shiv dvara dharm ke lakshanoan ka varnan

uma ne poochha- bhagavan! maian ek aur sanshay upasthit karati hooan, charoan varnoan ka jo-jo dharm apane-apane varn ke liye vishesh labhakari ho, vah mujhe batane ki kripa kijiye. brahman ke liye dharm ka svaroop kaisa hai, kshatriy ke liye kaisa hai, vaishy ke liye upayogi dharm ka kya lakshan hai tatha shoodr ke dharm ka bhi kya lakshan hai?

shri maheshvar ne kaha- devi! tumhare man ko priy lagane vala jo yah dharm ka vishay hai, use bataooanga. tum varnoan aur ashramoan par avalambit samast dharm ka poornaroop se varnan suno. brahman, kshatriy, vaishy aur shoodr-ye varnoan ke char bhed haian. lokatantr ki ichchha rakhane vale vidhata ne sabase pahale brahmanoan ki srishti ki hai aur shastroan mean unake yogy karmoan ka vidhan kiya hai. devi! yadi yah sara jagath ek hi varn ka hota to sab sath hi nasht ho jata. isaliye vidhata ne char varn banaye haian. brahmanoan ki srishti vidhata ke mukh se huee hai, isiliye ve vanivisharad hote haian. kshatriyoan ki srishti donoan bhujaoan se huee hai, isiliye unhean apane bahubal par garv hota hai. vaishyoan ki utpatti udar se huee hai, isiliye ve udar poshan ke nimitt krishi, vanijyadi vartavritti ka ashray le jivan-nirvah karate haian. shoodroan ki srishti pair se huee hai, isaliye ve paricharak hote haian. devi! ab tum ekagrachitt hokar charoan varnoan ke dharm aur karmoan ka varnan suno. brahman ko is bhoomi ka devata banaya gaya hai. ve sab lokoan ki raksha ke liye utpann kiye gaye haian.

karmoan ka varnan

atah apane hit ki ichchha rakhane vale kisi bhi manushy ko brahmanoan ka apaman nahian karana chahiye.. devi! yadi dan aur yog ka vahan karane vale ve brahman n hoan to lok aur paralok donoan ki sthiti kadapi nahian rah sakati. jo brahmanoan ka apaman aur ninda karata athava unhean krodh dilata ya un par prahar karata athava unaka dhan har leta hai ya kam, lobh evan moh ke vashibhoot hokar unase nich karm karata hai, vah naradham mera hi apaman ya ninda karata hai. mujhe hi krodh dilata hai, mujh par hi prahar karata hai, vah moodh mere hi dhan ka apaharan karata hai tatha vah moodhachitt manav mujhe hi idhar-udhar bhejakar nich karm karata aur ninda karata hai.. vedoan ka svadhyay, yajn aur dan brahman ka dharm hai, yah shastr ka nirnay hai. vedoan ko padhana, yajaman ka yajn karana aur dan lena- ye usaki jivika ke sadhanabhoot karm haian. saty, manonagrih, tap aur shauchachar ka palan- yah unaka sanatan dharm hai.. ras aur dhany (anaj) ka vikray karana brahman ke liye nindit hai.. sada tap karana hi brahman ka dharm hai, isamean sanshay nahian hai. vidhata ne poorvakal mean dharm ka anushthan karane ke liye hi apane tapobal se brahman ko utpann kiya tha.[1]

mahabhage! maianne tumhare nikat sab prakar se dharm ka nirnay kiya hai. mahabhag brahman is lok mean sada bhoomidev mane gaye haian. isamean sanshay nahian ki upavas (indriyasanyam) vrat ka acharan karana brahman ke liye sada dharm batalaya gaya hai. dharmarth sampann brahman brahmabhav ko prapt ho jata hai. devi! use dharm ka anushthan aur nyayatah brahmachary ka palan karana chahiye. vrat ke palanapoorvak upanayan sanskar ka hona usake liye param avashyak hai, kyoanki usi se vah dvij hota hai. guru aur devataoan ki pooja tatha svadhyay aur abhyasaroop dharm ka palan brahman ko avashy karana chahiye. dharmaparayan dehadhariyoan ko uchit hai ki ve punyaprad dharm ka acharan avashy karean.

