at: ab maian gitarth spasht karane ke liye pravritt hota hooan. shodash adhyay ke antim shlok mean shrikrishnadev ne is siddhant ka nirnay kiya hai ki he parth! jis samay yah nishchay karane ki avashyakata ho ki karaniy aur akaraniy kam kaun-sa hai, tab tum keval shastroan ko hi praman mano. is par arjun ke man mean yah prashn utha ki aisa kyoan hai ki bina shastroan ki sahayata ke karm ka nirnay hi n ho? takshak ke phan par pair rakhakar usaki mani kaise prapt ki jay aur sianh ki nasika ke bal kaise ukha de jayan? aur tab yah kaha jata hai ki takshak ki vahi mani sianh ki nasika vale bal mean gooanthakar tatha usaki kanthi banakar gale mean dharan ki jay. par yadi manushy aisa n kar sake to kya vah apana gala yoan hi nanga rakhe?

thik vaise hi matabhed ka jhamela kh da karane vale bhinn-bhinn shastroan ki gathari bhala kaise aur kaun baandhe? aur phir unaki ekavakyata vala phal hi kaise prapt kiya ja sakata haiॽ yadi yah bhi man liya jay ki kisi prakar bhinn-bhinn shastroan ka talamel baithakar kisi kary ke vishay mean koee nirnay kar bhi liya, to bhi usake acharan ke liye yathesht samay bhi kisi ke pas hai? is jiv ko itana adhik prasar bhala kaise achchha lagega? aur phir sab log is prakar ka upay bhala kaise kar sakate haian, jisase shastr, arth, desh tatha kal-sabaka ek hi kary mean uchit yog ho sake? vahi karan hai ki is shastrokt prakaran ka sadhan prayah kathin hi hai. phir un logoan ke liye kaun-sa marg khula rahata hai, jo log ajnani hoan, par sath hi moksh ke abhilashi bhi hoan? bas, yahi prashn arjun ke man mean uth raha hai aur isi ka vivechan is satrahavean adhyay mean kiya gaya hai. jo samast vishayoan se virakt hai, jo sampoorn kalaoan mean nipun hai, jo svayan krishn ke liye bhi arjun ke roop mean doosara krishn (akarshan karane vala) hi hai, jo shaury ka adhishthan hai, jo somavansh ka shrriangar hai, sukh ityadi ka upabhog jisake liye sirph kri da hai, jo prajna ka priyottam hai tatha brahmavidya vishram sthal hai, jo shrikrishn ke sannikat rahane vala mano manodharm hi hai.[1]
