8.ayuah sattvabalarogyasukhapritivivardhanaah.
rasyaah snigdhaah sthira hridya aharaah sattvikapriyaah॥

jo bhojan jivan, pranashakti, bal, svasthy, anand, aur ullas ko badhate haian, jo madhur, chikanaee se yukt, poshak aur ruchikar hote haian ve sattvik logoan ko priy hote haian.

9.katvamlalavanatyushnatikshnarookshavidahinah.
ahara rajasasyeshta duahkhashokamayapradaah॥

jo bhojan tikhe, khatte, namakin, bahut garam, charapare, rookhe aur jalan utpann karane vale hote haian, to jo duahkh, shok aur rog utpann karane haian, ve rajasik logoan ko pasand hote haian.

10.yatayaman gatarasan pooti paryushitan ch yat.
uchchhishtamapi chamedhyan bhojanan tamasapriyamh॥

jo bhojan vig d gaya ho, besvad ho, s d gaya ho, basa ho, jootha ho aur ganda ho, vah tamasik logoan ko priy hota hai. kyoan ki sharir khae hue bhojan se hi banata hai, isalie bhojan ki kism ka bahut mahattv hai.[1]

11.aphalakadkshibhiryajno vidhidrishto y ijyate.
yashtavyameveti manah samadhay s sattvikah॥

jo yajn phal ki ichchha n rakhane vale logoan dvara, jinaka yah vishvas hota hai ki yajn karana unaka karttavy hai, shastriy niyamoan ke anusar kiya jata hai, vah sattvik kahalata hai. gita ka yajn vedoan ke samarohapoorn jaisa yajn nahian hai. yah to samany taur par balidan ka kary hai, jisake dvara manushy apani sampatti aur apane karyoan ko sabake andar vidyaman ek hi jivan ki seva ke lie samarpit kar deta hai. is prakar ki balidan ki bhavana vale log prasannatapoorvak mrityu tak ko bhi, chahe vah anyayapoorn hi kyoan n ho, svikar kar leange, jisase ki sansar unake balidan dvara unnati kar sake. savitri yam se kahati hai. ki achchhe log apane kasht-sahan aur balidan dvara sansar ko sanbhalate haian. santo bhoomi tapasa dharayanti.aphalakadkshibhi:: jo kisi phal ki asha nahian rakhate. ve sahi kam karate jate haian, parantu usake parinamoan ke prati nirapeksh rahate haian. kisi bhi sukarat ya gaandhi ko keval is bat ka dhyan rahata hai ki vah thik kam kar raha hai ya galat kam; vah bhale adami ka abhinay kar raha hai ya bure adami ka; aur is bat ka dhyan nahian rahata ki vah jivit rah sakega ya use marana p dega.

12.abhisandhay tu phalan dambharthamapi chaiv yath.
ijyate bharatashreshth tan yajnan viddhi rajasamh॥

parantu he bharatoan mean shreshth (arjun), jo yajn kisi phal ki asha se ya pradarshan ke lie kiya jata hai, too samajh le ki rajasik hai.

13.vidhihinamasrashtannan mantrahinamadakshinamh.
shraddhavirahitan yajnan tamasan parichakshate॥

jo yajn niyam ke anusar nahian hai, jisamean koee ann nahian baanta gaya, jisamean mantr nahian padhe ge aur jisamean dakshina (purahit ka shulk) nahian di gee, jo shraddha se rahit hai, use log tamasik kahate haian.ann ka vitaran aur shulk ka dena doosaroan ki sahayata karane ke pratik haian, jinake bina sara karm svarthapoorn hoga.

14.devadvijaguruprajnapoojanan shauchamarjavamh.
brahmacharyamahiansa ch shariran tap uchchate॥

devataoan ki, brahmanoan ki, guruoan ki aur vidvanoan ki pooja, pavitrata, eemanadari, brahmachary aur ahiansa, yah sharir ka tap kahalata hai.
