mayaviyoan ke sath jo mayavi nahian banate, ve nashh‍t ho jate haian’’[1]. paranh‍tu yahaan ek bat par aur dhh‍yan dena chahiye ki dushh‍t purush ka pratikar yadi sadhuta se ho sakata ho, to pahale sadhuta se hi kare. kh‍yoanki doosara yadi dushh‍t ho to usi ke sath hamean bhi dushh‍t n ho jana chahiye-yadi koee ek nakata ho jay to sara gaanv ka gaanv apani nak nahian kata leta! aur kh‍ya kahean, yah dharm hai bhi nahian. is ‘’n pape pratipap: sh‍yath’’ sootr ka thik bhavarth yahi hai; aur isi karan se viduraniti mean dhritarashtr ki pahale yahi nititath‍v batalaya gaya hai ki ‘’n tath‍parash‍y sandadhh‍yath pratikoolan yadath‍man:-‘’jaisa vh‍yavahar sh‍vayan apane liye pratikool maloom ho, vaisa bartav doosaroan ke sath n karean. isake pashh‍chat hi vidur ne kaha hai-

akrodhen jayeth‍krodhan asadhu sadhuna jayeth.
jayeth‍kadarye danen jayeth sath‍yen chanritamh..

‘’( doosare ke ) krodh ko (apani ) shanti se jitean, dushh‍t ko sadhuta se jitean, kripan ko dan se jitean aur anrit ko sath‍y se jitean’’[2]. pali bhasha mean bauddhauan ka jo dhamh‍mapad namak nitigranh‍th hai, usamean ( 233 ) isi shh‍lok ka hoobahoo anuvad hai-

akrodhen jine krodhan asadhuan sadhuna jine.
jine kadariy danen sachchenalikavadinamh..

shanti parv mean yudhishthir ko upadesh karate hue bhishh‍m ne bhi isi niti tath‍v ke gaurav ka varnan is prakar kiya hai–

karm chaitadasadhoonaan asadhuan sadhuna jayeth.
dharmen nidhanan shreyo n jay: papakarmana..

‘’dushh‍t ki asadhuta, arthath dushh‍t karm, ka sadhuta se nivaran karana chahiye; kh‍yoanki pap karm se jit lene ki apeksha dharm se arthath niti se mar jana bhi shreyash‍kar hai’’[3]. kinh‍tu aisi sadhuta se yadi dushh‍t ke dushh‍karmoan ka nivaran n hota ho, athava sam-upachar aur mel-jol ki bat dushh‍toan ko n pasanh‍d ho to, jo kaanta pultis se bahar n nikalata ho, kanatakenaiv kanatakamh’’ ke nh‍yay se sadharan kaante se, athava lohe ke kaante-suee-se bahar nikal dalana avashh‍yak hai[4]. kh‍yoanki, prath‍yek samay, lokasangrah ke liye dushh‍toan ka nigrah karana, bhagavan ke saman, dharm ki drishti se sadhu purushoan ka bhi pahala karth‍tavh‍y hai. ‘’sadhuta se dushh‍tata ko jitai ‘’ is vakh‍y mean bhi pahale yahi bat mani gee hai ki dushh‍tata ko jit lena athava usaka nivaran karana sadhu purush ka pahala karth‍tavh‍y hai, phir usaki siddhi ke liye batalaya hai ki pahale kis upay ki yojana kare. yadi sadhuta se usaka nivaran n ho sakata ho–sidhi aanguli se ghi n nikale-to ‘’jaise ko taisa‘’ van kar dushh‍tata ka nivaran karane se hamean, hamare dharmagranh‍thakar kabhi bhi nahian rokate; ve yah kahian bhi pratipadan nahian karate ki dushh‍tata ke age sadhu purush apana balidan khushi se kiya karean.