uma ne kaha- bhagavan! mere man mean abhi sanshay rah gaya hai. atah usaki vyakhya karake mujhe samajhaiye. charoan varnoan ka jo dharm hai, usaka poornaroop se pratipadan kijiye.

shrimaheshvar ne kaha- dharm ka rahasy sunana, vedokt vrat ka palan karana, hom aur guruseva karana- yah bahmachary-ashram ka dharm hai. brahmachari ke liye bhaikshacharya (gaanvoan mean se bhiksha maangakar lana aur guru ko samarpit karana) param dharm hai. nity yajnopavit dharan kiye rahana, pratidin ved ka svadhyay karana aur brahmacharyashram ke niyamoan ke palan mean lage rahana, brahmachari ka pradhan karm hai. brahmachary ki avadhi samapt hone par dvij apane guru ki ajna lekar samavartan kare aur ghar akar anuroop stri se vidhipoorvak vivah kare. brahman ko shoodr ka ann nahian khana chahiye, yah usaka dharm hai. sanmarg ka sevan, nity upavas-vrat aur brahmachary ka palan bhi dharm hai. grihasth ko agnisthapanapoorvak agnihotr karane vala, svadhyayashil, homaparayan, jitendriy, vighasashi, mitahari, satyavadi aur pavitr hona chahiye.

atithi-satkar karana aur garhapaty adi trividh agniyoan ki raksha karana usake liye dharm hai. vah nana prakar ki ishtiyoan aur pashu raksha karm ka bhi vidhipoorvak acharan kare. yajn karana tatha kisi bhi jiv ki hiansa n karana usake liye param dharm hai. ghar mean pahale bhojan n karana tatha vighasashi hona- kutumb ke logoan ke bhojan karane ke bad hi avashisht ann ka bhojan karana- yah bhi usaka dharm hai. jab kutumbijan bhojan kar lean usake pashchat svayan bhojan karana- yah grihasth brahman ka visheshatah shrotriy ka mukhy dharm bataya gaya hai. pati aur patni ka svabhav ek sa hona chahiye. yah grihasth ka dharm hai. ghar ke devataoan ki pratidin pushpoan dvara pooja karana, unhean ann ki bali samarpit karana, roj-roj ghar lipana aur pratidin vrat rakhana bhi grihasth ka dharm hai. jha d-buhar, lip-potakar svachchh kiye hue ghar mean ghritayukt ahuti karake usaka dhuaan phailana chahiye. yah brahmanoan ka garhasthy dharm batalaya, jo sansar ki raksha karane vala hai. achchhe brahmanoan ke yahaan sada hi is dharm ka palan kiya jata hai.[2]

devi! mere dvara jo kshatriy-dharm bataya gaya hai, usi ka ab tumhare samaksh varnan karata hooan, tum mujhase ekagrachitt hokar suno. kshatriy ka sabase pahala dharm hai praja ka palan karana. praja ki ay ke roothe bhag ka upabhog karane vala raja dharm ka phal pata hai. devi! kshatriy brahmanoan ke palan mean tatpar rahate haian. yadi sansar mean kshatriy n hota to is jagat mean bhari ulat-pher ya viplav mach jata. kshatriyoan dvara raksha hone se hi yah jagat sada tika rahata hai.. uttam gunoan ka sampadan aur puravasiyoan ka hitasadhan usake liye dharm hai. gunavan raja sada nyayayukt vyavahar mean sthit rahe. jo raja dharmapoorvak praja ka palan karata hai, use usake prajapalanaroopi dharm ke prabhav se uttam lok prapt hote haian. raja ka param dharm hai- indriyasanyam, svadhyay, agnihotrakarm, dan, adhyayan, yajnopavit-dharan, yajnanushthan, dharmik kary ka sampadan, poshyavarg ka bharan-poshan, arambh kiye hue karm ko saphal banana, aparadh ke anusar uchit dand dena, vaidik yajnadi karmoan ka anushthan karana, vyavahar mean nyay ki raksha karana aur satyabhashan mean anurakt hona. ye sabhi karm raja ke liye dharm hi haian.

