parantu vah bhi is (ganga)– ki solahavian kala ke bhi barabar nahian hai. raja bhagirath is devanadi ko bhootal par laye the, isaliye yah ‘bhagirathi’ nam se prasiddh huee.

  1. sangit mean shadj adi svaroan, unake varnoan aur aangoan se yukt vah dhvani jo kisi vishisht tal mean baithayi huee ho aur jo manoranjan ke liye gayi jati ho. sangit-shastr ke bharatiy acharyoan ne chhah rag mane haian; parantu in ragoan ke namoan ke sambandh mean bahut matabhed haian. bharat aur hanumat ke mat se ye chhah rag is prakar haian– bhairav, kaushik (malakos), hiandol, dipak, shri aur megh. someshvar aur brahma ke mat se in chhah ragoan ke nam is prakar haian– shri, vasant, pancham, bhairav, megh aur natanarayan. narad-sanhita ka mat hai ki malav, mallar, shri, vasant, hiandol aur karnat– ye chhah rag haian. parantu ajakal prayah brahma aur someshvar ka mat hi adhik prachalit hai. svar-bhed se rag tin prakar ke kahe gaye haian– 1. sampoorn, jisamean satoan svar lagate hoan; 2. sha dav, jisamean keval chhah svar lagate hoan aur koee ek svar varjit ho; aur 3. o dav, jisamean keval paanch svar lagate hoan aur do svar varjit hoan. matang ke mat se ragoan ke ye tin bhed haian– 1. shuddh, jo shastriy niyam tatha vidhan ke anusar ho aur jisamean kisi doosare rag ki chhaya n ho; 2. salank ya chhayalag, jisamean kisi doosare rag ki chhaya bhi dikhayi deti ho, athava jo do ragoan ke yog se bana ho; 3. sankirn, jo kee ragoan se mel se bana ho. sankirn ko ‘sankar rag’ bhi kahate haian. oopar jin chhah ragoan ke nam batalaye gaye haian, unamean se pratyek rag ka ek nishchit saragam ya svar-kram hai. usaka ek vishisht svaroop mana gaya hai. usake liye ek vishisht rritu, samay aur pahar adi nishchit haian. usake liye kuchh ras niyat haian tatha anek aisi batean bhi kahi gayi haian, jinamean se adhikaansh keval kalpit hi haian. jaise, mana gaya hai ki amuk rag ka amuk dvip ya varsh par adhikar hai, usaka adhipati amuk grah hai, adi. isake atirikt bharat aur hanumat ke mat se pratyek rag ki paanch-paanch raginiyaan aur someshvar adi ke mat se chhah-chhah raginiyaan haian. is antim mat ke anusar pratyek rag ke ath-ath putr tatha ath-ath putravadhuean bhi haian. 4. yadi vastavik drishti se dekha jay to rag aur ragini mean koee antar nahian hai. jo kuchh antar hai, vah keval kalpit hai. haan, ragoan mean raginiyoan ki apeksha kuchh visheshata aur pradhanata avashy hoti hai aur raginiyaan unaki chhaya se yukt jan p dati haian; atah ham raginiyoan ko ragoan ke avantar bhed kah sakate haian. isake siva aur bhi bahut-se rag haian, jo kee ragoan ki chhaya par athava mel se banate haian aur ‘sankar rag’ kahalate haian. shuddh ragoan ki utpatti ke sambandh mean logoan ka vishvas hai ki jis prakar shrikrishn ki vanshi ke sat chhedoan mean se sat svar nikalate haian, usi prakar shrikrishn ji ki 1608 gopikaoan ke gane se 1608 prakar ke rag utpann hue the aur unhian mean se bachate-bachate ant mean keval chhah rag aur unaki 30 ya 36 raginiyaan rah gayian. kuchh logoan ka yah bhi mat hai ki mahadev ji ke paanch mukhoan se paanch rag (shri, vasant, bhairav, pancham aur megh) nikale haian aur parvati ke mukh se chhatha ‘natanarayan’ rag nikala hai.
