choohe ka svarth ke vishay mean bilav ko batana
bilav ki aisi param shantipoorn batean sunakar uttam manhtrana ke jnata choohe ne madhur vani mean apane liye hitakar vachan kaha- ‘lomash! tumane jo kuchh kaha, vah sab maianne dhhyan dekar suna. ab meri buddhi mean jo vichar shphurit ho raha hai use batalata hooan, at: mere is kathan ko bhi sun lo.[8] ‘mitroan ko janana chahiye, shatruoan ko bhi achhchhi tarah samajh lena chahiye- is jagat mean mitr aur shatru ki yah pahachan athyanht sookshhm tatha vijnajanoan ko abhimat hai. ‘avasar ane par kitane hi mitr shatru roop ho jate haian aur kitane hi shatru mitr ban jate haian. parashpar sandhi kar lene ke pashhchat jab ve kam aur krodh ke adhin ho jate haian, tab yah samajhana asamhbhav ho jata hai ki ve mitr bhav se yukht haian ya shatru bhav se? ‘n kabhi koee shatru hota hai aur n mitr hota hai. avashhyak shakti ke samhbanhdh se log ek doosare ke mitr aur shatru hua karate haian. ‘jo jisake jite-ji apana shvarth sadhata dekhata hai aur jisake mar jane par apani hani manata hai, vah tab tak usaka mitr bana rahata hai, jab tak ki is sthiti mean koee ulat-pher nahian hota. ‘maitri koee sthir vashtu nahian hai aur shatruta ki sada sthit rahane vali chij nahian hai. shvarth ke samhbanhdh se mitr aur shatru hote rahate haian. ‘kabhi-kabhi samay ke pher se mitr shatru ban jata hai aur shatru bhi mitr ban jata hai; khyoanki shvarth bada़ balavan hota hai. ‘jo manushhy shvarth ke samhbanhdh ka vichar kiye bina hi mitroan par keval vishhvas aur shatruoan par keval avishhvas karata jata hai tatha jo shatru ho ya mitr, jo sabake prati premabhav hi shthapit karane lagata hai, usaki buddhi bhi chanchal hi samajhani chahiye. ‘jo vishhvasapatr n ho, us par kabhi vishhvas n kare aur jo vishhvasapatr ho, us par bhi adhik vishhvas n kare; khyoanki vishhvas uthpanhn hua bhay manushhy ka mulochhchhed kar dalata hai. ‘mata-pita, putr, mama, bhaanje, samhbanhdhi tatha banhdhu-banhdhav-in sab mean shvarth ke samhbanhdh se hi shneh hota hai. ‘apana phyara putr bhi yadi patit ho jata hai to maan-bap use thyag dete haian aur sab log sada apani hi raksha karana chahate haian. at: dekh lo, is jagat mean shvarth hi sar hai’.[9]
‘buddhiman lomash! jo tum aj jal ke banhdhan se chhootane ke bad hi kritajnatavash mujh apane shatru ko sukh pahuanchane ka asandighdh upay dhooandhane lage ho, isaka khya karan hai? jahaan tak upakar ka badala chukane ka prashhn hai, vahaan tak to hamari-tumhhari saman sthiti hai. yadi maianne tumhhean sakant se chhuda़ya hai, to tumane bhi to mujhe vaisi hi vipatti se bachaya hai; phir maian to kuchh karata nahian, tumhhian khyoan upakar ka badala dene ke liye utavale ho uthe ho? ‘tum isi shthan par baragad se utare the aur pahale se hi yahaan jal bichha hua tha; parantu tumane chapalata ke karan udhar dhhyan nahian diya aur fans gaye. ‘chapal prani jab apane hi liye kalhyanakari nahian hota to vah doosare ki bhalaee khya karega? at: yah nishchit hai ki chapal purush sab kam chaupat kar deta hai. ‘isake siva tum jo yah mithi-mithi bat kah rahe ho ki ‘aj tum mujhe b de priy lagate ho’ isaka bhi karan hai, mere mitr; vah sab maian vishtar ke sath batata hooan, suno. manushhy karan se hi premapatr aur karan se hi dvesh ka patr banata hai.