janamejay ne poochha- brahman! poorvakal mean jab mere pitamah maharaj yudhishthir ka ashvamedh-yajn poorn ho gaya, tab unhhoanne dharm ke vishay mean sandeh hone par bhagavanh shrikrishn se kaun-sa prashhn kiya? vaishamhpayanaji ne kaha- rajanh! ashhvamedh-yajn ke bad jab dharmaraj yudhishhthir ne avabhrith-shnan kar liya, tab bhagavanh shrikrishhn ko pranam karake is prakar poochhana aramhbh kiya. us samay vasishth adi tattvadarshi tapashvi munigan tatha anhy bhakhtagan us param gopaniy uthtam vaishhnav-dharm ko sunane ki ichhchha se bhagavanh shrikrishhn ko gherakar baith gaye. yudhishhthir bole- 'bhakhtavathsal! maian sachhche bhakhti bhav se apake charanoan ki sharan mean aya hooan. bhagavanh! yadi ap mujhe apana premi ya bhakht samajhate haian aur yadi maian apake anugrah ka adhikari hoooan to mujhase vaishhnav-dharmoan ka varnan kijiye. maian unake samhpoorn rahashyoan ko yatharth roop se janana chahata hooan. maianne manu, vasishhth, kashyap, garg, gautam, gopalak, parashar, buddhimanh maitrey, uma, maheshhvar aur nanhdi dvara kahe hue pavitr dharmoan ka shravan kiya hai tatha jo brahma, kartikey, dhoomayan, kanhd, vaishhvanar, bhargav, yajnavalhkhy aur markandey ke dvara bhi kahe gaye haian evan jo bharadvaj aur brihaspati ke banaye hue haian tatha jo kuni, kunibahu, vishvamitr, sumantu, jaimini, shakuni, pulashthy, pulah, aghni, agasty, mudgal, shandily, shalabh, balakhilhyagan, saphtarshi, apastamb, shankh, likhit, prajapati, yam, mahenhdr, vhyaghr, vhyas aur vibhandak ke dvara kahe gaye haian, unako bhi maianne suna hai. evan jo narad, kapot, vidur, bhrigu, aangira, krauanch, mridang, soory harit, pishang, kapot, subalak,uddalak, shukrachary, vaishampayan tatha doosare-doosare mahathmaoan ke dvara bataye hue haian, un dharmoan ka bhi maianne adyopanht shravan kiya hai. paranhtu bhagavanh! mujhe vishhvas hai ki apake mukh se jo dharm prakat hue haian, ve pavitr aur pavan hone ke karan uparyukht sabhi dharmoan se shreshhth haian. isilaye keshav! achhyut! apaki sharan mean aye hue mujh bhakht se ap apane pavitr evan shreshhth dharmoan ka varnan kijiye.' vaishamhpayan ji kahate haian- rajan! dharmaputr yudhishhthir ke is prakar prashhn karane par samhpoorn dharmoan ko janane vale bhagavan shrikrishhn athyanht prasanhn hokar unase dharm ke sookshhm vishayoan ka varnan karane lage- ‘uttam vrat ka palan karane vale kunhtinanhdan! tum dharm ke liye itana udyog karate ho, isaliye tumhhean sansar mean koee vashtu durlabh nahian hai. rajendr! suna hua, dekha hua, kaha hua, palan kiya hua aur anumodan kiya hua dharm manushhy ko indr par pahuancha deta hai. parantap! dharm hi jiv ka mata-pita, rakshak, suhrid, bhrata, sakha aur shvami hai. arth, kam, bhog, sukh, uttam aishhvary aur sarvottam shvarg ki praphti bhi dharm se hi hoti hai. yadi is vishuddh dharm ka sevan kiya jay to vah mahan bhay se raksha karata hai. dharm se hi manushhy ko brahmanattv aur devathv ki praphti hoti hai. dharm hi manushhy ko pavitr karata hai. yudhishthir! jab kal-kram se manushhy ka pap nasht ho jata hai, tabhi usaki buddhi dharmacharan mean lagati hai.' |
