kapil ne kaha- yam-niyamoan ka palan karane vale sannhyasi jnanamarg ka ashray lekar parabrahm paramathma ko prapht hote haian. ve is drishhy prapanch ko nashhvar samajhate haian. samhpoorn lokoan mean unaki gati ka kahian koee avarodh nahian hota. unhhean sardi-garmi adi dvanhdv vichalit nahian karate. ve n to kisi ko pranam karate haian aur n ashirvad hi dete haian. itana hi nahian, ve vidvan purush kamanaoan ke banhdhan mean bhi nahian bandhate haian. samhpoorn papoan se mukht, pavitr aur nirmal hokar sarvatr vicharate rahate haian. ve moksh ki prapti aur sarvashv ke thyag ke liye apani buddhi mean dridh nishchay rakhate haian. brahm ke dhhyan mean tathpar evan brahmashvaroop hokar brahm mean hi nivas karate haian. unhhean ve sanatan lok prapht hote haian, jahaan shok aur dukh ka sarvatha abhav hai tatha jahaan rajogun (kam-krodh adi) ka darshan nahian hota. us paramagati ko pakar unhhean garhashthhy-ashram mean rahane aur yahaan ke dharmoan ke palan karane ki khya avashhyakata rah jati hai? syoomarashmi ne kaha- jnan prapht karake parabrahm mean sthit ho jana hi yadi purusharth ki charam sima hai, yadi vahi uttam gati hai, tab to grihashth-dharm ka mahattv aur bhi badh jata hai; khyoanki grihashthoan ka sahara liye bina koee bhi ashram n to chal skata hai aur n to jnan ki nishhtha hi pradan kar sakata hai. jaise samasht prani mata ki god ka sahara pakar hi jivan dharan karate haian, usi prakar grihashth-ashram ka ashray lekar hi doosare ashram tike hue haian. grihashth hi yajn karata hai, grihashth hi tap karata hai. manushhy jo kuchh bhi cheshta karata hai- jis kisi bhi shubh karm ka acharan karata hai, us dharm ka mool karan garhashthhy-ashram hi hai.
samasht pranadhari jiv santan ke uthpadan adi se sukh ka anubhav karate haian, parantu santan garhashthhy-ashram ke siva anhyatr kisi tarah sulabh nahian hai. kush-kash adi trin, dhan-jau adi aushadhi, nagar ke bahar uthpanhn hone vali doosari aushadhiyaan tatha parvat par hone vali jo aushadhiyaan haian, un sabaka mool bhi garhashthhy-ashram hi hai (khyoan ki vahian ke yajn se parjanhy (megh) ki uthpatti hoti hai, jisase varsha adi ke dvara trin-lata, aushadhiyaan uthpanhn hoti haian). pranashvaroop jo aushadhiyaan haian; usase bahar koee dikhayi nahian deta. grihashthashram ke dharmoan ka palan karane se moksh nahian hota hai, aisi kisaki vani sathy hogi. jo shraddharahit, moodh aur sookshhmadrishti se vanchit haian, asthir, alasi, shranht aur apane poorvakrit karmoan se santapht haian, ve ajnani purush hi sannhyas-marg ka ashray le grihashthashram mean shanti ka abhav dekhate haian. vaidik dharm ki sanatan maryada tinoan lokoan ka hit karane vali evan dhruv haian. brahman poojaniy hai aur janhmakal se hi usaka sabake dvara samadar hota hai. brahman, kshatriy aur vaishhy– tinoan varnoan mean garbhadhan se pahale vedamanhtroan ka uchhcharan kiya jata hai. phir laukik aur paralaukik sabhi karyoan mean nisandeh un vedamantroan ki pravriti hoti hai.[1]
mritak ke dah-sanshkar mean, pun: deh dharan karane mean, deh dharanakar lene par, mrit vhyakti ki tripti ke liye pratidin tarpan aur shraddh karane mean, vaitarani ke nimitt gauoan tatha anhy pashuoan ka dan karane mean tatha shraddhakarm mean diye hue pinhdoan ka jal ke bhitar visarjan karane mean bhi vaidik manhtroan ka upayog hota hai- in sab karyoan ke mool ved-manhtr haian. archishhmath, barhishadh tatha kavhyavah sanjnak pitar bhi mrit vhyakti ke (sukh- shanti evan prasanhnata) ke liye manhtr-path ki anumati dete haian. manhtr hi sab dharmoan ke karan haian. ve hi ved-manhtr jab pukar-pukarakar kahate haian ki manushhy devataoan, pitaroan aur rrishiyoan ke janhm se hi rrini hote haian, tab grihashthashram mean rahakar un rrinoan ko chukaye bina kisi ka bhi moksh kaise ho sakata hai? shrihin aur alasi panditoan ne karmoan ke thyag se moksh milata hai– aisa mat chalaya hai. yah sunane mean sathy-sa abhasit hota hai, parantu hai mithhya. is marg mean kisi ko ved ke siddhanhtoan ka tanik bhi jnan nahian hai. jo brahman ved-shashtroan ke anusar yajn ka anushhthan karata hai, us par papoan ka akraman nahian ho sakata aur n pap use apani or khianch hi sakate haian. vah apane kiye hue yajnoan aur unamean upayogi pashuoan ke sath oopar ke punhy lok mean jata hai aur shvayan sab prakar ke bhogoan se tripht hokar doosaroan ko bhi tripht karata hai. vedoan ka anadar karane se, shathata se tatha chhal-kapat se koee bhi manushhy parabrahm paramathma ko nahian pata hai. vedoan tatha unamean bataye hue karmoan ka ashray lene par hi use parabrahm ki prapti hoti hai.