[9] ‘yah jiv-jagat shvarth ka hi sathi hai. koee kisi ka priy nahian hai. do sage bhaeeyoan tatha pati aur patni mean bhi jo parashpar prem hota hai, vah bhi shvarthavash hi hai. is jagat mean kisi ke bhi prem ko maian nishhkaran ( shvartharahit) nahian samajhata. ‘kabhi-kabhi kisi shvarth ko lekar bhaee bhi kupit ho jate haian athava patni bhi rooth jati hai. yadyapi ve shvabhavat: ek-doosare se jaisa prem karate haian, aisa prem doosare log nahian karate haian. ‘koee dan dene se priy hota hai, koee priy vachan bolane se pritipatr banata hai aur koee kary siddhi ke liye manhtr, hom evan jap karane se prem ka bhajan ban jata hai. ‘kisi karan (shvarth ) ko lekar uthpanhn hone vali priti jab tak vah karan rahata hai, tab tak bani rahati hai. us karan ka shthan nasht ho jane par usako lekar ki huee priti bhi shvat: nivrit ho jati hai.[10]
choohe ka bilav ko samajhana
‘ab mere sharir ko kha jane ke siva doosara kaun-sa aisa karan rah gaya hai, jisase maian yah man looan ki vashtav mean tumhhara mujh par prem hai. is samay jo tumhhara shvarth hai, use maian achhchhi tarah samajhata hooan. ‘samay karan ke shvaroop ko badal deta hai; aur shvarth us samay ka anusaran karata rahata hai. vidvan purush us shvarth ko samajhata hai aur sadharan log vidvan purush ke hi pichhe chalate haian. tathpary yah hai ki maian vidvan hooan; isaliye tumhhare shvarth ko achhchhi tarah samajhata hooan at: tumhhean mujhase aisi bat nahian kahani chahiye. ‘tum shakhtishali ho to bhi jo besamay mujh par itana shneh dikha rahe ho, isaka yah shvarth hi karan hai; at; maian bhi apane shvarth se vichalit nahian ho sakata. sandhi aur vigrah ke vishay mean mera vichar sunishchit hai. ‘mitrata aur shatruta ke roop to badaloan ke saman kshan-kshan mean badalate rahate haian. aj hi tum mere shatru hokar phir aj hi mere mitr ho sakate ho aur usake bad aj hi pun: shatru bhi ban sakate ho. dekho, yah shvarth ka samhbanhdh kitana chanchal hai? ‘pahale jab upayukht karan tha, tab ham donoan mean maitri ho gayi thi, kiantu kal ne jise upasthit kar diya tha us karan ke nivrit hone ke sath hi vah maitri bhi chali gayi. ‘tum jati se hi mere shatru ho, kiantu vishesh prayojan se mitr ban gaye the. vah prayojan siddh kar lene ke pashhchat tumhhari prakriti phir sahaj shatrubhav ko prapht ho gayi. ‘maian is prakar shukr adi acharyoan ke banaye hue nitishastr ki batoan ko thik-thik janakar bhi tumhhare liye us jal ke bhitar kaise pravesh kar sakata tha? yah tumhhian mujhe batao. ‘tumhhare parakram se maian pran-sankat se mukht hua aur meri shakti se tum. jab ek doosare par anugrah karane ka kam poora ho gaya, tab phir hamean parashpar milane ki avashhyakata nahian.[10] ‘saumhy! ab tumhhara kam ban gaya aur mera prayojan bhi siddh ho gaya; at: ab mujhe kha lene ke siva mere dvara tumhhara doosara koee prayojan siddh hone vala nahian hai. ‘maian anhn hooan aur tum balavan ho. maian doorbal hooan aur tum balavan ho. is prakar mere aur tumhhare bal mean koee samanata nahian hai. donoan mean bahut anhtar hai. at: ham donoan mean sandhi nahian ho sakati. ‘maian tumhhara vichar jan gaya hooan, nishhchay hi tum jal se chhootane ke bad se hi sahaj upay tatha prayathn dvara ahar dhooandh rahe ho. ‘ahar ki khoj ke liye hi nikalane par tum is jal mean phanse the aur ab isase chhootakar bhookh se pi dit ho rahe ho. nishhchay hi shastriy buddhi ka sahara lekar ab tum mujhe kha jaoge. maian janata hooan ki tum bhookhe ho aur yah tumhhare bhojan ka samay hai; at: tum pun: mujhase sandhi karake apane liye bhojan ki talash karate ho. ‘sakhe! tum jo bal-bachhchoan ke bich mean baithakar mujh par sandhi ka bhav dikha rahe ho tatha meri seva karane ka yathn karate ho, vh sab mere yoghy nahian hai. ‘tumhhare sath mujhe dekhakar tumhhari phyari pathni aur putr jo tumase b da prem rakhate haian, harsh se ulhlasit ho mujhe kaise nahian kha jayange? ‘ab maian tumase nahian milooanga. ham donoan ke milan ka jo uddeshhy tha, vah poora ho gaya.[11]
