- dhritarashhtr bole- is jagat mean kuchh log aise haian, jo dharm ka acharan nahian karate tatha kuchh log usaka acharan karate haian, at: dharm pap ke dvara nashht hota hai ya dharm hi pap ko nashht kar deta hai. (22)
- sanatsujat ne kaha-rajan! dharm aur pap donoan ke prithak-prithak phal hote haian aur un donoan ka upabhog karana p data hai. (23)
- kiantu paramatma mean sthit hone par vidvan purush us[1]jnan ke dvara apane poorvakrit pap aur punhy donoan ka nash kar deta hai; yah bat sada prasiddh hai. yadi aisi sthiti nahian huee to dehabhimani manushhy kabhi punhyaphal ko prapht karata hai aur kabhi kramash: prapht hue poorvoparjit pap ke phal ka anubhav karata hai. - is prakar punhy aur pap ke jo shvarg-narak do asthir phal haian, unaka bhog karake vah [2] pun: tadanusar karmoan mean lag jata hai; kiantu karmoan ke tathv ko janane vala purush nishhkam dharmaroop karm ke dvara apane poorv pap ka yahaan hi nash kar deta hai. is prakar dharm hi athyant balavan yahaan hi nash kar deta hai. is prakar dharm hi athyant balavan hai. isaliye nishhkam bhav se dharmacharan karane valoan ko samayanusar avashhy siddhi prapht hoti hai. - dhritarashhtr bole- vidvan! punhy karm karane vale dvijatiyoan ko apane-apane dharm ke phalashvaroop jin sanatan lokoan ki prapti batayi gayi hai, unaka kram batalaiye tatha unase bhinhn jo anhyay lok hai, unaka bhi niroopan kijiye. ab maian sakam karm ki bat nahian janana chahata. (26)
- sanatsujat ne kaha- jaise do balavan viroan mean apana bal badhane ke nimitt ek doosare se shpardha rahati hai, usi prakar jo nishhkamabhav se yam-niyamadi ke palan mean doosaroan se badhane ka prayas karate haian, ve brahman yahaan se marakar jane ke bad brahmalok mean apana prakash phailate haian. (27)
- jinaki dharm ke palan mean shpardha hai, unake liye vah jnan ka sadhan hai; kiantu ve brahman[3] to mrithyu ke pashchat yahaan se devataoan ke nivas shthan shvarg mean jate haian. (28)
- brahman ke samhyak achar ki vedavetta purush prashansa karate haian,kiantu jo dharm palan mean bahirmukh hai, use adhik mahattv nahian dena chahiye. jo nishhkamabhavapoorvak dharm ka palan karane se antarmukh ho gaya hai, aise purush ko shreshhth samajhana chahiye. jaise varsha rritu mean trin-ghas adi ki bahutayat hoti hai, usi prakar jahaan brahman ke yogy ann-pan adi ki adhikata maloom p de, usi desh mean rahakar vah jivan nirvah kare. bhookh-pyas se apane ko kashht nahian pahuanchave. (29-30)
- kiantu jahaan apana mahatmy prakashit n karane par bhay aur amangal prapt ho, vahaan rahakar bhi jo apani visheshata prakat nahian karata, vahi shreshhth purush hai; doosara nahian. (31)
- jo kisi ko atmaprashansa karate dekh jalata nahian tatha brahman ke svatv ka upabhog nahian karata, usake ann ko svikar karane mean satpurushoan ki sammati hai. (32)
- jaise kutta apana vaman kiya hua bhi kha leta hai, usi prakar jo apane brahmanatv ke prabhav ka pradarshan karake jivika chalate haian, ve brahman vaman ka bhojan karane vale haian aur isase unaki sada hi avanati hoti hai. (33)
- jo kutumbijanoan ke bich mean rahakar bhi apani sadhana ko unase sada gupt rakhane ka prayatn karata hai, aise brahmanoan ko hi vidvan purush brahman manate haian. (34)
