ratri jagaran aur prat: poojan

vrati ko ratri bhar krishn ki prashansa ke srotoan, pauranik kathaoan, ganoan evan nrityoan mean sanlagn rahana chahie. doosare din prat: kal ke krityoan ke sampadan ke uparant, krishn pratima ka poojan karana chahie, brahmanoan ko bhojan dena chahie, sona, gau, vastroan ka dan, 'mujh par krishn prasann hoan' shabdoan ke sath karana chahie. use

  • madhyakalik nibandhoan mean janmashtami vrat ke pramukh uddeshy ke vishay mean charcha uthayi gayi hai. kuchh logoan ke mat se upavas evan pooja donoan hi pramukh haian.[55]
  • samayamayookh ne vyakhya ke uparant nishkarsh nikala hai ki upavas keval 'aang' hai, kintu pooja hi pramukh hai. kintu tithitattv ne bhavishy puran evan mimaansa siddhantoan ke adhar par kaha hai ki upavas hi pramukh hai aur pooja keval 'aang' arthat keval sahayak tattv hai.[56]

pratyek vrat ke ant mean paran hota hai, jo vrat ke doosare din prat: kiya jata hai. janmashtami evan jayanti ke upalakshy mean kiye gaye upavas ke uparant paran ke vishay mean kuchh vishisht niyam haian. brahmavaivart puran, kalanirnay[57] mean aya hai ki–'jab tak ashtami chalati rahe ya us par rohini nakshatr rahe tab tak paran nahian karana chahie; jo aisa nahian karata, arthat jo aisi sthiti mean paran kar leta hai vah apane kiye karaye par hi pani pher leta hai aur upavas se prapt phal ko nasht kar leta hai. at: tithi tatha nakshatr ke ant mean hi paran karana chahie.[58]

udyapan evan paran mean aantar

paran ke uparant vrati 'oan bhootay bhooteshvaray bhootapataye bhootasambhavay govinday namo nam:' namak mantr ka path karata hai. kuchh paristhitiyoan mean paran ratri mean bhi hota hai, visheshat: vaishnavoan mean, jo vrat ko nity roop mean karate haian n ki kamy roop mean.
