brahmanadevata ne kaha- "devataoan ke aradhyadev jagadguru shrikrishn! bhala, ab hamean kya karana baki hai? kyoanki apake sath, jo satyasankalp paramatma haian, hamean gurukul mean rahane ka saubhagy prapt hua tha. prabho! chhandomay ved, dharm, arth, kam, moksh, chaturvidh purusharth ke mool strot haian; aur ve haian apake sharir. vahi ap vedadhyayan ke liye gurukul mean nivas karean, yah manushy-lila ka abhinay nahian to aur kya hai?"

parikshit! apani buddhi se is prakar nishchay karake ve brahmanadevata tyagapoorvak anasakt bhav se apani patni ke sath bhagavatprasad svaroop vishayoan ko grahan karane lage aur dinoan din unaki prem-bhakti badhane lagi. priy parikshit! devataoan ke bhi aradhyadev bhakt-bhayahari yajnapati sarvashaktiman bhagavan svayan brahmanoan ko apana prabhu, apana ishtadev manate haian. isaliye brahmanoan se badhakar aur koee bhi prani jagat mean nahian hai. is prakar bhagavan shrikrishn ke pyare sakha us brahman ne dekha ki ‘yadyapi bhagavan ajit haian, kisi ke adhin nahian haian; phir bhi ve apane sevakoan ke adhin ho jate haian, unase parajit ho jate haian,’ ab ve unhian ke dhyan mean tanmay ho gaye. dhyan ke aveg se unaki avidya ki gaanth kat gayi aur unhoanne tho de hi samay mean bhagavan ka dham, jo ki santoan ka ekamatr ashray hai, prapt kiya. parikshit! brahmanoan ko apana ishtadev manane vale bhagavan shrikrishn ki is brahman bhakti ko jo sunata hai, use bhagavan ke charanoan mean premabhav prapt ho jata hai aur vah karmabandhan se mukt ho jata hai."