jo raja dukhi manushyoan ko hath ka sahara deta hai, vah is lok aur paralok mean bhi sammanit hota hai. gauoan aur brahmanoan ko sankat se bachane ke liye jo parakram dikhakar sangram mean mrityu ko prapt hota hai, vah svarg mean ashvamedh yajnoan dvara jite hue lokoan par adhikar jama leta hai. devi! isi prakar vaishy bhi logoan ki jivan yatra ke nirvah mean sahayak mane gaye haian. doosare varnoan ke log unhian ke sahare jivan-nirvah karate haian, kyoanki ve pratyaksh phal dene vale haian. yadi vaishy n hoan to doosare varn ke log bhi n rahean. pashuoan ka palan, kheti, vyapar, agnihotrakarm, dan, adhyayan, sanmarg ka ashray lekar sadachar ka palan, atithi-satkar, sham, dam, brahmanoan ka svagat aur tyag- ye sab vaishyoan ke sanatan dharm haian. vyapar karane vale sadachari vaishy ko til, chandan aur ras ki vikri nahian karani chahiye tatha brahman, kshatriy aur vaishy- is trivarg ka sab prakakar se yathashakti yathayogy atithyasatkar karana chahiye. shoodr ka param dharm hai tinoan varnoan ki seva. jo shoodr satyavadi, jitendriy aur ghar par aye hue atithi ki seva karane vala hai, vah mahan tap ka sanchay kar leta hai. usaka sevaroop dharm usake liye kathor tap hai. nity sadachar ka palan aur devata tatha brahmanoan ki pooja karane vale buddhiman shoodr ko dharm ka manovaanchhit phal prapt hota hai. isi prakar shoodr bhi sampoorn dharmoan ke sadhak bataye gaye haian. yadi shoodr n hoan to seva ka kary karane vala koee nahian hai.[3]

pahale ke jo tin varn haian, ve sab shoodramoolak hi haian, kyoanki shoodr hi seva ka karm karane vale mane gaye haian. brahman adi ki seva hi das ya shoodr ka dharm mana gaya hai. vanijy, karigar ke kary, shilp tatha naty bhi shoodr ka dharm hai. use ahiansak, sadachari aur devataoan tatha brahmanoan ka poojak hona chahiye.. aisa shoodr apane dharm se sampann aur usake abhisht phaloan ka bhagi hota hai. yah tatha aur bhi shoodr-dharm kaha gaya hai. shobhane! is prakar maianne tumhean ek-ek karake charoan varnoan ka sara dharm batalaya. subhage! ab aur kya sunana chahati ho?

uma bolian- bhagavan! devadeveshvar! vrishabhadhvaj! dev! apako namaskar hai. prabho! ab maian ashramiyoan ka dharm sunana chahati hooan.

shrimaheshvar ne kaha- devi! ekagrachitt hokar ashramadharm ka varnan suno. brahmavadi muniyoan ne ashramoan ka jo dharm nishchit kiya hai, vahi yahaan bataya jaraha hai. ashramoan mean grihasth-ashram sabase shreshth hai, kyoanki vah garhasthy dharm par pratishthit hai. panch mahayajnoan ka anushthan, bahar-bhitar ki pavitrata, apani hi stri se santusht rahana, alasy ko tyag dena, rritukal mean hi patni ke sath samagam karana, dan, yajn aur tapasya mean lage rahana, paradesh n jana aur agnihotrapoorvak ved-shastroan ka svadhyay karana- ye grihasth ke abhisht dharm haian. isi prakar vanaprasth ashram ke sanatan dharm bataye gaye haian. vanaprasth ashram mean pravesh karane ki ichchha vala purush ekachitt hokar nishchay karane ke pashchat ghar ka rahana chho dakar van mean chala jay aur van mean prapt hone vale uttam aharoan se hi jivan-nirvah kare. yahi usake liye shastrivihit maryada hai. prithvi par sona, jata aphar dadhi-mooanchh rakhana, mrigacharm aur valkal vastr dharan karana, devataoan aur atithiyoan ka satkar karana, mahan kasht sahakar bhi devataoan ki pooja adi ka nirvah karana- yah vanaprasth ka niyam hai. usake liye pratidin agnihotr aur trikal-snan ka vidhan hai. brahmachary, kshama aur shauch adi usaka sanatan dharm hai. aisa karane vala vanaprasth pranatyag ke pashchat devalok mean pratishthit hota hai. devi! yatidharm is prakar hai.

