ab ao, satavaan adhyay prarambh karate haian. yah dvitiy shatk ke roop mean hai. shrishankarachary ne to shatk ka bhed nahian kiya, par shriyamunachary ke sampraday mean shatk ka bhed pahale se hi prasiddh hai. shriyamunacharyadi bhi isako manate haian. shrinimbikachary ke sampraday mean usaki vyakhya to nahian hai kintu keshav kashmiri ki vyakhya mean shatk ka bhed mana hua hai. madhusoodan sarasvati ne kaha ki ham shatk manakar bhi shankarachary ke arth ka niroopan karate haian, nishkam karm aur yog ke dvara isaki siddhi ka varnan hai aur doosare shatk mean tath padarth ki siddhi hai tatha bhakti ke dvara bhajaniy ke svaroop ka shodhan hai.

bhakti dohara kam karati hai. dohara kam kya? ek to aantahkaran k vasanarahit banati hai. bhagavadh-vasana, shubh vasana uday karake ashubh vasanaoan ka nirakaran karati hai aur doosare, bhajaniy ke svaroop ko ujjvalatar karake chamacham chamaka deti hai. ek or aantahkaran ki shuddhi karati hai aur doosari or padarth ka shodhan bhi karati hai. isalie bhagavanh ne ‘aprishtamapi provach’ bina prashn kiye hi kaha. arjun to yah poochhata hi nahian ki krishn, kis bhagavanh ki bhakti karani chahie? isalie bhagavanh ne kaha ki baba, meri bhakti kar!

yahaan saph-saph hai ki meri bhakti kar! asal mean nitant paroksh bhagavanh ke prati bhakti-bhav hona atyant shraddha ka kam hai. lekin yadi avatar ke roop mean, moorti ke roop mean bhagavanh pratyaksh hoan to pratyaksh mean paroksh bhagavan ka sanyog karake bhakti bana di jati hai. pratyaksh hai shalagram ki batiya, usamean paroksh haian chaturbhuj vishnu aur chaturbhuj vishnu mean bhi aantaryami eeshvaratv! shalagram ki batiya mean char bhujaean kahaan haian? manana hi to p data hai n! aur, char bhujadhari hi samagr vishv ka aantaryami hai- yah kahaan prakat hai? yah bhi to manana p data hai! lekin vahi paroksh aantaryami jab pratyakh-chaitanyabhinn hoga tab aparoksh ho jayega. isalie pratyaksh-a-bhagavanh mean jo shraddhamoolak bhagavadh-buddhi hai, use upasana kahate haian. ap yah paribhasha bana lo ki narmadeshvar mean, shalagram mean, badhee ki gadhi huee moorti mean, pati mean, guru mean- jo pratyaksh roop se anishvar hai usamean- paroksh eeshvar ki bhavana ko lakar baithana, mane usake nimitt se apane aantahkaran ko eeshvarakar banana- isaka nam hota hai upasana. aur vah ho jata hai aparoksh! kab? jab aantahkaranavachchhinn chaitany aur pratyakshavishayavachchhinn chaitany ek hota hai. jab dil mean jo atma hai vahi atma us dikhane vale paramatma mean bhi dikhane lagata hai, tab aparoksh ho jata hai.
