bharadvaj kanik ka saurashh‍tradesh ke raja ko kootaniti ka upadesh


yudhishthir ne poochha- bharatanandan! pitamah! sath‍yayug, treta aur dvapar- ye tinoan yug pray: samaph‍t ho rahe haian, isaliye jagat mean dharm ka kshay ho chala hai. dakoo aur lutere is dharm mean aur bhi badha dal rahe haian; aise samay mean kis tarah rahana chahiye? bhishh‍m ji ne kaha- bharatanandan! aise samay mean maian tumh‍hean apattikal ki vah niti bata raha hooan, jisake anusar bhoomipal ko daya ka parith‍yag karake bhi samayochit bartav karana chahiye. is vishay mean bharadvaj kanik tatha raja shatruanjay ke sanvadaroop ek prachin itihas ka udaharan diya jata hai.

sauvir desh mean shatruanjay nam se prasiddh ek maharathi raja the. unh‍hoanne bharadvaj kanik ke pas jakar apane kartavh‍y ka nishh‍chay karane ke liye unase is prakar prashh‍n kiya- ‘apraph‍t vash‍tu ki prapti kaise hoti hai? praph‍t dravh‍y ki vriddhi kis prakar ho sakati hai? badhe़ hue dravh‍y ki raksha kisase ki jati hai? aur us surakshit dravh‍y ka sadupayog kaise kiya jana chahiye ?’

raja shatruanjay ko shastr ka tath‍pary nishchitaroop se jnat tha. unh‍hoanne jab kartavh‍y-nishh‍chay ke liye prashh‍n upasthit kiya, tab brahman bharadvaj kanik ne yah yuktiyukh‍t uth‍tam vachan bolana aramh‍bh kiya- ‘raja ko sarvada danh‍d dene ke liye udyat rahana chahiye aur sada hi purusharth prakat karana chahiye. raja apane mean chhidr arthat durbalata n rahane de. shatrupaksh ke chhidr ya durbalata par sada hi drishti rakhe aur yadi shatruoan ki durbalata ka pata chal jay to un par akraman kar de. ‘jo sada danh‍d dene ke laye udyat rahata hai, usase prajajan bahut darate haian isaliye samash‍t praniyoan ko danh‍d ke dvara hi kaboo mean kare. ‘is prakar tattvadarshi vidvan danh‍d ki prashansa karate haian; at: sam, dan adi charoan upayoan mean danh‍d ko hi pradhan bataya jata hai. ‘yadi mool adhar nasht ho jay to usake ashray se jivan nirvah karane vale sabhi shatruoan ka jivan nasht ho jata hai. yadi vriksh ki j d kat di jay to usaki shakhaean kaise rah sakati haian? ‘vidvan purush pahale shatrupaksh ke mool ka hi uchh‍chhed kar dale.

tath‍pashh‍chat usake sahayakoan aur pakshapatiyoan ko bhi us mool ke path ka hi anusaran karave. ‘sankatakal upasthit hone par raja suandar mantrana, uth‍tam parakram evan uth‍sahapoorvak yuddh kare tatha avasar a jay to suandar dhang se palayan bhi kare. apatakal ke samay avashh‍yak karm hi karana chahiye, par soch-vichar nahian karana chahiye. ‘raja keval batachit mean hi ath‍yant vinayashil ho, hriday ko chhoore ke saman tikha banaye rakhe; pahale muskarakar mithe vachan bole tatha kam-krodh ko th‍yag de. ‘shatru ke sath kiye jane vale samajhaute adi kary mean sandhi karake bhi us par vishh‍vas n kare. apana kam bana lene par buddhiman purush shighr hi vahaan se hat jay. ‘shatru ko usaka mitr banakar mithe vachanoan se hi sanh‍th‍vana deta rahe; parantu jaise sarpayukh‍t grih se manushh‍y darata hai, usi prakar us shatru se bhi sada udvigh‍n rahe.
