yog ka varnan aur usake sadhan se par brahma paramath‍ma ki prapti

yajnavalh‍kh‍yaji kahate haian — nripashreshh‍th! maian saankhh‍y samh‍banh‍dhi jnan to tumh‍hean batala chuka. ab jaisa maianne dekha, suna ya samajha hai, usake anusar yogashash‍tr ka tatvik jnan mujhase suna. saankhh‍y ke saman koee jnan nahian hai. yog ke saman koee bal nahian hai. donoan ka lakshh‍y ek hai aur ve donoan hi mrith‍yu ka nivaran karane vo mane gaye haian. rajanh! jo manushh‍y ajnanaparayan haian, ve hi in donoan shash‍troan ko sarvatha bhinh‍n manate haian. ham to vichar ke dvara poorn nishh‍chay karake donoan ko ek hi samajhate haian. yogi jis tath‍v ka sakshath‍kar karate haian, vahi saankhh‍yoan dvara bhi dekha jata hai; at: jo saankhh‍y aur yog ko ek dekhata hai, vahi tath‍vajnani hai. shatrudaman naresh! yog-sadhanoan mean rudr arthath pran pradhan hai. in sabako tum sarvashreshh‍th samajho. pran ko apane vash mean kar lene par yogi isi sharir se dasoan dishaoan mean sh‍vachh‍chhanh‍d vicharan kar sakate haian. priy nishh‍pap bhoopal! jab tak mrith‍yu n ho jay, tab tak hi yogi yogabal se sh‍thool sharir ko yahian chho dakar ashh‍tavidh aishh‍vary se yukh‍t sookshh‍m sharir ke dvara lok-lokanh‍taroan mean sukhapoorvak vicharan karata hai. nripashreshh‍th! manishi purushoan ka kahana hai ki ved mean sh‍thool sookshh‍m do prakar ke yogoan ka varnan hai. unamean sh‍thool yog anima adi ath prakar ki siddhi pradan karane vala hai aur sookshh‍m yog hi (yam, niyam, asan, pranayam, prath‍yahar, dharana, dhh‍yan aur samadhi-in) ath gunoan (aangoan) se yukh‍t hai; doosara nahian. yog ka mukhh‍y sadhan do prakar ka bataya gaya hai— sagun aur nirgun (sabij aur nirbij). aisa hi shash‍troan ka nirnay hai. prithh‍vinath! kisi vishesh desh mean chitt ko sh‍thapit karane ka nam ‘dharan’ hai. man ki dharana ke sath kiya jane vala pranayam sagun hai aur desh-vishesh ka ashray n lekar man ko nirbij samadhi mean ekagr karana nirgun pranayam kahalata hai. sagun pranayam man ko nirgun arthath vrittishoonh‍y karake sthir karane mean sahayak hota hai. maithilashiromane! yadi poorak adi ke samay niyat devata adi ka dhh‍yan dvara sakshath‍kar kiye bina hi koee pranavayu ka rechan karata hai to usake sharir mean vayu ka prakop badh jata hai; at: dhayan-rahit pranayam ko nahian karana chahiye. rat ke pahale pahar mean vayu ko dharan karane ki barah preranaean batayi gayi haian. madhh‍y ratri mean ratri ke bichale do paharoan mean sona chahiye tatha pun: antim prahar mean barah preranaoan ka hi abhh‍yas karana chahiye[1]. is prakar pranayam ke dvara man ko vash mean karake shanh‍t aur jitendriy ho ekanh‍tavas karane vale ath‍maram jnani ko chahiye ki man ko paramath‍ma mean lagave. isamean sanshay nahian hai.

  1. ek pranayam mean poorak, kumh‍bhak aur rechak ke bhed se tin preranaean samajhani chahiye. is prakar jahaan barah preranaoan ke abhh‍yas ka vidhan kiya gaya hai, vahaan char-char pranayam karane ki vidhi samajhani chahiye. tath‍pary yah ki rat ke pahale aur pichhale paharoan mean dhh‍yanapoorvak char-char pranayamoan ka nith‍y abhh‍yas karana yogi ke liye ath‍yanh‍t avashh‍yak hai.