yadi tumhhean mere shubh karm (upakar) ka shmaran hai to shvayan shvashth rahakar mere bhi kalhyan ka chinhtan karo. ‘jo apana shatru ho, dusht ho, kasht mean p da hua ho, bhookha ho aur apane liye bhojan ki talash kar raha ho, usake samane koee bhi buddhiman (jo usaka bhojhy hai)’ kaise ja sakata hai. ‘tumhhara kalhyan ho. ab maian chala jaooanga mujhe door se bhi tumase dar lagata hai. mera yah palayan vishhvasapoorvak ho raha ho ya pramad ke karan; is samay yahi mera kartavhy hai. balavanoan ke nikat rahana durbal prani ke liye kabhi achhchha nahian mana jata. ‘lomash! ab maian tumase kabhi nahian milooanga. tum laut jao. yadi tum samajhatean ho ki maianne tumhhara koee upakar kiya hai to tum mere prati sada maitribhav banaye rakhana. ‘jo balavan aur papi ho, vah shanhtabhav se rahata ho to bhi mujhe sada usase darana chahiye. yadi tumhhean mujhase koee shvarth siddh nahian karana hai to batao maian tumhhara (isake atirikht) kaun-sa kary karooan ? ‘maian tumhhean ichhchhanusar sab kuchh de sakata hooan; parantu apane apako kabhi nahian dooanga. apani raksha karane ke liye to santati, rajhy, rathn, aur dhan-sabaka thyag kiya ja sakata hai. apana sarvashv thyagakar bhi shvayan hi apani raksha karani chahiye. ‘hamane suna hai ki yadi prani jivit rahe to vah shatruoan dvara apane adhikar mean kiye hue aishhvary, dhan, aur rathnoan ko pun: vapas la sakata hai. yah bat prathyaksh dekhi bhi gayi hai.[11] ‘dhan aur rathnoan ki bhaanti apane apako shatru ke hath mean de dena abhisht nahian hai. dhan aur stri ke dvara arthat unaka thyag karake bhi sarvada apani raksha karani chahiye. ‘jo athmaraksha mean tathpar haian aur bhalibhaanti parikshapoorvak nirnay karake kam karate haian, aise purushoan ko apane hi dosh se uthpanhn hone vali apattiyaan nahian prapht hoti haian. ‘jo durbal prani apane balavan shatruoan ko achhchhi tarah janate haian, unaki shastr ke arth jnan dvara sthir huee buddhi kabhi vichalit nahian hoti’.[12]
bilav dvara choohe ki stuti karana
palit ne jab is prakar shpashht roop se k di phatakar sunayi, tab bilav ne lajjit hokar pun: us choohe se is prakar kaha. lomash bola- bhaee! maian tumase sathy ki shapath khakar kahata hooan, mitr se droh karana to b di ghrinit bat hai. tum jo sada mere hit mean tathpar rahate ho, ise maian tumhhari uthtam buddhi ka hi parinam smajhata hooan. shreshth purush! tumane to yatharth roop se niti-shastr ka sar hi bata diya. mujhase tumhhara vichar poora-poora milata hai. mitravar! kiantu tum mujhe galat n samajho. mera bhav tumase viparit nahian hai. tumane mujhe pranadan diya hai. isi se mujh par tumhhare sauhard ka prabhav p da. maian dharm ko janata hooan, gunoan ka moolhy samajhata hooan, visheshat: tumhhare prati kritajn hooan, mitravathsal hooan aur sabase b di bat yah hai ki maian tumhhara bhakht ho gaya hooan; at: mere achhchhe mitr! tum phir mere sath aisa hi bartav karo-melajol badha़kar mere sath ghoomo-phiro. yadi tum kah do to maian banhdhu-banhdhavoan sahit tumhhare liye apane pran bhi thyag de sakata hooan. vidvanoan ne mujh-jaise manashvi purushoan par sada vishhvas hi kiya aur dekha hai. at: dharm ke tattv ko janane vale palit! tumhhean mujh par sandeh nahian karana chahiye.
