14.prashantatma vigatabhibrahmacharivrate sthitah .
manah sanyamy machchitto yukt asit matparah॥

prashant man vala aur nirbhay, brahmachary-vrat ka palan karata hua vah apane man ko meri or mo dakar aur keval mujhamean dhyan lagakar sanyat hokar baith jae. brahmacharivrate sthit:  : brahmachary ke vrat mean dridh. yog ke sadhak ko yaun manovegoan par niyantran rakhana chahie. hindoo-parampara shuroo se hi brahmachary par bahut jor deti aee hai. prashnopanishadh mean pippalad jijnasuoan se ek varsh tak aur brahmachary-vrat ka palan karane ko kahata hai, jisake bad vah unhean uchchatam jnan mean dikshit karane ka vachan deta hai. chhandogy upanishadh mean brahma ne indr ko brahm ka jnan usase ek sau ek varsh tak brahmachary ka palan karavane ke bad diya tha. brahmachary ki paribhasha karate hue kaha gaya hai ki yah man, vani aur karm dvara sab dashaoan, sab sthanoan aur sab kaloan mean maithunoan ka parityag hai.[1] kaha jata hai ki devataoan ne brahmachary aur tap ke dvara mrityu ko jit liya tha.[2]jnanasankalini tantr mean shiv kahata hai ki sachcha tap brahmachary hai aur jo nirantar isaka palan karata hai, vah manushy nahian, devata hai.[3] brahmachary ka abhipray tapasviyoan ka-sa avivahit jivan nahian, apitu isaka abhipray sanyam hai. hindoo-parampara mean yah jor dekar kaha gaya hai ki jo grihasth apane yaun jivan ko niyantrit rakhata hai, vah utana hi sachcha brahmachari hai, jitana ki vah, jo yaun-sambandh se sada door rahata hai.[4]brahmachari rahane ka arth indriyoan ko nirjiv kar dena aur hriday ki maang ko asvikar kar dena nahian hai.
