utathy ka mandhata ka upadesh- raja ke liye dharmapalan ki avashyakata

bhishmaji kahate haian- rajanh!brahmavettaoan mean shreshth aangiraputr utathy ne yuvanashv ke putr mandhata se prasannatapoorvak jin kshatriy dharmoan ka varnan kiya tha, unhean suno. yudhishthir! brahmajnaniyoan mean shiromani utathy ne jis prakar unhean upadesh diya tha, vah sab prasang poora poora tumhean bata raha hooan, shravan karo.

utathy bole- mandhata! raja dharm ka palan aur prachar karane ke liye hi hota hai, vishay-sukhoan ka upabhog karane ke liye nahian. tumhean yah janana chahiye ki raja sampoorn jagat ka rakshak hai. yadi raja dharmacharan karata hai to devata ban jata hai, aur yadi vah adharmacharan karata hai to narak mean hi girata hai. sampoorn prani dharm ke hi adhar par sthit hai aur dharm raja ke oopar pratishthit hai. jo raja achchhi tarah dharm ka palan aur usake anukool shasan karata hai vahi dirghakal tak is prithvi ka svami bana rahata hai. param dharmatma aur shrisampann raja dharm ka sakshath svaroop kahalata hai. yadi vah dharm ka palan nahian karata to log devataoan ki bhi ninda karate haian aur vah dharmatma nahian, papatma kahalata hai. jo apane dharm ke palan mean tatpar rahate haian, unhian se abhisht manorath ki siddhi hoti dekhi jati hai. sara sansar usi mangalamay dharm ka anusaran karata hai.
jab pap ko roka nahian jata, tab jagat mean dharmik bartav ka uchchhed ho jata hai aur sab or mahan adharm phail jata hai, jisase praja ko din rat bhay bana rahata hai. tat! yadi pap ki pravriti ka nivaran n kiya jay to yah meri vastu hai, aisa kahana shreshth purushoan ke liye asambhav ho jata hai aur us samay koee bhi dharmik vyavastha tikane nahian pati hai. jab jagat mean pap ka bal badh jata hai, tab manushyoan ke liye apani stri, apane pashu aur apane khet ya ghar ka bhi kuchh thikana nahian dikhayi deta. jab pap ko roka nahian jata, tab devata pooja ko nahian janate hai, pitaroan ko svadha (shraddh) ka anubhav nahian hota hai tatha atithiyoan ki kahian pooja nahian hoti hai. jab pap ka nivaran nahian kiya jata hai, tab brahmacharyavrat ka palan karane vale dvij vedoan ka adhyayan chhod dete hai aur brahman yajnoan ka anushthan nahian kar pate hai. maharaj! jab pap ka nivaran nahian kiya jata hai, tab boodhean jantuoan ki bhaanti manushyoan ka man ghabarahat me pada rahata hai. lok aur paralok donoan ki drishti mean rakhakar maharshiyoan ne svayan hi raja namak ek mahan shaktishali manushy ki srishti ki. unhoanne socha tha ki yah sakshat dharmasvaroop hoga.

atah jisamean dharm viraj raha ho, usi ko raja kahate haian aur jisamean dharm (vrish) ka lay ho gaya ho, use devatalog vrishal manate hai. vrish nam hai bhagavan dharm ka. jo dharm ke vishay mean alam (bas) kah deta hai, use devata vrishal samajhate hai; atah dharm ki sada hi vriddhi karani chahiye. dharm ki vriddhi hone par sada samast praniyoan ka abhyuday hota hai aur usaka has hone par sabaka has ho jata hai; atah dharm ka kabhi lop nahian hone dena chahiye.
