isamean sandeh nahian ki manushh‍yoan ke jo rog hote haian, ve unake karmoan ke hi phal haian. jaise baheliye chhote mrigoan ko pi da dete haian, usi prakar ve rog aur adhi-vyadhiyaan jivoan ko pi da deti rahati haian. brahmanh! (unaka bhog poora hone par) oshadhiyoan ka sangrah karane vale chikith‍sakushal chatur chikitsak un rog-vh‍yadhiyoan ka usi prakar nivaran kar dete haian, jaise vh‍yadh mrigoan ko bhaga dete haian. dharmath‍maoan mean shreshh‍th kaushik! dekho, jinake yahaan bhojan ka bhanh‍dar bhara p da hai, unh‍hean pray: sangrahani sata rahi hai, ve usaka upabhog nahian kar pate hai. vipravar! doosare bahut-se aise manushh‍y haian, jinaki bhujaoan mean bal hai-jo sh‍vash‍th aur ann ko pachane mean samarth haian, parantu unh‍hean b di kathinaee se bhojan mil pata hai-ve sada hi anh‍n ka kashh‍t bhogate rahate haian. is prakar yah sansar asahay tatha moh, shok mean dooba hua hai. karmoan ke ath‍yanh‍t prabal pravah mean p dakar bar-bar usaki adhi-vh‍ya‍dhiroopi tarangoan ke thape de sahata aur vivash hokar idhar-se-udhar bahata rahata hai.

yadi jiv apane vash mean hote to ve n marate aur n boodhe hi hote. sabhi sab tarah ki manachahi vash‍tuoan ko praph‍t kar lete. kisi ko apriy ghatana nahian dekhani p dati. sab log sare jagath ke oopar-oopar jane ki ichh‍chha rakhate haian-sabhi sabase ooancha hona chahate haian aur usake liye ve yathashakti prayath‍n bhi karate haian, panratu (sabhi jagah) vaisa hota nahian hai. bahut-se aise manushh‍y dekhe jate haian, jinaka janh‍m ek hi nakshatr mean hua hai aur jinake lie mangal krity bhi saman roop se hi kiye gaye haian, parantu vibhinh‍n prakar ke karmoan ka sangrah hone ke karan unh‍hean prapt hone vale phal mean mahanh anh‍tar drishtigochar hota hai. brahmanh! sadhushiromane! korhi apane hath mean ayi huee vash‍tu ka bhi upayog karane mean samarth nahian hai. is jagath mean poorvajanh‍m mean kiye hue karmoan ke hi phal ki prapti dekhi jati hai. vipravar! shruti ke anusar yah jivath‍ma nishh‍chay hi sanatan hai aur sansar mean samash‍t praniyoan ka sharir nashh‍var hai. sharir par aghat karane se us sharir ka nash to ho jata hai; kiantu avinashi jiv nahian marata. vah karmoan ke banh‍dhan mean bandhakar phir doosare sharir mean pravesh kar jata hai.

brahman ne poochha- dharmajnoan tatha vakh‍taoan mean shreshh‍th vh‍yadh! jiv sanatan kaise hai? maian is vishay ko yatharth roop se janana chahata hooan.

dharmavh‍yadh ne kaha- brahmanh! deh ka nash hone par jiv ka nash nahian hota. manushh‍yoan ka yah kathan ki ‘jiv marata hai’ mithh‍ya hi hai, kiantu jiv to is sharir ko chho dakar doosare sharir mean chala jata hai. sharir ke paanchoan tath‍voan ka prithak-prithak paanch bhootoan mean mil jana hi usaka nash kahalata hai. is manav lok mean manushh‍y ke kiye hue karm ko (us karta ke siva) doosara koee nahian bhogata hai. usake dvara jo kuchh bhi karm kiya gaya hai, use vah sh‍vayan hi bhogega. kiye hue karmoan ka kabhi nash nahian hota. punh‍yatma manushh‍y punh‍yakarmoan ka anushh‍than karate haian aur nich manushh‍y pap mean pravritt hote haian. yahaan apane kiye hue karm manushh‍y ka anusaran karate haian aur unase prabhavit hokar vah doosara janh‍m dharan karata hai.
