isaliye isamean koee ashhchary nahian, ki isaka upashy dev bhi shrikrishhn ya vishhnu hai; parantu ‘shmart’ shabhd ka dhathvarth ‘shmrithyukht’-keval itana hi-honeke karan yah nahian kaha ja sakata ki shmart-dharm ka upashy shiv hi hona chahiye. khyoanki manu adi prachin dharmagranhthoan me yah niyam kahian nahi hai, ki ek shiv ki hi upasana karani chahiye. isaki viparit, vishhnu ka hi varnan adhik paya jata hai aur kuchh shthaloan par to ganapati prabhriti ko bhi upashy batalaya hai. isake siva shiv aur vishhnu donoan devata vaidik haian arthath ved mean hi inaka varnan kiya gaya hai, isaliye inamean se ek ko hi shmriti kahana thik nahian hai. shrishankarachary smartt mat ke purashkarta kahe jate hai; par shaankar math mean upashy devata sharada hai aur shankar bhashhy mean jahaan jahaan pratima-poojan ka prasang chhi da hai; vahaan vahaan achary ne shivaliang ka nirdesh n kar shalagram arthath vishhnu-pratima ka hi ulhlekh kiya hai[1]. isi prakar kaha jata hai, ki panchadev-pooja ka prachar bhi pahale shankarachary ne hi kiya tha. in sab batoan ka vicharakarane se yahi siddh hota hai ki pahale pahal shmriart aur bhagavat panhthoan mean ‘shivabhakti’ ya ‘vishhnubhakti’ jaise upashy me do ke koee jhag de nahi the; kinhtu jinaki drishti se shmriti-granhthoan mean shpashht riti se varnit ashram-vhyavashtha ke anusar tarun avashtha mean yathashashtr sansar ke sab kary karake, budhape mean ekaek karm chho d chaturthashram ya sannyas lena antim sadhhy tha ve hi shmriti kahalate the aur jo log bhagavanh ke upadeshanusar yah samajhate the ki jnan evan ujhjval bhagavadabhakti ke sath hi maran paryanat grihashthashram ke hi kary nishhkam buddhi se karate rahana chahiye unhhean bhagavat kahate the. in donoan shabhdoan ke mool arth yahi haian; aur, isi se ye donoan shabhd, saankhhy aur yog athava sanhyaans aur karmayog ke kramash: samanarthak hote haian. bhagavan ke avatarakrithy se kaho, ya jnanayukht garhashthhy-dharm ke mahathv par dhhyan dekar kaho, sannhyas-ashram lupht ho gaya tha; aur kali varjhy prakaran mean shamil kar diya gaya tha; arthath kaliyug mean jin batoan ko shashtr ne nishiddh mana hai unamean sannhyas ki ginati ki gee thi[2]. phir jain aur bauddh dharm ke pravartakoan ne kapil sankhhy ke mat ko shvikar kar is mat ka vishesh prachar kiya ki, sansar ka thyag kar sannhyas ke liye bina moksh nahian milata. itihas mean prasiddh hai, ki buddh ne shvayan tarun avashtha mean hi raj-pat shtri aur bal bachhchoan ko chho dakar sannhyas diksha le li thi. |
