prath‍yakhh‍yane ch dane ch sukhadu:khe priyapriye.
ath‍maupamh‍yen purush: pramanamadhig‍chh‍chhati..
yathapar: prakamate pareshu tatha pare prakramanh‍teaparasminh.
tathaiv teshoopama jivaloke yatha dharmo nipunenopadishh‍t :..

‘’sukh ya du:kh priy ya apriy, dan athava nishedh-in sab batoan ka anuman doosaroan ke vishay mean vaisa hi karean, jaisa ki apane vishay mean jan p de. doosaroan ke sath manushh‍y jaisa bartav karata hai, doosare bhi usake sath vaisa hi vh‍yavahar karate haian atev yahi upama lekar is jagath mean ath‍maupamh‍y ki drishti se bartav karane ko sayane logoan ne dharm kaha hai‘’[1]. yah ‘’ n tath‍parash‍y sandashh‍yath pratikoolan yadath‍man: ‘’ shh‍lok viduraniti[2] mean bhi hai; aur age shanti parv[3] mean vidur ne phir yahi tattv yudhishthir ko batalaya hai. paranh‍tu ath‍maupamh‍y niyam ka yah ek bhag hua ki doosaroan ko du:kh n do, kh‍yoanki jo tumh‍hean dukhadayi hai vahi aur logoan ko bhi du:khadayi hota hai ab is par kadachit kisi ko yah dirghashanka ho ki, isase yah nishh‍chayath‍mak anuman kahaan nikalata hai ki tumh‍hean jo sukhadayak janche, vahi auroan ko bhi sukhadayak hai aur isaliye aise dhang ka bartav karo jo auroan ko bhi sukhadayak ho? is shanka ke nirasanarth bhishh‍m ne yudhishthir ko dharm ke lakshan batalate samay isase bhi adhik khulasa karake is niyam ke danoan margoan ka sh‍pashh‍t ulh‍lekh kar diya hai –

yadanh‍yairvihitan nechh‍chhedath‍man: karm poorush:.
n tath‍pareshu karvit janannapriyamath‍man:..
jivitan y: sh‍vayan chechh‍chhetkarth soanh‍yan praghatayeth.
yadyadath‍mani chechh‍chhet tath‍parash‍yapi chinh‍tayeth..

arthath ‘’ham doosaroan se apane sath jaise bartav ka kiya jana pasanh‍d karate-yani apani pasanh‍d ko samajh kar-vaisa bartav hamean bhi doosaroan ke sath n karana chahiye. jo sh‍vayan jivit rahane ki ichh‍chha rakhata hai, vah doosaroan ko kaise marega? aisi ichh‍chha rakhe ki jo ham chahate haian, vahi aur log bhi chahate haian’’[4]. aur doosare sh‍than par isi niyam ko batalane mean in ‘anukool’ athava ‘pratikool’ visheshanoan ka prayog n karake, kisi bhi prakar ke acharan ke vishay mean samanh‍yat: vidur ne kaha– tash‍maddharmapradhanen bhavitavh‍yan yatath‍mana. tatha ch sarvabhooteshu vartitavh‍yan yathath‍mani.. ‘’indriyanigrah karake dharm se bartana chahiye; aur apane saman hi sab praniyoan se bartav kare’’[5]. kh‍yoanki shukanuprashh‍n mean vh‍yas kahate haian–

yavanath‍mani vedath‍ma tavanath‍ma parath‍mani.
y evan satatan ved soamritath‍vay kalh‍pate..

‘’jo sadaiv yah janata hai ki hamare sharir mean jitana ath‍ma hai utana hi doosare ke sharir mean bhi hai. vahi amritath‍v arthath moksh praph‍t kar lene mean samarth hota hai ‘’[6].