kapil ji ne kaha– buddhiman purush ke liye darsh, paurnamas, agnihotr tatha chaturmashy adi ke anushhthan ka vidhan hai; khyoanki unamean sanatan dharm ki sthiti hai. parantu jo sannhyas dharm shvikar karake karmanushhthan se nivrit ho gaye haian tatha dhir, pavitr evan brahmashvaroop mean sthit haian, ve avinashi brahm ko chahane vale mahathma purush brahmajnan se hi devataoan ko tripht karate haian. jo samhpoorn bhootoan ke athmaroop se sthit haian aur samhpoorn praniyoan ko athm bhav se hi dekhate haian, jinaka koee vishesh pad nahian hai, un jnani purush ka padachihn dhooandhane vale- unaki gati ka pata lagane vale devata bhi marg mean mohit ho jate haian. manushhyoan ke hath-pair, vani, udar aur upashth- ye char dvar haian. inaka dvarapal hone ki ichhchha kare arthat in par sanyam rakhean. vah shashtravakhyoan ke anusar in charoan dvaroan ke sanyam se praphy rrikh, yaju:, sam, atharvaroop char mukhoan se yukht paramapurush ko bhaktiyog, jnanayog, karmayog evan ashhtaangayog- in char upayoan se prapht karata hai. buddhiman purush jooa n khele, doosaroan ka dhan n le, nich purush ka banaya hua anhn n grahan kare aur krodh mean akar kisi ko mar n baithe– aisa karane se usake hath-pair surakshit rahate haian. kisi ko gali n de, vhyarth n bole, doosaroan ki chugali ya ninhda n kare, mitabhashi ho, sathyavachan bole isake liye sada savadhan rahe– aisa karane se vakh-indriyaroop dvar ki raksha hoti hai.[2]
upavas n karean, kiantu bahut adhik bhi n khayean, sada bhojan ke liye lalayit n rahean. sajhjanoan ka sang kare aur jivananirvah ke liye jitana avashhyak ho, utana hi ann pet mean dalean- isase udar dvar ka sanrakshan hota hai. vir yudhishthir! apani dharmapatni ke sath hi vihar kare, parayi stri ke sath nahian, apani stri ko bhi jab tak vah rritushnata n huee ho, samagam ke liye apane pas n bulayean aur man mean ek patnivrat dharan kare. aisa karane se usake upashth-dvar ki raksha ho sakati hai. jis manishi purush ke upashth, udar, hath-pair aur vani- ye sabhi dvar poornat: rakshit haian, vahi vashtav mean brahman hai. jisake ye dvar surakshit nahian haian, usake sare shubh-karm nishhphal hote haian, aise manushhy ko tapashya, yajn tatha athmachinhtan se khya labh ho sakata hai? jisake pas vashtr ke nam par ek langoti matr hai, odhane ke liye ek chadar tak nahian hai, jo bina bichhaune ke hi sota hai, baanhoan ka hi takiya lagata hai aur sada shanhtabhav se rahata hai, usi ko devata brahman manate haian. jo muni shit-ushhn adi samhpoorn dvanhdvaroopi upavanoan mean akela hi ananhdapoorvak rahata hai aur doosaroan ka chinhtan nahian karata, use devata log brahman (brahmajnani) samajhate haian. jisako is samhpoorn jagath ki nashvarata ka jnan hai, jo prakriti aur usake vikaroan se parichit hai tatha jise samhpoorn bhootoan ki gati ka jnan hai, use devata log brahmajnani manate haian. jo samhpoorn bhootoan se nirbhay hai, jisase samasht prani bhay nahian manate haian tatha jo sab bhootoan ka athma hai, usi ko devata brahmajnani manate haian. parantu moodh manav dan aur yajn-karm ke phal ke siva yog adi ke phal ka anumodan nahian karate. ve un mokshaprad samasht sadhanoan ke mahattv ko n janane ke karan shvarg adi anhy phaloan mean hi ruchi rakhate haian. kiantu us puran, shashhvat evan dhruv yaugik sadachar ka ashray lekar apane kartavhy karmoan mean parayan rahane vale jnaniyoan ka tap uttarottar tivrata ko prapht hota hai.
