manushh‍y ke sh‍vabhav ki pahachan batane vali bagh aur siyar ki katha


yudhishthir ne poochha- tat! bahut-se kathor sh‍vabhav vale manushh‍y oopar se komal aur shanh‍t bane rahate haian, tatha komal sh‍vabhav ke log kathor dikhayi dete haian, aise manushh‍yoan ki mujhe thik-thik pahachan kaise ho? bhishh‍m ji bole-yudhishthir! is vishay mean janakar log ek bagh aur siyar ke sanvad rup prachin akhh‍yan ka udaharan diya karate haian, use dhh‍yan dekar suno. poorvakal ki bat hai, prachur dhan-dhanh‍y se samh‍panh‍n purika nam ki nagari mean paurik nam se prasiddh ek raja rajh‍y karata tha. vah b da hi krur aur naradham tha, doosare praniyoan ki hiansa mean hi usaka man lagata tha. dhire-dhire usaki ayu samaph‍t ho gayi aur vah aisi gati ko praph‍t hua, jo kisi bhi prani ko abhishh‍t nahian hai. vah apane poorvakram se dushit hokar doosare janh‍m mean gid d ho gaya. us samay apane poorv janh‍m ke vaibhav ka sh‍maran karake us siyar ko b da khed aur vairagh‍y hua. at: vah doosaroan ke dvara diye hue maans ko bhi nahian khata tha. ab usane jivoan ki hiansa karani chho d di, sath‍y bolane ka niyam le liya aur dridhatapoorvak apane vrat ka palan karane laga. vah niyam samay par vrikshoan se apane ap gire hue phaloan ka ahar karata tha.

vrat aur niyamoan ke palan mean tath‍par ho kabhi patta chaba leta aur kabhi pani pikar hi rah jata tha. usaka jivan sanyam mean bandh gaya tha. vah shh‍mashan bhoomi mean hi rahata tha. vahian usaka janh‍m hua tha, isaliye vahi sh‍than use pasand tha. use aur kahian jakar rahane ki ruchi nahian hoti thi. siyar ka is tarah pavitr achar-vichar se rahana usake sabhi jati-bhaiyoan ko achh‍chha n laga. yah sab unake liye asahay ho utha; isaliye ve prem aur vinayabhari batean kahakar usaki buddhi ko vichalit karane lage. unh‍hoanne kaha ‘bhaee siyar! too to maansahari jiv hai aur bhayankar shh‍mashan bhoomi mean nivas karata hai, phir bhi pavitr achar-vichar se rahana chahata hai- vah viparit nishh‍chay haian. ‘bhaiya! at: too hamare hi saman hokar rah. tere liye bhojan to ham log la diya kareange. too is shauchachar ka niyam chho dakar chupachap kha liya karana. teri jati ka jo sada se bhojan raha hai, vahi tera bhi hona chahiye. unaki aisi bat sunakar siyar ekagrachitt ho madhur, vish‍trit, yuktiyukh‍t tatha koyal vachanoan dvara is prakar bola-banh‍dhuoan! apane bure acharanoan se hi hamari jati ka koee vishh‍vas nahian karata. achh‍chhe sh‍vabhav aur acharan se hi kul ki pratishh‍tha hoti haian, at: maian bhi vahi karm karana chahata hooan, jisamean apane vansh ka yash badhe. ‘yadi mera nivas shh‍mashan bhoomi mean haian to isake liye maian jo samadhan deta hooan, usako suno! ath‍ma hi shubh karmoan ke liye prarena karata hai. koee ashram hi dharm ka karan nahian hua karata.
