jis kal mean n to indriyoan ke bhogoan mean aur n karmoan mean hi asakt hota hai, us kal mean sarvasankalpoan ka tyagi[1] purush yogaroodh kaha jata haian. sambandh- paramapad ki prapti mean hetu roop yogaroodh avastha ka varnan karake ab use prapt karane ke liye utsahit karate hooe bhagavanh manushh‍y ka kartavy batalate haian- apane dvara apana sansar-samudr se uddhar karean[2] aur apane ko adhogati mean n dale; kyoanki yah manushh‍y ap hi to apana mitr hai aur ap hi apana shatru haian.[3]

jis jivath‍ma dvara man aur indriyoan sahit sharir jita hua hai,[4] us jivath‍ma ka to vah ap hi mitr hai aur jisake dvara man tatha indriyoan sahit sharir nahian jita gaya hai, usake liy vah ap hi shatru ke sadrish shatruta mean bartata hai[5] sanbandh-jisane man aur indriyoan sahit sharir ko jit liya hai, vah ap hi apana mitr kh‍yoan‍ hai, is bat ko sh‍pashh‍t karane ke liye ab sharir, indriy aur man roop ath‍ma ko vash mean karane ka phal batalate haian- saradi-garami aur sukh-du:khadi mean tatha man aur apaman mean jisake aant:karan ki vrittiyaan bhalibhaanti shaant haian, aise sh‍vadhin ath‍ma vale purush ke jnan mean sachchidanandaghan paramath‍ma samh‍yakh prakar se sthit haian arthath usake jnan mean paramath‍ma ke siva anh‍y kuchh hai hi nahian. jisaka aant:karan jnan-vijnan se triph‍t hai, jisaki sthiti vikararahit hai, jisaki indriyaan bhalibhaanti ji‍ti huee haian aur jisake liye mitti, path‍thar aur suvarn saman haian, vah yogi yukh‍t arthath bhagavath praph‍t haian, aise kaha jata hai.[6] suhridh, mitr, vairi, udasin, madhh‍yash‍th, dveshh‍y[7] aur bandhuganoan mean, dharmath‍maoan mean aur papiyoan mean bhi saman bhav rakhane vala[8] ath‍yant shreshth hai.

sanbandh- yahaan yah jijnasa hoti hai ki jitath‍ma purush ko paramath‍ma ki prapti ke liye kh‍ya karana chahiye, vah kis sadhan se paramath‍ma ko shighr praph‍t kar sakata hai, isaliye dhh‍yanayog ka prakaran aramh‍bh karate haian- man aur indriyoansahit sharir vash mean rakhane vala, asharahit aur sangraharahit yogi akela hi ekaant sh‍than mean sthit hokar ath‍ma ko nirantar paramath‍ma mean lagave.[9]