pravritimargi manushhy yogashashtr ke sootroan mean kathit yam-niyamadi ka anushhthan nahian kar sakate. vah yaugik achar apattishoonhy, pramadarahit hai. vah kamadi se parabhav ko nahian prapht hota hai. yogashashtr mean kathit karmashreshhthaphal dene vale, unhnati karane vale evan shthayi haian; to bhi pravritimargi manushhy unako gunarahit (nishhphal) aur asthir samajhate haian. gunoan ke karyabhoot jo yajn-yagadi haian, unake shvaroop aur vidhi-vidhan ko samajhana bahut kathin hai. yadi anushhthan bhi kiya jay to bhi unase nashavan phal ki hi prapti hoti hai. in sab batoan ko tum bhi dekhate aur samajhate ho. syoomarashmi ne kaha- bhagavan! 'karm karo' aur 'karm chho do' ye jo parashpar virudgh do shpashht marg haian, inaka upadesh karane vale ved ki pramanikata ka nirvah kaise ho? tatha thyag kaise saphal hota hai? yah ap mujhe bataiye.[3] kapil ne kaha- ap log sanhmarg mean sthit rahakar yahaan yog marg ke phal ka prathyaksh darshan kar sakate haian; parantu karm marg mean rahakar ap log jis yajn ki upasana karate haian, usase yahaan kaun-sa prathyaksh phal prapht hota hai? shyoomarashmi ne kaha- brahman! mera nam syoomarashmi hai. maian jnan-prapti ki ichhchha se yahaan aya hooan. maianne kalhyan ki ichhchha rakhakar saral bhav se hi apani batean apaki seva mean upasthit ki haian, vad-vivad ki ichhchha se nahian. mere man mean ek bhayanak sanshay uth kh da hua hai, ise ap hi mita sakate haian. apane kaha tha ki tum sanhmarg mean sthit rahakar yahaan yogamarg ke phal ka prathyaksh darshan kar sakate ho. maian poochhata hooan ki ap jisaki upasana karate haian, yahaan usaka athyanht prathyaksh phal khya hai? ap usaka tark ka sahara n lekar pratipadan kijiye, jisase maian agam ke arth ko jan sakooan. vedamat ka anusaran karane vale shastr to agam haian hi, tarkashashtr (vedoan ke arth ka nirnay karane vale poorvottar mimaansa adi) bhi agam haian.
jis-jis ashram mean jo-jo dharm vihit hai, vahaan-vahaan usi-usi dharm ki upasana karani chahiye. us-us shthan par usi-usi dharm ka acharan karane se hi siddhi ka prathyaksh darshan hota hai. jaise ek jagah jane vali nav mean doosari jagah jane vali nav baandh di jay to vah jal ke shtrot se apahrit ho kisi ko ganhtavhy shthan tak nahian pahuancha sakati, usi prakar poorvajanhm ke karmoan ki vasana se bandhi huee hamari karmamayi nauka ham kubuddhi purushoan ko kaise bhavasagar se par utaregi? bhagavanh! yah ap mujhe bataiye, maian apaki sharan mean aya hooan, ap mujhe upadesh dijiye. vashtav mean is jagat ke bhitar n koee thyagi hai n santushht, n shokahin hai n nirog. n to koee purush karm karane ki ichhchha se sarvatha shoonhy hai, n asakti se rahit hai aur n sarvatha karm ka thyagi hi hai. ap bhi ham logoan ki hi bhaanti harsh aur shok prakat karate haian. samasht praniyoan ke saman apake samaksh bhi shabhd, shparsh adi vishay upasthit aur grihit hote haian. is prakar charoan varnoan aur ashramoan ke log sabhi pravritiyoan mean ekamatr sukh ka hi ashray lete haian- usi ko apana lakshhy banakar chalate haian, at: siddhanhtat: akshay sukh khya hai, yah bataiye. kapil ne kaha- jo-jo shashtr jis-jis arth ka acharan-pratipadan karata hai, vah-vah sabhi pravritiyoan mean saphal hota hai. jis sadhan ka jahaan anushhthan hota hai, vahaan-vahaan akshay sukh ki prapti hoti hai. jo jnan ka anusaran karata hai, jnan usake samasht sansar banhdhan ka nash kar deta hai. bina jnan ki jo pravriti hoti hai, vah praja ko janhm aur maran ke chakhkar mean dalakar usaka vinash kar deti hai. ap log jnani haian, yah bat sarvavidit hai. ap sab or se nirog bhi haian; parantu khya ap logoan mean se koee bhi kisi bhi kal mean ekathmata ko prapht hua hai? (jab ekamatr advitiy athma arthath brahm ki hi sathta ka sarvatr bodh hone lage, tab use ekathmata ka jnan kahate haian).[4]
