chaturdash adhyay
sambandh- terahavean adhyay mean ‘kshetr’ aur ‘kshetrajn’ ke lakshanoan ka nirdesh karake un donoan ke jnan ko hi jnan batalaya aur usake anusar kshetr ke svaroop, svabhav, vikar aur usake tattvoan ki utpatti ke kram adi tatha kshetrajn ke svaroop aur usake prabhav ka varnan kiya. vahaan unnisavean shlok se prakriti-purush ke nam se prakaran arambh karake gunoan ko prakritijany batalaya aur ikkisavean shlok mean yah bat bhi kahi ki purush ke bar-bar achchhi-buri yoniyoan mean janm hone mean gunoan ka sang hi hetu hai. gunoan ke bhinn-bhinn svaroop kya haian, ye jivatma ko kaise sharir mean baandhate haian, kis gun ke sang se kis yoni mean janm hota hai, gunoan se chhootane ke upay kya haian, gunoan se chhoote hue purushoan ke lakshan tatha acharan kaise hote haian- ye sab batean janane ki svabhavik hi ichchha hoti hai; atev isi vishay ka spashtikaran karane ke lie is chaudahavean adhyay ka arambh kiya gaya hai. terahavean adhyay mean varnit jnan ko hi spasht karake chaudahavean adhyay mean vistarapoorvak samajhana hai, isaliye pahale bhagavanh do shlokoan mean us jnan ka mahattv batalakar usake punah varnan ki pratijna karate haian -

prashn- yahaan ‘jnananamh’ pad kin jnanoan ka vachak hai aur unamean se yahaan bhagavanh kis jnan ke varnan ki pratijna karate haian; tatha us jnan ko any jnanoan ki apeksha uttam aur par kyoan batalate haian?
uttar- shruti-smriti-puranadi mean vibhinn vishayoan ko samajhane ke liye jo nana prakar ke bahut-se upadesh haian, un sabhi ka vachak yahaan ‘jnananamh’ pad hai. unamean se prakriti aur purush ke svaroop ka vivechan karake purush ke, vastavik svaroop ko pratyaksh kara dene vala jo tattvajnan hai, yahaan bhagavanh usi jnan ka varnan karane ki pratijna karate haian. vah jnan paramatma ke svaroop ko pratyaksh karane vala aur jivatma ko prakriti ke bandhan se chhu dakar sada ke liye mukt kar dene vala hai, isaliye us jnan ko anyany jnanoan ki apeksha uttam aur par (atyant utkrishth) batalaya gaya hai.
prashn- yahaan ‘bhooyah’ pad ke prayog ka kya bhav hai?
uttar- ‘bhooyah’ pad ka prayog karake yah bhav dikhalaya gaya hai ki is jnan ka niroopan to pahale bhi kiya ja chuka hai, parantu atyant hi gahan aur durvijnay hone ke karan samajh mean ana kathin hai; atah bhalibhaanti samajhane ke liye prakarantar se punah usi ka varnan kiya jata hai.
