mahabharat: shanti parv: shatpanchashattam adhyay: shlok 34-50 ka hindi anuvad

jo manushy brahmanoan ke prati bhakti rakhate haian, ve sabake priy hote haian. rajaoan ke liye brahman ke bhaktoan ka sangrah karane se badhakar doosara koee kosh nahian hai. maharaj! maroo ( jalarahit bhoomi ), jal, prithvi, van, parvat aur manushy - in chhah prakar ke durgoan mean manavadurg hi pradhan hai. shastroan ke siddhant ko janane vale vidvan ukt sabhi durgoan mean manav durg ko hi atyant durlandhy manate hai. atah vidvan raja ko charoan varnoan par sada daya karani chahiye, dharmatma aur satyavadi naresh hi praja ko prasann rakh pata hai.

beta! tumhean sada aur sab aur kshamashil hi nahian bane rahana chahiye; kyoanki kshamashil hathi ke saman komal svabhav vala raja doosaroan ko bhayabhit nahian kar sakane ke karan adharm ke prasar mean hi sahayak hota hai. maharaj! isi bat ke samarthan mean barhaspaty shastr ka ek prachin shlok padha jata hai. maian use bata raha hooan, suno. nich manushy kshamashil raja ka sada usi prakar tiraskar karate rahate haian, jaise hathi ka mahavat usake sir par hi chadhe rahana chahata hai. jaise vasant rritu ka tejasvi soory n to adhik thandak pahuanchata hai aur n k di dhoop hi karata hai, usi prakar raja ko bhi n to bahut komal hona chahiye aur n adhik kathor hi. maharaj! pratyaksh, anuman, upaman aur agaman in charoan pramanoan ke dvara sada apane paraye ki pahachan karate rahana chahiye. prachur dakshina dene vale nareshvar! tumhean sabhi prakar ke vyasanoan[1] ko tyag dena chahiye; parantu sahas adi ka bhi sarvatha prayog n kiya jay, aisi bat nahian hai ( kyoanki shatruvijay adi ke liye usaki avashyakata hai ); atah sabhi prakar ke vyasanoan ki asakti ka parityag karana chahiye. vyasanoan mean asakt hua raja sada sab logoan ke anadar ka patr hota hai aur jo bhoopal sabake prati atyant dvesh rakhata hai, vah sab logoan ko udvegayukt kar deta hai. maharaj! raja ka praja ke sath garbhini stri ka sa bartav hona chahiye. kis karan se aisa hona uchit haian, yah batata hooan, suno. jaise garbhavati stri apane man ko achchhe lagane vale priy bhojan adi ka parityag karake keval garbhasth balak ke hit ka dhyan rakhati hai, usi prakar dharmatma raja ko bhi chahiye ki niahsandeh vaisa hi bartav kare.

kurooshreshth! raja apane ko priy lagane vale vishay ka parityag karake jisamean sab logoan ka hit ho vahi kary kare. pandunandan! tumhean kabhi bhi dhairy ka tyag nahian karana chahiye. jo aparadhiyoan ko dand dene mean sankoch nahian karata aur sada dhairy rakhata hai, us raja ko kabhi bhay nahian hota. vaktaoan mean shreshth rajasianh! tumhean sevako ke sath adhik hansi-majak nahian karana chahiye; isamean jo dosh haian, vah mujhase suna. raja se jivika chalane vale sevak adhik muanh lage ho jane par malik ka apaman kar baithate haian. ve apani maryada mean sthir nahian rahate aur svami ki ajna ka ullanghan karane lagate haian. ve jab kisi kary ke liye bheje jate haian to usaki siddhi mean sandeh utpann kar dete haian. raja ki gopaniy trutiyoan ko bhi sabake samane la dete haian. jo vastu nahian maangani chahiye use bhi maang baithate haian, tatha raja ke liye rakhe hue bhojy padarthoan ko svayan kha lete haian.

  1. vyasan atharah prakar ke bataye jate haian. inamean das to kamaj hai, aur ath krodhaj. shikar, jooa, din mean sona, paraninda, strisevan, mad vady, git, nrity aur madirapan- ye das kamaj vyasan bataye gaye hai. chugali, sahas, droh, eeshh‍ya, asooya, arthadooshan, vani ki kathorata aur dand ki kathorata- ye aj krodhaj vyasan kahe gaye haian.
