  • at: jo mrityu ko jitane ki ichchha rakhata hai, use chahiye ki paramatma ka dhh‍yan karake vishayoan ko tuchchh manakar unhean kuchh bhi n ginate hue unaki kamanaoan ka utpann hote hi nashh‍t kar dale. is prakar jo vidvan vishayoan ki ichchha ko mita deta hai, usako sadharan praniyoan ki mrityu ki bhaanti mrityu nahian marati [1] (12)
  • kamanaoan ke pichhe chalane vala manushh‍y kamanaoan ke sath hi nashh‍t ho jata hai; parantu jnani purush kamanaoan ka tyag kar dene par jo kuchh bhi janm-maran roop du:kh hai, un sabako vah nashh‍t kar deta hai. (13)
  • kam hi samast praniyoan ke liye mohak hone ke karan tamomay aur ajnanaroop hai tatha narak ke saman du:khadayi dekha jata hai. jaise madyapan se mohit hue purush chalate-chalate gaddhe़ ki or dau d p date haian, vaise hi kami purush bhogoan mean sukh manakar unaki or dau date haian. (14)
  • jisake chitt ki vrittiyaan vishay bhogoan se mohit nahian huee haian, us jnani purush ka is lok mean tinakoan ke banaye hue vyaghr ke saman mrityu kya biga d sakati hai? isaliye rajan! vishay bhogoan ke mool karanaroop ajnan ko nashh‍t karane ki ichchha se doosare kisi bhi saansarik padarth ko kuchh bhi n ginakar usaka chintan tyag dena chahiye.   • yah jo tumhare sharir ke bhitar antaratma hai, moh ke vashibhoot hokar yahi krodh, lobh [2] aur mrityu roop ho jata hai. is prakar moh se hone vali mrityu ko janakar jo jnananishh‍th ho jata hai, vah is lok mean mrityu se kabhi nahian darata. usake samip akar mrityu usi prakar nashh‍t ho jati hai, jaise mrityu ke adhikar mean aya hua maran-dharma manushh‍y. (16)
  • dhritarashh‍tr bole- dvijatiyoan ke liye yajnoan dvara jin pavitratam sanatan evan shreshh‍th lokoan ki prapti batayi gayi haian, yahaan ved unhian ko param purusharth kahate haian. is bat ko janane vala vidvan uttam karmoan ka ashray kyoan n lean? (17)
  • sanatsujat ne kaha- rajan! ajnani purush is prakar bhinn-bhinn lokoan mean gaman karata hai tatha ved karm ke bahut se prayojan bhi batate haian; parantu jo nishh‍kam purush hai, vah jnan marg ke dvara any sabhi margoan ka badh karake paramatma svaroop hota hua hi paramatma ko prapt hota hai. (18)
  • dhritarashh‍tr bole- vidvan! yadi vah paramatma hi kramash: is sampoorn jagat ke roop mean prakat hota hai to us ajanma aur puratan purush par kaun shasan karata hai? athava use is roop mean ane ki kya avashh‍yakata hai aur kya sukh milata hai? yah sab mujhe thik-thik bataiye. (19)
  • sanatsujat ne kaha- tumhare is prashh‍n ke anusar jiv aur brahm ka vishesh bhed prapt hota hai, jise svikar kar lene par ved virodh roop mahan dosh ki prapti hoti hai. atev anadi maya ke sambandh se jivoan ka kamasukh adi se sambandh hota rahata hai. aisa hone par bhi jiv ki mahatta nashh‍t nahian hoti; kyoanki maya ke sambandh se jiv ke dehadi pun: utpann hote rahate haian. (20)
  • jo nityasvaroop bhagavan haian, ve hi parabrahm maya ke sahayog se is vishh‍v brahmanh‍d ki srishti karate haian. vah maya unhian parabrahm ki shakti hai. mahatma purush ise manate haian. is prakar ke arth ke pratipadan mean ved bhi praman haian. (21)
