daksh ke poochhane par virabhadr ne kaha- brahman! maian n to rudr hooan, n devi hooan aur n yahaan bhojan karane ke liye hi aya hooan. tumh‍hara yah yajn devi parvati ke rosh ka karan ban gaya hai- aisa janakar sarvath‍ma bhagavan shiv kupit ho uthe haian. maian yahaan aye hue shreshth brahmanoan ka darshan karane ya kautoohalavash is yajn ka tamasha dekhane ke liye nahian aya hooan. tumh‍hean yah maloom hona chahiye ki maian tumh‍hare is yajn ka vinash karane ke liye hi yahaan aya hooan. mera nam virabhadr hai. rudradev ke krodh se mera prakaty hua hai.

yah nari bhadrakali ke nam se vikhh‍yat hai aur devi parvati ke kop se prakat huee hai. devadhidev mahadev ne ham donoan ko yahaan bheja hai. isaliye ham donoan is yajn ke nikat aye haian. vipravar! tum devadhidev umavalh‍labh bhagavan shiv ki sharan mean jao. mahadev ji ka krodh bhi paramamangalamay hai aur doosaroan se mila hua varadan bhi mangalakarak nahian hota. virabhadr ki bat sunakar dharmath‍maoan mean shreshh‍th daksh ne bhagavan shiv ke uddeshh‍y se pranam karake nimh‍naankit sh‍totr ke dvara unaki sh‍tuti ki- 'jo samh‍poorn jagat ke shasak, palak, mahan ath‍ma, nith‍y, sanatan, avikari aur aradhh‍yadev haian, un mahadev ji ki aj maian sharan leta hooan.' tab anek netroan vale, shatruvijayi, mahadev apane mukhoan dvara yatnapoorvak pran aur apan vayu ko avaruddh karake samh‍poorn dishaoan mean drishh‍tipat karate hue sahasa agnikunh‍d se nikal p de. pralayakalin agni ke saman tejash‍vi sh‍varoop se sahasroan sooryoan ki prabha dharan‍ kiye ve daksh ke samane kh de ho gaye aur mush‍karakar bole- 'prajapate! bolo, maian aj tumh‍hara kaun-sa kary siddh karooan.'[1]

jinaki sankhh‍ya, praman aur roop ki sima nahian hai, jinake gunoan ki ginati nahian ho sakati, un rudroan ko maian sada namash‍kar karata hooan. ap samh‍poorn bhootoan ke janh‍madata, sabake palak aur sanharak haian; tatha ap hi samash‍t praniyoan ke anh‍tarath‍ma haian. isiliye maianne apako prithak nimanh‍tran nahian diya. nana prakar ki dakshinaoan vale yajnoan dvara ap hi ka yajan kiya jata hai aur ap hi sabake karta haian, isiliye mainean apako alag nimanh‍tran nahian diya. a‍thava dev! apaki sookshh‍m maya se maian moh mean p d gaya tha, is karan se bhi maianne apako nimanh‍tran nahian diya. bhagavan bhav! apaka bhala ho, maian bhaktibhav ke sath apaki sharan mean aya hooan, isaliye ab mujh par prasanh‍n hoiye. mera hriday, meri buddhi aur mera man sab apamean samarpit haian. is prakar mahadev ji ki sh‍tuti karake prajapati daksh chup ho gaye. tab bhagavan shiv ne bhi bahut prasanh‍n hokar daksh se kaha- ‘uttam vrat ka palan karane vale daksh! tumh‍hare dvara ki huee is sh‍tuti se maian bahut santushh‍t hooan. yahaan adhik kh‍ya kahooan, tum mere nikat nivas karoge. praja‍pati! mere prasad se tumh‍hean ek hajar ashh‍vamegh tatha ek sau vajapey yajn ka phal milega’. tadananh‍tar! vakh‍yavisharad, lokanath bhagavan shiv ne prajapati ko sanh‍tavana dene vala yuktiyukh‍t evan uttam vachan kaha- ‘daksh! daksh! is yajn mean jo vighn dala gaya hai, isake liye tum khed n karana. maianne pahale kalh‍p mean bhi tumh‍hare yajn ka vidhh‍vans kiya tha. yah ghatana bhi poorvakalh‍p ke anusar hi huee hai. suvrat! maian pun: tumh‍hean varadan deta hooan, tum ise sh‍vikar karo aur prasannavadan tatha ekagrachitt hokar yahaan meri yah bat suno.[9]
