bhakti vyaktik paramatma ke sath vishvas aur prem ka sambandh hai. avyakt ki pooja (avyaktopasana) sadharan manav-praniyoan ke lie kathin hai, halaanki aise mahanh advaitiyoan ke anek udaharan vidyaman haian, jinhoanne avyaktik vastavikata (nirakar brahm) ko bahut sajiv bhavuk roop diya.[1] vyaktik paramatma ki pooja durbal aur nimn, ashikshit aur ajnani[2] sab logoan ke lie ek saralatar upay ke roop mean prastut ki gee hai. prem ki bali utani kathin nahian hai, jitana ki apani ichchhashakti ko bhagavanh ke prayojan ki or ya tapasyamay anushasan ki or ya chintan ke thaka dene vale prayatn ki or mo d pana.
bhakti-marg ka mool atyant puratan kal ki dhuandh mean chhipa hua hai. rrigved ki stutiyoan aur prarthanaoan, upanishadoan ki upasanaoan aur bhagavat dharm ki tivr dharmanishtha ka prabhav gita ke lekhak par p da hai. usane upanishadoan ke dharmik paksh se sambandh rakhane vali us vicharadhara ko vikati karane ka prayatn kiya hai, jise upanishadakar unmukt aur suspasht roop mean vyakt nahian kar pae the. bhagavanh aisa paramatma nahian hai, jo ki us samay bhi shantipoorn avyaktata mean shayan karata rahata ho, jabaki art hriday sahayata ke lie pukar rahe hoan, apitu ek premapoorn rakshak paramatma hai, jis par bhakt log isi roop mean vishvas karate haian aur anubhav karate haian. vah un logoan ko mukti pradan karata hai, jo usamean vishvas karate haian. vah ghoshana karata hai, “yah mera vachan hai ki jo mujhase prem karata hai, vah kabhi nasht nahian hoga.”[3]

    ek shlok mean, jo shankarachary ka likha bataya jata hai, kaha gaya haiah “chahe kisi ko manushy ka ya devata ka, ya paha di ya jangali pashu ka machchhar ka ya palatoo janavar ka, ya ki de ka ya pakshi ka, ya isi prakar ka koee aur janm bhi kyoan n mila ho, parantu yadi usaka hriday is janm mean sada tumhare charan-kamaloan ke chintan mean lin rahata hai, jo ki param anand ka pravah hai, to sharir kisaka hai, isaka kya mahattv hai?”

    naratvan devatvan nagavanamrigatv mashakata, pashutvan kitatvan bhavatu vihagatvadijanamh.
    dasa tvatpadabjasmaranaparamanandalahari, viharasaktan chedh hridayamih kian ten vapusha॥

    bhakti ka mahattv pratipadit karane ka yah kuchh atyuktipoorn-sa dhang hai.