sannyasi ghar chho dakar idhar-udhar vicharata rahe. vah apane pas kisi vastu ka sangrah n kare. karmoan ke arambh ya ayojan se door rahe. sab or se pavitrata aur saralata ko vah apane bhitar sthan de. sarvatr bhiksha se jivika chalave. sabhi sthanoan se vah vilag rahe. sada dhyan mean tatpar rahana, doshoan se shuddh hona, sab par kshama aur daya ka bhav rakhana tatha buddhi ko tattv ke chintan mean lagaye rakhana- ye sab sannyasi ke liye dharmakary haian. vararohe! jo bhookh-pyas se pi dit aur thake-made aye hue atithi ki seva-pooja karate haian, unhean bhi mahan phal ki prapti hoti hai. dharm ki abhilasha rakhane vale purushoan ko chahiye ki apane ghar par aye hue sabhi atithiyoan ko dan ka uttam patr samajhakar dan dean. unhean yah vishvas rakhana chahiye ki aj jo patr ayega, vah hamara uddhar kar dega.[4]

ashram ka varnan

samay par bhojan ki ichchha se aye athava upasthit hue atithi ka jo samadar karata hai, vahaan yah sakshat bhagavan vyas upasthit hote haian. atah komalachitt hokar us atithi ki yathashakti pooja karani chahiye, kyoanki dharm ka mool hai chitt ka vishuddh bhav aur yash ka mool hai dharm. atah devi! sarvatha saumyachitt se dan dena chahiye, kyoanki jo saumyachitt hokar dan deta hai, usaka vah dan sarvottam hota hai. shobhane! jaise bhootal par varsha ke samay girati huee jal ki chhoti-chhoti booandoan se hi khetoan ki kyariyaan, talab, sarovar aur saritaean ataky bhav se jalapoorn dikhayi deti haian, usi prakar ek-ek karake tho da-tho da diya hua dan bhi badh jata hai. bharan-poshan ke yogy kutumbijanoan ko tho da-sa kasht dekar bhi yadi dan kiya ja sake to dan hi shreshth mana gaya hai. stri-putr, dhan aur dhany- ye vastuean mare hue purushoan ke sath nahian jati haian. yashasvini! dhan pakar usaka dan aur bhog karana bhi shreshth hai, parantu dan karane se manushy mahan saubhagyashali naresh hote haian. is prithvi par dan ke saman koee doosari vastu nahian hai. dan ke saman koee nidhi nahian hai. saty se badhakar koee dharm nahian hai aur asaty se badhakar koee patak nahi hai.

jo vanaprasth ashram mean phal-mool khakar jata badhaye, valkal pahane, soory ki or muanh karake tapasya karata hai, hemant-rritu mean medhak ki bhaanti jal mean sota hai aur grishm-rritu mean panchagni ka tap sahan karata hai. is prakar jo log vanaprasth ashram mean rahakar shraddhapoorvak uttam tap karate haian, ve bhi grihasthashram ke palan se hone vale dharm ki solahavian kala ke bhi barabar nahian ho sakate. uma ne kaha- prabho! grihasthashram ka jo achar hai, jo vrat aur niyam hai, grihasth ko sada jis prakakar se devataoan ki pooja karani chahiye tatha tithi aur parvoan ke din use jis-jis vastu ka tyag karana chahiye, vah sab maian apake mukh se sunana chahati hooan.

