kashyashch parameshvasah shikhandi ch maharathah.
dhrishtadyumno viratashch satyakishchaparajitah..17..

kayaroopi kashi. purush jab sab or se man sahit indriyoan ko samet kar kaya mean hi kendrit karata hai, to ‘parameshvasah’- parameesh mean vas ka adhikari ho jata hai. param eesh mean vas dilane mean saksham kaya hi kashi hai. kaya mean hi param eesh ka nivas hai. ‘parameshvas’ ka arth shreshth dhanush vala nahian balki param+eesh+vas hai.

shikha-sootr ka tyag hi ‘shikhandi’ hai. ajakal log sir ke bal kata lete haian aur sootr ke nam par gale ki janeoo hata lete haian, agni jalana chho d dete haian, ho gaya sannyas unaka. nahian, vastutah shikha lakshy ka pratik hai, jise apako pana hai aur sootr hai sanskaroan ka. jab tak age paramatma ko pana shesh hai, pichhe sanskaroan ka sootrapat laga hua hai, tab tak tyag kaisa? sannyas kaisa? abhi to chalane vale pathik haian. jab praptavy prapt ho jay, pichhe lage hue sanskaroan ki dor kat jay, aisi avastha mean bhram sarvatha shant ho jata hai. isaliye shikhandi hi bhram roopi bhishm ka vinash karata hai. shikhandi chintan-path ki vishisht yogyata hai, maharathi hai.

dhrishtadyumnah’ - dridh aur achal man tatha ‘viratah’ - sarvatr virath eeshvar ka prasar dekhane ki kshamata ityadi daivi sampadh ke pramukh gun haian. sattvikata hi satyaki hai. saty ke chintan ki pravritti arthath sattvikata yadi bani hai to kabhi giravat nahian ane payegi. is sangharsh mean parajit nahian hone degi.
