arjun ne kaha: he krishn! us asaphal yogi ki gati kya hai jo prarambh mean shraddhapoorvak atm-sakshatkar ki vidhi grahan karata hai, kintu bad mean bhautikata ke karan usase vichalit ho jata hai aur yogasiddhi ko prapt nahian kar pata?

bhagavadgita mean atm-sakshatkar ya yog marg ka varnan hai. atm-sakshatkar ka moolabhoot niyam yah hai ki jivatma yah bhautik sharir nahian hai, apitu isase bhinn hai aur usaka sukh shashvat jivan, anand tatha jnan mean nihit hai. ye sharir tatha man donoan se pare haian. atm-sakshatkar ki khoj jnan dvara ki jati hai. isake lie ashtaang vidhi ya bhaktiyog ka abhyas karana hota hai. inamean se pratyek vidhi mean jiv ko apani svabhavik sthiti, bhagavan se apane sambandh tatha un karyoan ki anubhooti prapt karani hoti hai, jinake dvara vah tooti huee shrriankhala ko jo d sake aur krishnabhavanamrit ki sarvochch siddh-avastha prapt kar sake. in tinoan vidhiyoan mean se kisi ka bhi palan karake manushy der-saver apane charam lakshy ko prapt hota hai. bhagavan ne dvitiy adhyay mean is par bal diya hai ki divyamarg mean tho de se prayas se bhi moksh ki mahati asha hai. in tinoan mean se is yug ke lie bhaktiyog vishesh roop se upayukt hai, kyoanki eesh-sakshatkar ki yah shreshthatam pratyaksh vidhi hai, atah arjun punah ashvast hone ki drishti se bhagavan krishn se apane poorvakathan ki pushti karane ko kahata hai. bhale hi koee atm-sakshatkar ke marg ko nishthapoorvak kyoan n svikar kare, kintu jnan ki anushilan vidhi tatha ashtaangayog ka abhyas is yug ke lie samanyataya bahut kathin hai, atah nirantar prayas hone par bhi manushy anek karanoan se asaphal ho sakata hai. pahala karan yo yah ho sakata hai ki manushy is vidhi ka palan karane mean paryapt satark n rah paye. divyamarg ka anusaran bahut kuchh maya ke oopar dhava bolana jaisa hai. phalatah jab bhi manushy maya ke pash se chhootana chahata hai, tab vah vividh pralobhanoan ke dvara abhyasakarta ko parajit karana chahati hai. baddhajiv pahale se prakriti ke gunoandvara mohit rahata hai aur divy anushasanoan ka palan karate samay bhi usake punah mohit hone ki sambhavana bani rahati hai. yahi yogachchalitamanas arthat divy path se vichalan kahalata hai. arjun atm-sakshatkar ke marg se vichalan ke prabhav ke sambandh mean jijnasa karata hai.