shri maheshvar ne kaha- devi! grihasth-ashram ka jo mool aur phal hai, yah uttam dharm jahaan apane charoan charanoan se sada virajaman rahata hai, vararohe! jaise dahi se ghi nikala jata hai, usi prakar jo sab dharmoan ka sarabhoot hai, usako maian tumhean bata raha hooan. dharmacharini! suno. jo log grihasth-ashram mean rahakar mata-pita ki seva karate haian, jo nari pati ki seva karati hai tatha jo brahman nity agnihotr karm karate haian, un sab par indr adi devata, pitrilok nivasi pitar prasann hote haian evan vah purush apane dharm se anandit hota hai. uma ne poochha- jin grihasthoan ke mata-pita n hoan, unaki athava vidhava striyoan ki jivanacharya kya honi chahiye? yah mujhe bataiye.[5]

shri maheshvar ne kaha- devata aur atithiyoan ki seva, gurujanoan tatha vriddh purushoan ka abhivadan, kisi bhi prani ki hiansa n karana, lobh ko tyag dena, satyapratijn hona, brahmachary, sharanagatavatsalata, shauchachar, pahale batachit karana, upakari ke prati kritajn hona, kisi ki chugali n khana, sada dharmashil rahana, din mean do bar snan karana, devata aur pitaroan ka poojan karana, gauoan ko pratidin ann ka gras aur ghas dena, atithiyoan ko vibhagapoorvak bhojan dena, dip, thaharane ke liye sthan tatha pady aur asan dena, panchami, shashthi, dvadashi, ashtami, chaturdashi evan poornima ko sada brahmachary ka palan karana, in tithiyoan par mooanchh mu dane, sir mean tel lagane, aankh mean aanjan karane tatha daantun karane evan daant dhone adi ka kary n kare. jo in vidhi-nishedhoan ka palan karate haian, unake yahaan lakshmi pratishthit hoti haian. vrat aur upavas ka niyam palana, tapasya karana, yathashakti dan dena, poshyavarg ka poshan karana, dinoan par kripa rakhana, parayi stri se door rahana tatha sada hi apani stri se prem rakhana grihasth ka dharm hai. vidhata ne poorvakal mean pati-patni ka ek hi sharir banaya tha, atah apani hi stri mean anurakt rahane vala purush brahmachari mana jata hai. jo shil aur sadachar se vinit hai, jisane apani indriyoan ko kaboo mean rakha hai, jo saralatapoorvak batarv karata hai aur samast praniyoan ka hitaishi hai, jisako atithi priy hai, jo kshamashil hai, jisane dharmapoorvak dhan ka uparjan kiya hai- aise grihasth ke liye any ashramoan ki kya avashyakata hai? jaise sabhi jiv mata ka sahara lekar jivan dharan karate haian, usi prakar sabhi ashram grihasth-ashram ka ashray lekar hi jivan-yapan karate haian.

raja, pakhandi, nat, sapera, dambh, chor, rajapurush, vidvan, sampoorn shiloan ke janakar, sabhi sanshayalu tatha door ke raste par aye hue patheyarahit rahi- ye tatha aur bhi bahut se manushy grihasth-ashram par hi tak lagaye rahate haian. devi! choohe, billi, kutte, suar, tote, kabootar, karkat(kak adi), sarisripasevi- ye tatha aur bhi bahut-se mrig-pakshiyoan ke vanavasi samuday haian tatha isi tarah is jagat mean jo nana prakar ke saik doan aur hajaroan charachar prani ghar, kshetr aur bil mean nivas karate haian, ve sab-ke-sab yahaan grihasth ke kiye hue karm ko hi bhogate haian. jo vastu unake upayeag mean a gayi, usake liye jo buddhiman purush kabhi shok nahian karata, in sabaka palan karana dharm hi hai, aisa samajhakar santusht rahata hai, use milane vale phal ka varnan suno.. devi! jo sampoorn yajnoan ka sampadan kar kachuka hai, use ashvamedhayajn se jo phal milata hai, vahi phal is grihasth ko barah varshoan tak poorvokt niyamoan ka palan karane se prapt ho jata hai.[6]
