jisake karan shok, tap athava du:kh ho, ya jisake karan adhik shram uthana p de, vah dukh ka mool karan apane sharir ka ek aang bhi ho to use th‍yag dena chahiye. manushh‍y jab kisi bhi padarth mean mamath‍v kar leta hai, tab ve hi sab usake vaise dukh ke karan ban jate hai. vah kamanaoan mean se jis–jis ka parith‍yag kar deta hai, vahian usake sukh ki poorti karane vali ho jati hai. use purush kamanaoan ka anusaran karata hai, vah unh‍hian ke pichhe nashh‍t ho jata hai.

sansar mean jo kuchh is lok ke bhogoan ka sukh hai aur jo sh‍varg ka mahan sukh hai, ve donoan trishh‍nakshay se hone vale sukh ki solahavian kala ke barabar bhi nahian hai. manushh‍y buddhiman ho, moorkh ho athava shooravir ho, usane poorvajanh‍m mean jaisa shubh ya ashubh karm kiya hai, usaka vaisa hi phal use bhogana p data hai. is prakar jivoan ko priy–apriy aur sukh–dukh ki prapti bar–bar kram se hoti hi rahati hai, isamean sandeh nahian hai. aisi buddhi ka ashray lekar kamanaoan ke th‍yagaroopi gun se yukh‍t hua manushh‍y sukh se rahata hai, isaliye sab prakar ke bhogoan se virakh‍t hokar unh‍hean pith–pichhe kar de, arthat un se vimukh ho jay. hriday se uth‍panh‍n hone vala yah kam hriday me hi pushh‍t hota hai, phir yahi mrith‍yu ka roop dharan kar leta hai. kh‍yoanki (jab isaki siddhi mean koee badha ati hai, tab) vidvanoan dvara yahi praniyoan ke sharir ke bhitar krodh ke nam se pukara jata hai. kachhua jaise apane aangoan ko sab or se samet leta hai, usi prakar yah jiv jab apani sab kamanaoan ka sankoch kar deta hai tab yah apane viddh anh‍t:karan mean hi sh‍vayan prakashash‍varoop paramath‍ma ka sakshath‍kar kar leta hai.

jab yah kisi se bhay nahian manata aur isase bhi kisi ko bhay nahian hota, tatha jab yah kisi vash‍tuoan n to chahata hai aur n usase dvesh hi karata hai, tab parabrahm paramath‍ma ko praph‍t kar leta hai. jab yah sadhak sath‍y aur asath‍y arthat jagat ke vh‍yakh‍t aur avh‍yakh‍t padarthoan ka, shok aur harsh ka, bhay aur abhay ka tatha priy aur apriy adi samash‍t dvanh‍doan ka parith‍yag kar deta hai, tab usaka chit shaant ho jata hai.

jab dhairyasamh‍panh‍n jnanavan purush kisi bhi prani ke pratiman, vani aur kriya dvara papapoorn bartav nahian karata, tab parabrahm paramath‍ma ko praph‍t kar leta hai. khoti buddhi vale manushh‍yoan ke liye jisaka th‍yag karana kathin hai, jo manushh‍y ke jirn (vriddh) ho jane par bhi sh‍vany kabhi jirn nahian hoti, tatha jo pranoan ke sath jane vala rog banakar rahati hai, us trishh‍na ko jo th‍yag deta hai, usi ko sukh milata hai. rajan, is vishay mean pinagla ki gayi huee gathaean suni jati haian, jisake anusar chalakar sankatakal mean bhi usane sanatan dharm ko praph‍t kar liya tha. ek bar piangla veshh‍ya bahut der tak sanket sh‍than par baithi rahian, tab bhi usaka priyatam usake pas nahian aya, isase vah b de kashh‍t mean p d gayi, tathapi shaant rahakar is prakar vichar karane lagi.
