aj kal hamean in vicharoan ka kuchh mahath‍v maloom nahian hota kh‍yoanki yajn-yag roopi shraut-dharm ab prachalit nahian hai. paranh‍tu gitakal ki sthiti bhinh‍n thi jisake karan bhagavadgita[1] mean is yajnachakr ka mahath‍v oopar kahe anusar batalaya gaya hai. t‍thapi gita se yah sh‍pashh‍t maloom hota hai ki us samay bhi upanishadoan mean pratipadit jnan ke karan moksh-srishti se in karmoan ka gaunata a chuki thi[2]. yahi gaunata ahiansa dharm ka prachar hone par age adhikadhik badhati gee. bhagavatadharm mean sh‍pashh‍tataya pratipadan kiya gaya hai ki yajn-yag vedavihit hai to bhi unake liye pashuvadh nahi karana chahiye, dhanh‍y se hi yajn karana chahiye[3]. is karan (tatha kuchh aanshoan mean age jainiyoan ke bhi aise hi prayath‍n karane ke karan) shraut yajnamarg ki aj kal yah dasha ho gee hai, ki kashi sarikhe b de b de dharm-kshetroan mean bhi shrautagnihotr palan karane vale agnihotri bahut hi tho de dekh p date haian, aur jh‍yotishh‍tom adi pashu-yajnoan ka hona to das bis varshoan mean kabhi kabhi sun p data hai. tathapi shrautadharm hi sab vaidik dharmoan ka mool hai jisake karan usake vishay mean is samay bhi kuchh adar‍buddhi paee jati hai aur jaimini ke sootr arth-nirnayakashash‍tr ke nate praman man jate haian.

yadyapi shraut yajn-yag adi dharm is prakar shithil ho gaya, to bhi manh‍vadi sh‍mritiyoan mean varnit doosare yajn–jinh‍hean pachh‍chamahayajn kahate haian–ab tak prachalit hai aur inake samh‍banh‍dh mean bhi shrautayajn-yagachakr adi ke hi ukh‍t nh‍yay ka upayog hota hai. udaharanarth, manu adi sh‍mritikaroan ne paanch ahiansath‍mak tatha nith‍y grihayajn batalaye hai; jaise vedadhh‍yayan brahmayajn hai, tarpana pitriyajn hai, hom devayajn, bali bhootayajn hai aur atithi-santarpana manushh‍yayajn hai; tatha garhash‍thh‍y-dharm ke vishay mean yah bhi kaha hai ki in paanch yajnoan ke dvara kramanusar rrishiyoan, pitaroan, devataoan, praniyoan tatha manushh‍yoan ko pahale triph‍t karake phir kisi grihash‍th ko sh‍vayan bhojan karana chahiye[4]. in yajnoan ke kar lene par jo anh‍n bach jata hai usako “amrit’’kahate haian; aur pahale sab manushh‍yoan ke bhojan kar lene par jo anh‍n bache use ‘vighas’ kahate hai[5]! yah ‘amrit’ aur ‘vighas’ anh‍n hi grihash‍th ke liye vihit evan shreyash‍kar hai. aisa n karake koee sirph apane pet ke liye hi bhojan paka kar kha jave, to vah agh arthat pap ka bhakshan karata hai aur vah kya manush‍mriti, kh‍ya rrigh‍ved aur gita, sabhi grannh‍tho mean ‘aghashi’ kaha gaya hai [6]. in sh‍mart panch mahayajnoan ke siva dan, sath‍y, daya, ahiansa, adi sarvabhoot-hitaprad anh‍y dharm bhi upanishadoan tatha sh‍mritigranh‍thoan mean grihash‍th ke liye vihit mane gaye haian[7] aur unh‍hian mean sh‍pashh‍t khulasa kiya gaya hai ki kutumh‍b ki vriddhi karake vansh ko sthir rakho–“prajatantuan ma vh‍yavachh‍chhesh‍si:”.