shashtr ko yatharth roop se n janakar kuchh log vitanhdavad ke hi bal se rag-dvesh se abhibhoot hone ke karan ahankar ke adhin ho gaye haian. ve shashtroan ke yatharth tathpary ko n janane ke karan shashtradashyu (shashtroan ke arth par daka dalane vale lutere) kahe jate haian. sarvavhyapi brahm ka bhi apalap karane ke karan brahmachor ki padavi se vibhooshit hote haian. sham-dam adi sadhanoan ka kabhi anushhthan nahian karate haian tatha damhbhi aur moh ke vash mean p de rahate haian. ve sham-dam adi sadhanoan ko sada nishhphal hi dekhate aur samajhate haian. jnan, aishhvary adi sadagunoan ki jijnasa nahian karate haian. un tamomay sharir vale purushoan ka tamogun hi sabase b da avalamhb hai. jis prani ki jaisi prakriti hoti hai, us prakriti ke vah adhin hota hai. usake bhitar dvesh, kam, krodh, damhbh, asathy aur mad- ye prakritijanit gun sada hi vidyaman rahate haian. paramagati prapht karane ki ichhchha vale sanyamashil yadi is prakar soch-vicharakar shubh aur ashubh donoan ka parithyag kar dete haian. syoomarashmi ne kaha- brahman! maianne yahaan jo kuchh kaha hai, vah sab shashtr se pratipadit hai; khyoanki shashtr ke arth ko jane bina kisi ki kisi bhi kary mean pravriti nahian hoti. jo koee bhi nhyayochit achar hai, vah sab shashtr hai, aisa shruti ka kathan hai. jo anhyayapoorn bartav hai, vah ashashtriy hai, aisi shruti bhi suni jati hai. shashtr ke bina arthat shashtr ki ajna ka ulhlaghann karake koee pravriti saphal nahian ho sakati, yah vidvanoan ka nishhchay hai. jo vaidik vachanoan ke viruddh hai, vah sab ashashtriy hai, aisa shruti ka kathan hai. bahut-se manushhy prathyaksh ko hi manane vale haian. ve shashtr se prithak ihalok par hi drishti rakhate haian. shashtrokht doshoan ko nahian dekhate haian aur jaise ham log shok karate haian, vaise hi ve bhi avaidikamat ka ashray lekar shok kiya karate haian. ap-jaise jnaniyoan ko bhi sab janhtuoan ke saman hi indriyoan ke vishayoan ka anubhav hota hai. is prakar charoan varnoan aur ashramoan ki jo pravrittiyaan haian, unamean lage hue manushhy ekamatr sukh ka hi ashray lete haian- use hi prapht karana chahate haian.
unamean se ham jaise log ajnan se hatabuddhi, tuchhchh vishayoan mean man lagane vale tatha tamogun se avrit haian. ap oohapoh karane mean samarth-kushal haian, at: sarvadeshik siddhanht ke roop mean mokshasukh ki ananhtata batakar apane man se hamean shanti pahuanchayi hai. jo apake saman ekaki, yogayukht, kritakrithy aur man par vijay pane vala hai tatha jo keval sharir ka athava usaki raksha ke liye shvalhp bhikshanhnamatr ka sahara lekar samhpoorn dishaoan mean vicharan kar sakata hai, jisane nhyayashashtr ka parithyag kar diya hai tatha jo samhpoorn sansar ko nashavan hone ke karan garhit samajhata hai, aisa purush hi ved-vakhyoan ka ashray lekar 'moksh hai' yah sadhikar kah sakata hai. grihashthashram ke anusar jo yah kutumhb ke bharan poshan se samhbanhdh rakhane vala kary hai tatha dan, shvadhhyay, yajn, santanothpadan evan sada saral aur komal bhav se bartav karana roop jo karm hai, yah sab manushhy ke liye athyanht dushhkar hai.[5] yadi yah sab dushhkar karm karake bhi kisi ko moksh nahian prapht hua to karta ko dhikhkar hai. usake us kary ko dhikhkar hai. aur isamean jo parishram hua, vah vhyarth ho gaya. yadi karmakanhd ko vhyarth samajhakar chho d diya jay to yah nastikata aur vedoan ki avahelana hogi; at: bhagavanh! maian yah sunana chahata hooan ki karmakanhd kis prakar sugamatapoorvak moksh ka sadhak hoga? brahman! ap mujhe tattv ki bat bataiye. maian shishhy bhav se apaki sharan mean aya hooan. gurudev! mujhe upadesh kijiye. apako moksh ke shvaroop ka jaisa jnan hai, vaisa hi maian bhi sikhana aur janana chahata hooan.[6]
