rajanh! purush ka ek hi shatru hai, usake saman doosara koee shatru nahian hai. vah hai ajnan, jisase avrit aur prerit hokar manushh‍y ath‍yanh‍t ghor aur krooratapoorn karm karane lagata hai. rajakumar! us shatru ko parajit karane mean vahi samarth ho sakata hai, jo vedokh‍t dharmasamh‍panh‍n vriddh purushoan ki seva karake prajna (sthir buddhi) ko praph‍t kar leta hai, kh‍yoanki ajnanamay shatru ko jitana mahan prayath‍nasadhh‍y karm hai. vah prajnaroopi ban ki chot khakar hi nasht hota hai. dvij ko pahale brahmachary-ashram mean rahakar tapash‍ya-poorvak vedoan ka adhh‍yayan karana chahiye; phir grihash‍thashram mean pravesh karake apani shakti ke anusar indriy sanyamapoorvak panchamahayajnoan ka anushh‍than karana chahiye. tath‍pashh‍chat apane putr ko ghar-bar ki raksha mean niyukh‍t karake kalh‍yan marg mean sthit ho keval dharmapalan ki ichh‍chha rakhakar use van ko prash‍than karana chahiye. tat! upabhog ke sadhanoan se vanchit hone par bhi manushh‍y apane-apako hin n samajhe. chanh‍dal ki yoni mean bhi yadi manushh‍y-janh‍m praph‍t ho to vah manavetar praniyoan ki apeksha sarvatha uth‍tam hai. kh‍yoanki prithh‍vinath! manushh‍y ki yoni hi vah advitiy yoni hai, jise pakar shubhakarmoan ke anushh‍than se ath‍ma ka uddhar kiya ja sakata hai. 'prabho! ham kaun aisa upay karean, jisase hamean is manushh‍y-yoni se niche n girana p de' yah sochakar aur vaidik pramanoan par vichar karake manushh‍y dharm ka anushh‍than karate haian. jo manav ath‍yanh‍t durlabh manushh‍y-sharir ko pakar bhi doosaroan se dvesh karata hai aur dharm ka anadar karata hai tatha man mean kamanaoan mean asakh‍t ho jata hai, vah mahan labh se vanchit hota hai. tath! jo samash‍t praniyoan ko dipak ke saman sh‍neh se sanvardhan karane yogh‍y manata hai aur unh‍hean sh‍nehabhari drishti se dekhata hai evan jo samash‍t vishayoan ki or kabhi drishtipat nahian karata, vah paralok mean samh‍manit hota hai. jo sab logoan ko sanh‍th‍vana pradan karata, bhookhoan ko bhojan deta aur priy vachan bolakar s‍baka sath‍kar karata hai, vah sukh-dukh mean sam rahakar (ihalok aur) paralok mean pratishthit hota hai.

rajanh! sarash‍vati nadi, naimisharanh‍y kshetr, pushh‍kar kshetr tatha aur bhi jo prithh‍vi ke pavan tirth haian, unamean jakar dan dena, bhogoan ka th‍yag karana, shanh‍tabhav se rahana tatha tapash‍ya aur tirth ke jal se tan-man ko pavitr karana chahiye. gharo mean jinake pran nikal rahe hoan, unh‍hean shighr hi ghar se bahar le jana uth‍tam hai. mrith‍yu ke pashh‍chat unh‍hean viman par sulakar shh‍mashan mean pahuanchana tatha pavitratapoorvak shastrokh‍t vidhi se unaka drah-sansh‍kar karana avashh‍yak kartavh‍y hai. manushh‍y apani shakti ke anusar ishti-pushti (shantikarm), yajan, yajan, dan, punh‍yakarmoan ka anushh‍than tatha shraddh adi jo bhi kuchh uth‍tam kary karata hai, vah sab apane hi liye karata hai. nareshh‍var! dharmashastr aur chhahoan aangoan sahit ved punh‍yakarm karane vale purush ke kalh‍yan ke liye hi kartavh‍y ka vidhan karate haian. bhishh‍m ji kahate haian- yudhishthir! prachin kal mean mahath‍ma parashar muni ne videharaj janak ke kalh‍yan ke liye yah sab upadesh diya tha.
