atharahavaan adhhyay
isase ulata, jo bhinhn dikhaee deta hai, vah bhinhn hi bhashit ho to vah rajas jnan hai. aur jahaan kuchh pata hi nahian lagata aur sab bina karan ke g dab d lagata hai, vah tamas jnan hai. jnan ke vibhag ki bhaanti karm ke bhi vibhag haian. jahaan phalechhchha nahian hai, rag-dvesh nahian hai, vah karm sattvik haian jahaan bhog ki ichhchha hai, jahaan ʻmaian karata hooanʼ. yah abhiman hai aur isase jahaan ho-halhla hai, vah rajas karm hai. jahaan parinam ki, hani ki ya hiansa ki, shakti ki parava nahian hai aur jo moh ke vash hokar hota hai, vah tamas karm hai. karm ki bhaanti kartta bhi tin tarah ke samajhane chahie. sattvik karta vah hai, jise rag nahian hai, ahankar nahian hai, tathapi jisamean dridhata hai, sahas hai aur jise achhchhe-bure phal se harsh- shok nahian hai. rajas kartta mean rag hota hai, lobh hota hai, hiansa hoti hai, harsh-shok to jaroor hi hota hai, to phir karm-phal ki ichhchha ka to kahana hi khya? aur tamas karta avhyavasthit, dirghasootri, hathi, shath, alasi, sankshep mean kaha jay to sanshkar- rahit hota hai. buddhi, dhriti aur sukh ke bhi bhinhn-bhinhn prakar janane yoghy haian. sattvik buddhi pravritti-nivritti, kary-akary, bhay-abhay aur bandh-moksh adi ka sahi bhed karati aur janati hai. rajasi buddhi yah bhed karane to chalati hai, par galat ya viparit kar leti hai aur tamasi buddhi to dharm ko adharm manati hai. sab ulta hi niharati hai. dhriti arthat dharan, kuchh bhi grahan karake usase lage rahane ki shakti. yah shakti alhpadhik praman mean sabamean hai. yadi yah n ho to jagat ek kshan bhi n tik sake. ab jisamean man, pran aur iandriyoan ki kriya ki samata hai, samanata hai aur ek- nishhtha hai, vahaan dhriti sattviki hai aur jisake dvara manushhy dharm, kam aur arth ko asaktipoorvak dharan karata hai vah dhriti rajasi hai. jo dhriti manushhy ko nianda, bhay, shok, nirasha, mad vagairah nahian chho dane deti, vah tamasi hai. |