bilav ke dvara is prakar ki shtuti ki jane par bhi chooha apane man se gamhbhir bhav hi dharan kiye raha. usane marjar se pun: is prakar kaha- ‘bhaiya! tum vashtav mean b de sadhu ho. yah bat maianne tumhhare vishay mean sun rakhi hai. usase mujhe prasanhnata bhi hai; parantu maian tum par vishhvas nahian kar sakata. tum meri kitani hi shtuti khyoan n karo. mere liye kitani hi dhanarashi khyoan n luta do; parantu ab maian tumhhare sath mil nahian sakata. sakhe! buddhiman evan vidvan purush bina kisi vishesh karan ke apane shatru ke vash mean nahian jate. ‘is vishay mean shukrachary nean do gathaean kahi haian. unhhean dhhyan dekar suno. jab apane aur shatru par ek-si vipatti ayi ho, tab nirbal ko sabal shatru ke sath mel karake b di savadhani aur yukti se apana kam nikalana chahiye aur jab kam ho jay, to phir use shatru par vishhvas nahian karana chahiye ( yah phali gatha hai)’. ‘(doosari gatha yoan haian ) jo vishhvasapatr n ho, us par vishhvas n kare tatha jo vishhvasapatr ho, us par bhi adhik vishhvas n kare. apane prati sada doosaroan ka vishhvas uthpanhn kare; kiantu shvayan doosaroan ka vishhvas n karean. ‘isaliye sabhi avashthaoan mean apane jivan ki raksha kare; khyoanki jivit rahane par purush ko dhan aur santan-sabhi mil jate haian.[12]
choohe ka doosare bil mean jana
‘sankshep mean nitishastr ka sar yah hai ki kisi ka bhi vishhvas n karana hi uthtam mana gaya hai; isaliye doosare logoan par vishhvas n karane mean hi apana vishesh hit hai. ‘jo vishhvas n karake savadhan rahate haian, ve durbal hone par bhi shatruoan dvara mare nahian jate. parantu jo un par vishhvas karate haian, ve balavan hone par bhi durbal shatruoan dvara mar dale jate haian. ‘bilav! tum jaise logoan se mujhe sada apani raksha karani chahiye aur tum bhi apane janhmajat shatru chanhdal se apane ko bachaye rakho’. choohe ke is prakar kahate samay chanhdal ka nam sunate hi bilav bahut dar gaya aur vah dali chho dakar b de veg se turant doosari or chala gaya. tadananhtar nitishastr ke aur tattv ko janane vala buddhiman palit apane bauddhik shakti ka parichay de doosare bil mean chala gaya. is prakar durbal aur akela hone par bhi buddhiman palit choohe ne apane buddhi-bal se bahutere prabal shatruoan ko parasht kar diya; at: apatti ke samay vidvan purush balavan shatru ke sath bhi sandhi kar le.[13]
bhishm dvara yudhishthir ko samajhana
dekhoan, choohe aur bilav donoan ek doosare ka ashray lekar vipatti se chhutakara pa gaye the. maharaj! is drishtanht se maianne tumhhean vishtarapoorvak kshatr-dharm ka marg dikhaya hai. ab sankshep mean kuchh meri bat suno. choohe or bilav ek doosare se vair rakhane vale prani haian to bhi unhhoanne sankat ke samay ek doosare se uthtam priti kar li. unamean parashpar sandhi kar lene ka vichar paida ho gaya. aise avasaroan par buddhiman purush uthtam buddhi ka ashray le sandhi karake shatru ko parasht kar deta hai. isi tarah vidvan purush bhi yadi asavadhan rahe to use doosare buddhiman purush parasht kar dete haian. isaliye manushhy bhayabhit hokar bhi nidar ke saman aur kisi par vishhvas n karate hue bhi vishhvas karane vale ke saman bartav kare, use kabhi asavadhan hokar nahian chalana chahiye. yadi chalata hai to nasht ho jata hai. nareshhvar! samayanusar shatru ke sath bhi sandhi aur mitr ke sath bhi yuddh karana uchit hai. sandhi ke tattv ko janane-vale vidvan purush isi bat ko sada kahate haian. maharaj! aisa janakar nitishastr ke tathpary ko hridayangam karake udyogashil evan savadhan rahakar bhay ane se pahale bhayabhit ke saman acharan karana chahiye. balavan shatru ke samip dare hue ke saman upasthit hona chahiye. usi tarah usake sath sandhi bhi kar leni chahiye. savadhan purush ke udyogashil bane rahane se shvayan hi sankat se bachane vali buddhi uthpanhn hoti hai. rajan! jo purush bhay ane ke pahale se hi usaki or se sashank rahata hai, usake samane pray: bhay ka avasar hi nahian ata hai; parantu jo ni:shank hokar doosaroan par vishhvas kar leta hai, use sahasa b de bhari bhay ka samana karana p data hai. jo manushhy apane ko buddhiman manakar nirbhay vicharata hai, use kabhi koee salah nahian deni chahiye; khyoanki vah doosare ki salah sunata hi nahian hai. bhay ko n janane ki apeksha use janane vala thik hai; khyoanki vah usase bachane ke liye upay janane ki ichhchha se parinamadarshi purushoan ke pas jata hai.[13]
