bhaktiyog ki mahima tatha dhyanavidhi ka varnan

uddhav ji ne poochha- 'shrikrishn! brahmavadi mahatma atm kalyan ke anekoan sadhan batalate haian. unamean apani-apani drishti ke anusar sabhi shreshth haian athava kisi ek ki pradhanata hai? mere svami! apane to abhi-abhi bhaktiyog ko hi nirapeksh evan svatantr sadhan batalaya hai; kyoanki isi se sab or se asakti chho dakar man ap mean hi tanmay ho jata hai.'

bhagavan shrikrishn ne kaha- priy uddhav! yah vedavani samay ke pher se pralay ke avasar par lupt ho gayi thi; phir jab srishti ka samay aya, tab maianne apane sankalp se hi ise brahma ko upadesh kiya, isamean mere bhagavat dharm ka hi varnan hai. brahma ne apane jyeshth putr svayambhuv manu ko upadesh kiya aur unase bhrigu, aangira, marichi, pulah, atri, [[pulasty] aur kratu-in sat prajapati-maharshiyoan ne grahan kiya. tadanantar in brahmarshiyoan ki santan devata, danav, guhyak, manushy, siddh, gandharv, vidyadhar, charan, kindev[1], kinnar[2], nag, rakshas aur kimpurush[3] adi ne ise apane poorvaj inhian brahmarshiyoan se prapt kiya. sabhi jatiyoan aur vyaktiyoan ke svabhav-unaki vasanaean sattv, raj aur tamogun ke karan bhinn-bhinn haian; isilaye usamean aur unaki buddhi-vrittiyoan mean bhi anekoan bhed haian. isaliye ve sabhi apani-apani prakriti ke anusar us vedavani ka bhinn-bhinn arth grahan karate haian. vah vani hi aisi alaukik hai ki usase vibhinn arth nikalana svabhavik hi hai. isi prakar svabhav bhed tatha paramparagat upadesh ke bhed se manushyoan ki buddhi mean bhinnata a jati hai aur kuchh log to bina kisi vichar ke vedaviruddh pakhand matavalambi ho jate haian.

priy uddhav! sabhi ki buddhi meri maya se mohit ho rahi hai; isi se ve apane-apane karm-sanskar aur apani-apani ruchi ke anusar atmakalyan ke sadhan bhi ek nahian, anekoan batalate haian. poorvamimaansak dharm ko, sahityachary yash ko, kamashastri kam ko, yogavetta saty aur shamadamadi ko, dandanitikar aishvary ko, tyagi tyag ko aur lokayatik bhog ko hi manushy-jivan ka svarth-param labh batalate haian. karmayogi log yajn, tap, dan, vrat tatha yam-niyam adi ko purusharth batalate haian. parantu ye sabhi karm haian; inake phalasvaroop jo lok milate haian, ve utpatti aur nash vale haian. karmoan ka phal samapt ho jane par unase duahkh hi milata hai aur sach poochho, to unaki antim gati ghor ajnan hi hai. unase jo sukh milata hai, vah tuchchh haian-nagany hai aur ve log bhog ke samay bhi asooya adi doshoan ke karan shok se paripoorn haian. (isaliye in vibhinn sadhanoan ke pher mean n p dana chahiye).

priy uddhav! jo sab or se nipeksh-beparavah ho gaya hai, kisi bhi karm ya phal adi ki avashyakata nahian rakhata aur apane antahkaran ko sab prakar se mujhe hi samarpit kar chuka hai, paramanandasvaroop maian usaki atma ke roop mean sphurit hone lagata hooan. isase vah jis sukh ka anubhav karata hai, vah vishay-lolup praniyoan ko kisi prakar mil nahian sakata. jo sab prakar ke sangrah-parigrah se rahit-akianchan hai, jo apani indriyoan par vijay prapt karake shant aur samadarshi ho gaya hai, jo meri prapti se hi mere sannidhy ka anubhav karake hi sada-sarvada poorn santosh ka anubhav karata hai, usake liye akash ka ek-ek kona anand se bhara hua hai.

tika tippani aur sandarbh

  1. shram aur svedadi durgandh se rahit hone ke karan jinake vishay mean ‘ye devata haian ya manushy’ aisa sandeh ho, ve dvipantar-nivasi manushy.
  2. mukh tatha sharir akriti se kuchh-kuchh manushy ke saman prani.
  3. kuchh-kuchh purush ke saman pratit hone vale vanaradi.
