8. kuchh doosare log kahate haian ki arjun ki ahiansa-vritti ko door karake use yuddh mean pravritt karane ke lie gita kahi gayi hai. meri drishti se yah kathan bhi thik nahian hai. yah dekhane ke lie pahale hamean arjun ki bhoomika bariki se samajhani chahie. isake lie pahale adhyay se aur doosare adhyay mean pahuanchi huee usaki kha di se hamean bahut sahayata milegi.

arjun, jo samar-bhoomi mean kh da hua, so krit-nishchay hokar aur karttavy bhav se. kshatravritti usake svabhav mean thi. yriddh ko talane ka bharasak prayatn kiya ja chuka tha, phir bhi vah tala nahian tha. kam-se-kam maang ka prastav aur shrikrishn jaise ki madhyasthata, donoan batean bekar ho chuki thian. aisi sthiti mean anek deshoan ke rajaoan ko ekatr karake aur shrikrishn se apana sarathy svikrit karakar vah ranaangan mean kh da hai aur viravritti ke utsah ke sath shrikrishn se kahata hai- "donoan senaoan ke bich mera rath kh da kijie, jisase maian ek bar un logoan ke chehare to dekh looan, jo mujhase l dane ke lie taiyar hokar aye haian." krishn aisa hi karate haian. arjun charoan or ek nigah dalata hai, to use kya dikhayi deta hai? donoan or apane hi nate-rishtedaroan, sage-sambandhiyoan ka jabaradast jamaghat. vah dekhata hai ki dada, bap, bete, pote, apt-svajan-sambandhiyoan ki char pidhiyaan marane-marane ke aantim nishchay se vahaan ekatr huee haian.
yah bat nahian ki isase pahale use in batoan ki kalpana n ho, parantu pratyaksh darshan ka kuchh alag hi prabhav p data hai. us sare svajan samooh ko dekhakar usake hriday mean ek uthal-puthal machati hai. use bahut bura lagata hai. aj tak usane anek yuddhoan mean asankhy viroan ka sanhar kiya tha. us sayam use bura nahian laga tha, usaka gaandiv hath se gir nahian p da tha, sharir mean kanp nahian hua tha, usaki aankhe gili nahian huee thian. to phir isi samay aisa kyoan hua? kya ashok ki tarah usake man mean ahiansa-vritti ka uday hua tha? nahian, yah to keval svajanasakti thi. is samay bhi yadi guru, bandhu aur apt samane n hote, to usane shatruoan ke muand geand ki tarah u da diye hote. parantu is asaktijanit moh ne usaki karttavy nishtha ko gras liya aur tab use tattvajnan yad aya. karttavyanishth manushy ko mohagrast hone par bhi nagn- khullamakhulla- karttavyachyuti sahan nahian hoti. vah koee sadh vichar use pahanata hai. yahi hal arjun ka hua. ab vah jhooth-mooth pratipadan karane laga ki yuddh hi vasvat mean ek pap hai. yuddh se kul kshay hoga, dharm ka lop hoga, svairachar machega, vyabhicharavad phailega, akal a p dega, samaj par tarah-tarah ke sankat ayeange, adi anek dalilean dekar vah krishn ko hi samajhane laga.
