he arjun! vastavik dhanyata to meri sachchi bhakti mean hi nihit hai. phir vah bhakti chahe jaise bhi ho, ek bar jab us bhakti se samprikt man mujhamean sama jata hai, tab usase poorv ke samast karm poornataya mit jate haian. chhote-chhote nale ityadi tabhi tak nale kahalate haian, jab tak ve ganga nadi mean pravisht nahian ho jate; par ek bar ganga mean pravisht ho jane par jis prakar ve ganga ka roop hi ho jate haian athava jis prakar kashth ke chandan, khair ityadi varg tabhi tak rahate haian, jab tak ve agni mean p dakar usake sath ekakar nahian ho jate, usi prakar jab tak koee mere svaroop ke sath milakar samaras nahian ho jata, tabhi tak vah kshatriy, vaishy, stri, shoodr, antyaj ityadi ke roop mean bhasaman hota hai. par jaise samudr mean dala hua lavan-kan usi mean vilin ho jata hai. vaise hi mere sath milate hi jati-bhed vale bhas ka namo-nishan mit jata hai. bhinn-bhinn nadoan aur nadiyoan ka nam tabhi tak hai, jab tak ve jakar samudr mean mil nahian jatian aur tabhi tak unake vishay mean yah bhed bhi kiya ja sakata hai ki amuk nadi ka pravah poorv ki or hai aur amuk ka pashchim ki or. isaliye jis kisi bhi bahane se chitt ka pravesh ek bar bhi mere svaroop mean ho jay, to phir vah vyakti svatah madroop ho jata hai. chahe paras ko to dane ka hi uddeshy kyoan n ho, par ek bar lohe ka paras ke sath sparsh ho jana chahiye; bas phir kam ho jata hai‚ kyoanki paras ka sparsh hote hi vah loha bhi sona ho jayaga.

he arjun! jis samay prem ke nimitt vrajaanganaoan ka antahkaran mere rang mean ranga gaya, us samay ve sadyah madroop ho gayian athava nahian? isi prakar bhayagrast hone ke karan kans, shatruta ke nimitt se shishupal ityadi shatru, sagotr evan sambandhi hone ke karan yadav aur mamata rakhane ke karan vasudev ityadi kya mere sath milakar ekaroopata nahian prapt kar chuke haian? jaise narad, dhruv, akroor, shuk aur sanatkumar ityadi ke liye maian bhakti ke gun se sath ho gaya, vaise hi, he parth! maian vishay-buddhi se gopiyoan ko, bhay se kans ko aur shishupal ityadi any anek logoan ko unaki dushpravrittiyoan ke karan hi prapt ho gaya. maian sabaka antim dhyey hooan, phir chahe log mere sannikat bhakti-bhav se, chahe vishay buddhi se, chahe shutruta se aur chahe kisi bhi manovritti se hi kyoan n avean. isiliye he parth! mere svaroop mean milane ke liye is sansar mean sadhanoan ki kami nahian hai. vyakti ka janm chahe jis jati mean hua ho aur vah chahe meri bhakti kare athava virodh, par use hona chahiye mera hi bhakt athava mera hi shatru; bas, yahi pramukh bat hai. chahe kisi bahane vyakti ko merapan mil jay, use bhali-bhaanti jan lena chahiye ki mera svaroop usake hath lag gaya. isiliye, he arjun! chahe papayodi ho aur chahe vaishy-shoodr ho athava stri, sab-ke-sab meri upasana se hi mere paramadham pahuanchate haian.[1]
