jaise chandrama ki kala pratidin badhati hai, usi prakar dan ki huee prithvi mean jitani bar fasal paida hoti hai, utana hi usake prithvi-dan ka phal badhata jata hai. prachin batoan ko janane vale log bhoomi ki gayi huee gathaoan ka varnan kiya karate haian, jinhean sunakar jamadagninandan parashuram ne kashh‍yap ji ko sari prithvi dan kar di thi. vah gatha is prakar hai- prithvi kahati hai- 'mujhe hi dan mean do, mujhe hi grahan karo. mujhe dekar hi mujhe paoge; kyoanki manushy is lok mean jo kuchh dan karata hai, vahi use ihalok aur paralok mean bhi prapt hota hai. jo brahman shraddh kal mean prithvi ki gayi huee vedasammat is gatha ka path karata hai, vah brahmabhav ko prapt hota hai. atyant prabal kritya (maran shakti) ke prayog se jo bhay prapt hota hai, usako shaant karane ka sabase mahan sadhan prithvi ka dan hi hai. bhoomidanaroop prayashchit karake manushy apane age-pichhe ki das pidhiyoan ko pavitr kar deta hai.

jo vedavaniroop is bhoomigatha ko janata hai, vah bhi apani das pidhiyoan ko pavitr kar deta hai. yah prithvi sampoorn praniyoan ki utpatti ka sthan hai aur agni isaka adhishthata devata hai. raja ko rajasianhasan par abhishikt karane ke bad use tatkal hi prithvi ki gayi huee gatha suna deni chahiye; jisase vah bhoomi ka dan kare aur satpurushoan ke hath se unhean di huee bhoomi chhin n le. yah sari katha brahman aur kshatriy ke liye hai. is vishay mean koee sandeh nahian hai; kyoanki raja dharm mean kushal ho, yah praja ke eshh‍vary (vaibhav) ko soochit karane vala pratham lakshan hai. jinaka raja dharm ko n janane vala aur nastik hota hai, ve log n to sukh se sote haian aur n sukh se jagate hi haian; apitu us raja ke durachar se sadaiv udvign rahate haian. aise raja ke raj mean bahuda yogakshem nahian prapt hote. kiantu jinaka raja buddhiman aur dharmik hota hai, ve sukh se sote aur sukh se jagate haian. us raja ke shubh rajy aur shubh karmoan se prajavarg ke log santusht rahate haian. us rajy mean sabake yogakshem ka nirvah hota hai, samay par varsha hoti hai aur praja apane shubh karmoan se samriddhishalini hoti hai.

jo prithvi ka dan karata hai, vahi kulin, vahi purush, vahi bandhu, vahi punyatma, vahi data aur vahi parakrami hai. jo vedavetta brahman ko dhan-dhany se sampann bhoomidan karate haian, ve manushy is prithvi par apane tej se soory ke saman prakashit hote haian. jaise bhoomi mean boye hue bij kheti ke roop mean aankurit hote aur adhik ann paida karate haian, usi prakar bhoomidan karane se sampoorn kamanaaian saphal hoti haian. soory, varun, vishnu, brahma, chandrama, agni aur bhagavan shankar- ye sabhi bhoomidan karane vale purush ka abhinandan karate haian. sab log prithvi par hi janm lete haian aur prithvi mean hi lin ho jate haian. andaj, jarayuj, svedaj aur udbhijj- in charoan prakar ke praniyoan ka sharir prithvi ka hi kary hai.

prithvinath! nareshh‍var! yah prithvi hi jagat ki mata aur pita hai. isake saman doosara koee bhoot nahian hai. yudhishthir! is vishay mean vijn purush indr aur brihaspati ke sanvad roop is prachin itihas ka udaharan diya karate haian.
