jis paramatma ki hamean chah hai, vah (sadguru) paramatma atma se abhinn jab nirdeshan dene lage, tabhi vastavik bhajan arambh hota hai. yahaan prerak ki avastha mean paramatma aur sadguru ek doosare ke paryay haian. jis satah par ham kh de haian usi star par jab svayan prabhu hriday mean utar ayean, rokatham karane lagean, dagamagane par sanbhalean, tabhi man vash mean ho pata hai- ‘tulasidas (man) bas hoi tabahian jab prerak prabhu barajai.’ (vinayapatrika, 89) jab tak ishtadev rathi hokar, atma se abhinn hokar prerak ke roop mean kh de nahian ho jate, tab tak sahi matra mean pravesh hi nahian hota. vah sadhak pratyashi avashy hai, lekin bhajan usake pas kahaan?
