jab bolate samay vakh‍ta shrota ki avahelana karake doosare ke liye apani bat kahane lagata hai, us samay vah vakh‍y shrota ke hriday mean pravesh nahian karata hai. aur jo manushh‍y sh‍varth th‍yagakar doosare ke liye kuchh kahata hai, us samay usake prati shrota ke hriday mean ashanka uth‍panh‍n hoti hai, at: vah vakh‍y bhi doshayukh‍t hi hai. parantu nareshh‍var! jo vakh‍ta apane aur shrota donoan ke liye anukool vishay hi bolata hai, vahi vash‍tav mean vakh‍ta hai, doosara nahian. at: rajanh! ap sthirachith‍t evan ekagr hokar yah vakh‍y samh‍patti se yukh‍t sarthak vachan suniye. maharaj! apane mujhase poochha tha ki ap kaun haian, kisaki haian aur kahaan se ayi haian? at: isake uth‍tar mean mera yah kathan ekachith‍t hokar suniye.

rajanh! jaise kath ke sath lah aur dhool ke sath pani ki booandean milakar ek ho jati haian, usi prakar is jagath mean praniyoan ka janh‍m kee tath‍voan ke mel se hota hai. shabh‍d, sh‍parsh, roop, ras aur ganh‍th tatha paanchoan jnanendriyaan—ye ath‍ma se prithakh hone par bhi kashh‍th mean sate hue lah ke saman ath‍ma ke sath jude़ hue haian; parantu inamean sh‍vatanh‍tr koee prerana-shakti nahian hai. yahi vidvanoan ka nishh‍chay hai. inamean se ek-ek indriy ko n to apana jnan hai aur n doosare ka. netr apane netrath‍v ko nahian janata. isi prakar kan bhi apane vishay mean kuchh nahian janata. isi tarah ye indriyaan aur vishay parash‍par ek-doosare se mil-julakar bhi nahian jan sakate. jaise ki jal aur dhool parash‍par milakar bhi apane sammishran ko nahian janate. sharirash‍th indriyaan vishayoan ka prath‍yaksh anubhav karate samay anh‍yanh‍y bahy gunoan ki apeksha rakhati haian. un gunoan ko ap mujhase suniye. roop,netr, aur prakash— ye tin kisi vash‍tu ko prath‍yaksh dekhane mean hetu haian. jaise prath‍yaksh darshan mean ye tin hetu haian, usi prakar anh‍yanh‍y jnan aur jney mean bhi tin-tin hetu janane chahiye. jnan aur jnatavh‍y vishayoan ke bich mean kisi jnanendriy ke atirikh‍t man namak ek doosara gun bhi rahata hai, jisase yah jivath‍ma kisi vishay mean bhale-bure ka nishh‍chay karane ke liye vichar karata hai. vahian ek aur barahavaan gun bhi hai, jisaka nam hai buddhi. jisase kisi jnatavh‍y vishay mean sanshay uth‍panh‍n hone par manushh‍y ek nishh‍chay par pahuanchata hai. us barahavean gun buddhi mean sath‍vanamak ek (terahavaan) gun hai, jisase mahasath‍v aur alh‍pasath‍v prani ka anuman kiya jata hai. us satth‍v mean ‘maian karta hooan’ aise abhiman se yukh‍t ahankar namak ek anh‍y chauhadavaan gun hai, jisase jivath‍ma ‘yah vash‍tu meri hai aur yah vash‍tu meri nahian hai’ aisa manata hai.

rajanh! us ahankar mean vasana namak ek gun aur mana gaya hai, jo pandrahavaan hai. vahaan prithakh-prithakh kalaoan ke samooh ki jo samagrata hai, vah ek-anh‍y gun hai. vah sanghat ki bhaanti yahaan solahavaan kaha jata hai. jisamean prakriti (maya) aur vh‍yakti (prakash)- ye do gun ashrit haian (yahaan tak sab atharah hue). sukh aur du:kh, jara aur mrith‍yu, labh aur hani tatha priy aur apriy ath‍yadi dvanh‍dvoan ka jo yog hai, yah unh‍nasivaan gun mana gaya hai.
