vachaspati mishr ka kathan hai- “pratipitsitan tvarth pratipadayanpratipadayitavadheyavachano bhavati. apratipitsitantu pratipadayannayan laukiko napi parikshak ityunmattavadupekshyah syath.” kintu vastutah arthavad ka ashastratv mana nahian gaya, kyoanki ‘svadhyayoadhyetavyah’ is vidhi se svadhyayapadavachy samast vedarashi ka (achary-parampara se) adhyayan karane ka vidhan kiya gaya hai. samast vedarashi ke antargat to arthavad bhi hai hi aur guru paramparapoorvak vedadhyayan ka ‘ghritakulya payahkulyadi’ ki praptiroop adrisht phal bhi batalaya gaya hai. isake siva shraut sootrakar karakachary ji bhi kahate haian ki ‘vede matramatrasyapyanarthakyan n vaktuan shakyamh’ arthath ved mean ek matra ki vyarthata nahian batalayi ja sakati. atah mimaansak ko arthavad ki sarthakata avashy batalani chahiye. mimaansak kah sakata hai ki vidhi ke sath ekavakyatapann hokar vidhivihit arth ki stuti karane mean arthavad ka upayog hota hai; isi tarah ye sarthak ho sakate haian. kintu vedadhyayan se ghritakulya, payahkulya adi adrisht phal ki kalpana karane ki kya avashyakata hai? isase to vedarth jnanaroop drisht phal hi prapt ho jata hai; aur drisht phal ke rahate hue adrisht phal ki kalpana karana vyarth hai. is par shanka hoti hai ki yadi aisi bat hai to vedarth-jnan svatantrata se svayan vedadhyayan kar lene se hi ho sakata hai; usake liye ‘svadhyayoadhyetavyah’ is vaky se achary paramparapoorvak adhyayan karane ki hi vidhi kyoan ki gayi hai? uttar mean kaha ja sakata hai ki guru paramparapoorvak adhyayan karane se ved sanskrit hota hai aur sanskrit ved hi yajn-yagadi mean upayogi hai. isaliye yah vidhi sarthak hai. vedadhyayan se vedarth jnan ki nishpatti to anvay-vyatirek se svatah siddh hai. jis prakar bhojan karane vale purush ko tripti ho hi jati hai usi prakar jo koee vedadhyayan karega use vedarth jnan hoga hi. isamean vidhi ki avashyakata nahian hai. vidhi ki sarthakata aprapt vishay ka pratipadan karane mean hi hoti hai. jis prakar tandul nishpatti nakhavidalan se bhi ho sakati hai aur musalavahanan se bhi. kintu yagadi mean musalavahanan hi karana chahiye; isiliye ‘vrihinavahanti’ yah vidhi ki gayi hai. isaka phal adrisht hota hai. |
