brihadaranayakopanishad mean kaha hai ki, -‘‘jis prakar joank (jalayuka) ghas ke tinake ke ek chhor tak pahuanchane par doosare tinake par samane ke pairoan se apane sharir ka agrabhag rakhati hai aur phir pahale tinake par se apane sharir ke aantim bhag ko khianch leti hai, usi prakar atma ek sharir chho d kar doosare sharir mean jata hai’’[1]. parantu keval is drishtant se ye donoan anuman siddh nahian hote ki, nira atma hi doosare sharir mean jata hai, aur vah bhi ek sharir se chhootate hi chala jata hai. kyoanki brihadaranyakopanishad [2] mean age chal kar yah varnan kiya gaya hai ki, atma ke sath sath paanch sookshm bhoot,man,indriyaan, pran aur dharmadharm bhi sharir se bahar nikal jate haian; aur yah bhi kaha hai ki, atma ko apane karm ke anusar bhinn-bhinh‍n lok prapt hote haian evan vahaan use kuchh kal paryant nivas karana p data hai [3]. isi prakar, chhandogyopanishad mean bhi ap ( pani ) moolatattv ke sath jiv ki jis gati ka varnan kiya gaya hai [4] usase, aur vedantasootroan mean usake arth ka jo nirnay kiya gaya hai[5] usase, yah spasht ho jata hai ki, liangasharir mean-pani, tej aur ann- in tinoan moolatattvoan ka samavesh kiya jana chhaandogyoanpanishad ko bhi abhipret hai.

saraansh yahi dekh p data hai ki, mahadadi atharah sookshm tattvoan se bane hue saankhyoan ke ‘liang-sharir’ mean hi pran aur dharmadharm arthath karm ko bhi shamil kar dene se vedant-matanusar liang-sharir ho jata hai. parantu, saankhyashastr ke anusar pran ka samavesh gyarah indriyoan ki vrittiyoan mean hi, aur dharm-adharm ka samavesh buddhiindriyoan ke vyapar mean hi, hua karata hai; atev ukt bhed ke vishay mean yah kaha ja sakata hai ki vah keval shabdik hai-vastutah liang-sharir ke ghatakavayav ke sanbandh mean vedant aur saankhy-matoan mean kuchh bhi bhed nahian hai. isiliye maitryupanishad[6]mean, ‘‘mahadadi sookshmaparyant” yah saankhyokt liang-sharir ka lakshan, ‘‘mahadadyavisheshaantan” is paryay se jyoan ka tyoan rakh diya hai [7]. bhagavadgita[8] mean, pahale yah batala kar ki ‘‘manah shashthanindriyani”- man aur paanch jnanendriyaan ka hi sookshm sharir hota hai-, age aisa varnan kiya hai ki ‘‘vayurgandhanivashayath” [9]-jis prakar hava phooloan ki sugangh ko har leti hai usi prakar jiv, sthool sharir ka tyag karate samay, is liang-sharir ko apane sath le jata hai. tathapi, gita mean jo adhyatm-jnan hai vah upanishadoan hi mean se liya gaya hai isaliye kaha ja sakata hai ki, ‘man sahit chhah indriyaan’ in shabdoan mean paanch karmendriyaan, panchatanmatraean, pran aur pap-puny ka sangrah hi bhagavan ko abhipret hai.
