shukadevaji ko naradaji ka vairagy aur jnan ka upadesh

bhishmaji kahate haian- yudhishthir! vyasaji ke chale jane ke bad us soone ashram mean svadhyay parayan shukadev se apana ichchhit vedoan ka arth kahane ke lie devarshi naradaji padhare. devarshi narad ko upasthit dekh shukadev ne vedakt vidhi se adhry adi nivedan karake unaka poojan kiya shukadevaji ko naradaji ka upadesh us samay naradaji ne prasann hokar kaha- ‘vats! tum dharmatmaoan mean shreshth ho. batao, tumhean kis shreshthavastu ki prapti karaooan ?’ yah bat unhoanne b de harsh ke sath kahi. bharatanandan! naradaji ki yah bat sunakar shukadev ne kaha- ‘is lok mean jo param kalyan ka sadhan ho, usi ka mujhe upadesh dene ki kripa karean’|

naradaji ne kaha- vats! poorvakal ki bat hai, pavitr anatahkaran vale rrishiyoan ne tattvajnan prapt karane ki ichchha se prashn kiya. usake uttar mean bhagavanh sanatkumar ne yah upadesh diya. vidya ke saman koee netr nahian hai. saty ke saman koee tap nahian hai. rag ke saman koee duahkh nahian hai aur tyag ke saman koee sukh nahian hai. pap karmoan se doooor rahana, sada punyakarmoan ka anushthan karana, shreshth purushoan ke se bartav aur sadachaar ka palan karana yahi sarvottam shrey (kalyan) kar sadhan hai. jahaan sukh ka nam bhi nahian hai, aise is manav-sharir ko pakar jo vishayoan mean asakt hota hai, vah moh ko prapt hota hai. vishayoan ka sanyog duahkh roop hi hai, atah duahkhoan se chhutakara nahian dila sakata. vishyasakt purush ki buddhi chanchal hoti hai. vah mohajal ko badhane vali hai, mohajal mean bandha hua purush is lok tatha paralok mean duahkh hi bhegata hai. jise kalyan prapti ki ichchha ho, use sabhi upayoan se kam aur krodh ko dabana chahiye; kyoanki ye donoan dosh kalyan ka nash karane ke liye udyat rahate haian. manushy ko chahiye ki vah sada tap ko krodh se, lakshmi ko dah se, vidya ko manapaman se aur apane ap ko pramad se bachave. kroor svabhav ka parityag sabase b da gharm hai. kshama sabase badatra bal hai. atma ka jnan hi sabase utkrisht jnan hai aur saty se badhakar to kuchh bhi nahian. saty bolana sabase shreshth hai; parantu saty se bhi shreshth hai hitakarak vachan bolana. jisase praniyoan ka atyant hit hota ho, vahi mere vichar se saty hai. jo kary arambh karane ke sabhi sankalpoan ko chho d chuka hai, jisake man mean koee kamana nahian hai? jo kisi vasatu ka sangrah nahian karata tatha jisane sab kuchh tyag diya hai, vahi vidvan hai au vahi pandit hai. jo apane vash mean ki huee indriyoan ke dvara yahaan anasakt bhav se vishayoan ka anubhav karata hai, jisaka chitt shant, nirvikar aur ekagr hai tatha jo atmasvaroop pratit hone vale deh aur indriyaan haian, unake sa rahakar bhi unase tadroop n ha alag-sa hi rahata hai, vah mukt hai aur use bahut shighr param kalyaran ki prapti hoti hai. mune! jisaki kisi prani ki or drishti nahian jati, jo kisi ka sparsh tatha kisi se batachit nahian karata, vah param kalyan ko prapt hota hai. kisi prani ki hiansa n kare. sabake prati mitrabhav rakhate hue vichare tatha yah manushy janm pakar kisi ke sath vair n kare. jo atmatattv ka jnata tatha man ko vash mean rakhane vala hai, uake liye yahi param kalyan ka sadhan bataya gaya hai ki vah kisi vastu ka sangrah n kare, santosh rakhe tatha kamana aur chanchalata ko tyag de. tat shukadev! tum sangrah ka tyag karake jitendriy ho jao taia us pad ko prapt karo, jo is lok aur paralok mean bhi nirbhay evan sarvatha shokarahit hai. jinhoanne bhogoan ka parityag kar diya hai, ve kabhi shok mean nahian p date, isaliye pratyek manushy ko bhogasakti ka tyag karana chahiye. saumy! bhogoan ka tyag kar dene par tum duahkh aur santap se chhoot jaoge.
