jo kuchh hota jata hai vah sab prakriti hi ka khel hai. yahaan tak ki man aur buddhi bhi prakriti ke hi vikar haian, isaliye buddhi ko jo jnan hota hai, vah bhi prakriti ke karyoan ka hi phal hai. yah jnan tin prakar ka hota hai; jaise sattvik, rajas, aur tamas[1]. jab buddhi ko sattvik jnan prapt hota hai tab purush ko yah maloom hone lagata hai ki maian prakriti se bhinn hooan. sattv-raj-tamo-gun prakriti ke hi dharm haian, purush ke nahian. purush nirgun hai aur trigunatmak prakriti usaka darpan hai[2]. jab yah darpan svachchh ya nirmal ho jata hai, arthat jab apani yah buddhi, jo prakriti ka vikar hai, sattvik ho jati hai tab is nirmal darpan mean purush ko apana vastavik svaroop dikhane lagata hai aur use yah bodh ho jata hai ki maian prakriti se bhinn hooan. us samay yah prakriti lajjit ho kar purush ke samane nachana, khelana ya jal phailana band kar deti hai. jab yah avastha prapt ho jati hai tab purush sab pashoan ya jaloan se mukt ho kar apane svabhavik kaivaly pad ko pahuanch jata hai. ‘kaivaly’ shabd ka arth kevalata, akelapan, ya prakriti ke sath sanyog n hona. purush ki is naisargik ya svabhavik sthiti ko hi saankhyashastr mean moksh(mukti ya chhutakara) kahate haian.

is avastha ke vishay mean saankhy-vadiyoan ne ek bahut hi najuk prashn ka vichar upasthit kiya hai. unaka prashn hai ki purush prakriti ko chho d deta hai ya prakriti purush ko chho d deti hai? kuchh logoan ki samajh mean yah prashn vaisa hi nirarthak pratit hoga jaise yah prashn ki, dulhe ke liye dulahin ooanchi hai ya dulahin ke liye dulh‍ha thiangana hai. kyoanki, jab do vastuoan ka ek doosare se viyog hota hai tab ham dekhate haian ki donoan ek doosare ko chho d deti haian, isaliye aise prashn ka vichar karane se kuchh labh nahian hai, ki kisane kisako chho d diya parantu, kuchh adhik sochane par maloom ho jayega ki saankhy-vadiyoan ka ukt prashn, unaki drishti se, ayogy nahian hai. saankhyashastr ke anusar ‘purush’ nirgun, akarta aur udasin hai, isaliye tattv-drishti se ‘‘chho dana’’ ya ‘‘pak dana’’ kriyaoan ka karta purush nahian ho sakata [3]. isaliye saankhy-vadi kahate haian, ki prakriti hi ‘purush’ ko chho d diya karati hai, arthat vahi ‘purush’ se apana chhutakara ya mukti kar leti hai, kyoanki kartattv-dharm ‘prakriti’ hi ka hai [4].