  1. yahaan ‘sankalpoan ka tyag’ ka arth sphuranamatr ka sarvatha tyag nahian haian, yadi aisa mana jay to yogaroodh-avastha-ka varnan hi asambhav ho jay. isake atirikt gita ke chauthe adhh‍yay ke unnisavean shh‍lok mean bhagavanh ne spashh‍t hi kaha hai ki ‘jis mahapurush ke samast karm kamana aur sankalp ke bina hi bhalibhaanti hote haian, use pandit kahate haian.’ use vahaan jis mahapurush ki aisi prashansa ki gayi hai, vah yogaroodh़ nahian hai- aisa nahian kaha ja sakata. aisi avash‍tha mean yah nahian mana ja sakata ki sankalh‍parahit purush ke dvara karm nahian hote. isase yahi siddh hota hai ki sankalh‍poan ke th‍yag ka arth sh‍phurana ya vrittimatr ka th‍yag nahian hai. mamata, asakti aur dveshapoorvak jo saansarik vishayoan ka chiantan kiya jata hai, use ‘sankalh‍p’ kahate haian. aise sankalh‍poan ka poornataya th‍yag hi ‘sarvasankalh‍pasannh‍yas’ hai.
  2. manav-jivan ke durlabh avasar ko vh‍yarth n kholakar karmayog, saankhh‍yayog tatha bhaktiyog adi kisi bhi sadhan mean lagakar apane janh‍m ko saphal bana lena hi apane dvara apana uddhar karana hai.
    rag-dvesh, kam-krodh aur lobh-moh adi doshoan mean phansakar bhaanti-bhaanti ke dushh‍karm karana aur unake phalash‍varoop manushh‍y–sharir ke paramaphal bhagavath‍prapti se vanchit rahakar pun: shookar-kookaradi yoniyoan mean jane ka karan banana apane ko adho‍gati-mean le jana hai.
    manushh‍y ko kabhi bhi yah nahian samajhana chahiye ki prarabh‍dh bura hai, isaliye meri unh‍nati hogi hi nahian; usaka uth‍than-patan prarabh‍dh ke adhin nahian hai, usi ke hath mean hai. manushh‍y apane sh‍vabhav aur karmoan mean jitana hi adhik sudhar kar leta hai, vah utana hi unh‍nat hota hai. sh‍vabhav aur karmoan ka sudhar hi unh‍nati ka uth‍than hai t‍tha isake viparit sh‍vabhav aur karmoan mean doshoan ka badhana hi avanati ya patan hai.
  3. jo apane uddhar ke liye cheshh‍ta karata hai, vah ap hi apana mitr hai aur jo isake viparit karata hai, vahi apana shatru hai isaliye apane se bhinh‍n doosara koee bhi apana mitr ya shatru nahian hai.
  4. paramatma ki prapti ke liye manushh‍y jin sadhanoan mean apane sharir, indriy aur man ka lagana chahe, unamean jab ve anayas hi lag jayan aur unake lakshh‍y se viparit marg ki or takean hi nahian, tab samajhana chahiye ki ye vash mean ho chuke haian.
  5. asanyami manushh‍y sh‍vayan man, indriy adi ke vash mean hokar kupathh‍y karane vale rogi ki bhaanti apane hi kalh‍yan sadhan ke viparit acharan karata hai. vah ahanta, mamata, rag-dvesh, kam-krodh-lobh-moh adi ke karan pramad, alash‍y aur vishay-bhogoan mean phansakar pap-karmoan ke kathi bandhann mean p d jata hai evan apane-ap ko bar-bar narakadi mean dalakar aur nana prakar ki yoniyoan mean bhatakakar anantakal tak bhishan du:kh bhogane ke liye badhh‍y karata hai. yahi shatru ki bhaanti shatruta ka acharan karana hai.
  6. jo purush tarah-tarah ke bade़-se-bade़ du:khoan ke a p dane par bhi apani sthiti se tanik bhi vichalit nahian hota, jisake aant:karan mean jara bhi vikar uth‍panh‍n nahian hota aur jo sada-sarvada achalabhav se paramath‍ma ke sh‍varoop mean sthi‍t rahata hai, use ‘kootash‍th’ kahate haian.
  7. sanbandh aur upakar adi ki apeksha n karake bina hi karan sh‍vabhavat: prem aur hit karane vale ‘suhridh’ kahalate haian tatha parash‍par prem aur ek doosare ka hit karane vale ‘mitr’ kahalate hai. kisi nimitt se bura karane ki ichh‍chha ya cheshta karane vala ‘veri’ hai aur sh‍vabhav se hi pratikool acharan karane ke karan jo dvesh ka patr ho, vah ‘dveshh‍y’ kahalata hai. parash‍par jhag da karane valoan mean mel karane ki cheshh‍ta karane vale ko aur pakshapat chho dakar unake hit ke liye nh‍yay karane vale ko ‘madhh‍yash‍th’ kahate haian tatha unase kisi prakar ka bhi sanbandh n rakhane vale ko ‘udasin’ kahate haian.
  8. uparyukh‍t ath‍yant vilakshan sh‍vabhav vale mitr, vairi, sadhu aur papi adi ke acharan, sh‍vabhav aur vh‍yavahar bhed ka jis par kuchh bhi prabhav nahian p data, jisaki buddhi mean kisi samay, kisi paristhiti mean, kisi bhi nimitt se rag-dveshapoorvak bhedabhav nahian ata, vahi samabuddhiyukh‍t purush hai.
  9. bhog-samagri ke sangrah ka nam parigrah hai, jo usase rahit ho use ‘aparigrah’ kahate haian. vah yadi grihash‍th ho to kisi bhi vash‍tu ka mamatapoorvak sangrah n rakhe aur yadi brahmachari, vanaprash‍th ya sannh‍yasi ho to sh‍varoop se bhi kisi prakar ka shash‍trapratikool sangrah n kare. aise purush kisi bhi ashram vale hoan ‘aparigrah’ hi haian.
