a‍sakti chho dakar sanatan brahma ki prapti ke liye prayath‍n karane ka upadesh

bhishh‍m ji kahate hai – yudhishthir! indriyoan ke vishayoan ka par pana bahut kathin hai. jo prani uname asakh‍t hote haian ve du:kh bhogate rahate haian; aur jo mahath‍ma unamean asakh‍t nahian hote ve paramagati ko praph‍t hote haian. yah jagat janh‍m, mrith‍yu aur vriddhavash‍tha ke du:khoan nana prakar ke rogoan tatha manasik chinh‍taoan se vh‍yaph‍t haian; aisa samajhakar buddhiman purush ko moksh ke liye hi prayath‍n karana chahiye. vah man, vani aur sharir se pavitr rahakar ahankarashoonh‍y, shanh‍tachith‍t, jnanavan evan ni:sh‍prih hokar bhikshavritti se nirvah karata hua surkhapoorvak vichare. athava praniyoan par daba karate rahane se bhi mohavash unake prati man mean asakti ho jati hai. is bat par drishtipat kare aur yah samajhakar ki sara jagat apane-apane karmoan ka phal bhog raha hai, sabake prati upeksha bhav rakhe.

manushh‍y shubh ya ashubh jaisa bhi karm karata hai usaka phal use sh‍vayan hi bhogana p data hai; isaliye man, buddhi aur kriya ke dvara sada shubh karmoan ka hi acharan kare. ahiansa, sath‍yabhashan, samash‍t praniyoan ke prati saralatapoorvak bartav, kshama tatha pramadashoonh‍yata- ye gun jis purush mean vidyaman hoan, vahi sukhi hota hai. jo manushh‍y is ahiansa adi param dharm ko samash‍t praniyoan ke liye sukhad aur du:khanivarak janata hai, vahi sarvajn hai aur vahi sukhi hota hai. isaliye buddhi ke dvara man ko samahit karake samash‍t praniyoan mean sthit paramath‍ma mean lagave. kisi ka ahit n soche, asamh‍bhav vash‍tu ki kamana n kare, mithh‍ya pada‍rthoan ki chinh‍ta n kare aur saphal prayath‍n karake man ko jnan ke sadhan mean laga de. vedanh‍t –vakh‍yoan ke shravan tatha sudridh prayath‍n se uttam jnan ki prapti hoti hai. jo sookshh‍m dharm ko dekhata aur uth‍tam vachan bolana chahata ho, usako aisi bat kahani chahiye jo sath‍y hone ke sath hi hiansa aur paraninh‍da se rahit ho.

jisamean shathata, kathorata, kroorata aur chugali adi doshoan ka sarvatha abhav ho, aisi vani bhi bahut tho di matra mean aur susthir chitt se bolani chahiye. sansar ka sara vh‍yavahar vani se hi badha hua haian, at: sada uth‍tam vani hi bole aur yadi vairagh‍y ho to buddhi ke dvara man ko vash mean karake apane kiye hue hiansadi tamas karmoan ko bhi logo se kah de (kh‍yoanki prakashit kar dene se pap ki matra ghat jati hai). rajogun se prabhavit huee indriyoan ki prerana se manushh‍y vishay bhogaroop karmoan mean pravritt hota hai aur is lok mean du:kh bhogakar anh‍t mean narakagami hota hai. at: man, vani aur sharir dvara aisa kary kare jisase apane ko dhairy praph‍t ho. jaise chor ya lutere kisi ki bhe d ko marakar use kandhe par uthaye hue jab tak bhagate haian tab tak unh‍hean sari dishaoan mean pak de jane ka bhay bana rahata hai; aur jab marg ko pratikool samajhakar us bhe d ke bojh ko apane kandhe se utar pheankate haian tab apani abhishh‍t disha ko sukhapoorvak chale jate haian. usi prakar ajnani manushh‍y jab tak saansarik karmaroop bojh ko dhote hai tab tak unh‍hean sarvatr bhay bana rahata hai; aur jab use th‍yag dete haian, tab shanti ke bhagi ho jate haian.
