kuchh log is[1]shh‍lok mean buddhi ka arth jnan samajhakar kahate haian ki karm aur jnan donoan mean se, yahaan jnan ki hi shreshh‍thata di hai. par hamare mat mean yah arth bhool se khali nahian hai is sh‍thal par shaankarabhashh‍y mean bhi buddhiyog ka arth ‘samath‍v buddhiyog’ diya hua hai, aur yah shh‍lok karmayog ke prakaran mean aya hai. atev vash‍tav mean isaka arth karmapradhan karana chahiye aur vahi saral riti se lagata bhi hai. karm karane vale log do prakar ke hote haian; ek phal par-udaharanarth, usase kitane logoan ko kitana sukh hoga, is par-drishti jama kar karm karate haian; doosare buddhi ko sam aur nishh‍kam rakh kar karm karate haian, phir karm-dharm sanyog se usase jo parinam hona ho so hua kare. inamean se ‘ phalahetav: ’ arthath ‘’phal par dashti jama kar karm karane vale’’ logoan ko naitik drishti se kripan arthath kanishh‍th shreni ke batala kar samabuddhi se karm karanevaloan ko is shh‍lok mean shreshh‍thata di hai. is shh‍lok ke pahale charanoan mean jo yah kaha hai ki ‘dooren hyavaran karmabuddhiyogaddhananjay’-he dhananjay! samath‍v-buddhiyog ki apeksha kora karm ath‍yanh‍t nikrishh‍t hai-isaka tath‍pary yahi hai; aur jab arjun ne yah prashh‍n kiya ki ‘’bhishh‍m-dron ko maian kaise marooan?’’ tab usako uth‍tar bhi yahi diya gaya.

isaka bhavarth yah hai ki marane ya marane ki niri kriya ki hi or dhh‍yan n de kar dekhana chahiye ki ‘manushh‍y kis buddhi se us karm ko karata hai; ‘ atev is shlok ke tisare charan mean upadesh hai ki ‘’too buddhi arthath samabuddhi ki sharan ja‘’ aur age upasanharath‍mak atharahavean adhh‍yay mean bhi bhagavanh ne phir kaha hai ki ‘’buddhiyog ka ashray karake too apane karm kar.‘’ gita ke doosare adhh‍yay ke ek aur shh‍lok se vh‍yakh‍t hota hai ki, gita nire karm ke vichar ko kanishh‍th samajhakar us kary ki prerak buddhi ke hi vichar ko shreshh‍th manati hai. atharahavean adhh‍yay mean kamr ke bhale-bure arthath sattvik, rajas aur tamas, bhed batalaye gaye haian. yadi nire karmaphal ki or hi gita ka lakshh‍y hota, to bhagavan ne yah kaha hota ki jo karm bahuteroan ko sukhadayak ho, vahi sattvik hai. paranh‍tu aisa n batala kar atharahavean adhh‍yay mean kaha hai ki ‘’phalasha chhod kar nish‍sang buddhi se kiya hua karm sattvik athava uth‍tam hai’’[2]. arthath isase pragat hota hai ki karm ke bahy phal ki apeksha karth‍ta ki nishh‍kam, sam aur nish‍sang buddhi ko hi karm-akarm ka vivechan karane mean gita adhik mahath‍v deti hai.
