brahman se shoodra ke garbh se jo putr uth‍panh‍n hota hai, use brahman nahian manate haian, kh‍yoanki usamean brahmanochitt nipunata nahian payi jati. shesh tin varn ki striyoan se brahman dvara jo putr uth‍panh‍n hota hai, vah brahman hota hai. char hi varn bataye haian, paanchavaan varn nahian milata. shoodra ka putr brahman pita ke dhan se usaka dasavaan bhag le sakata hai. vah bhi pita ke dene par hi use lena chahiye, bina diye use lene ka koee adhikar nahian hai. bharatananh‍dan! kiantu shoodra ke putr ko bhi dhan ka bhag avashh‍y de dena chahiye. daya sabase b da dharm hai. yah samajhakar use dhan ka bhag diya jata hai. daya jahaan bhi uth‍panh‍n ho, vah gunakarak hi hoti hai.

bharat! brahman ke anh‍y varn ki striyoan se putr ho ya n ho, vah shoodra ke putr ko dasavean bhag se adhik dhan n de. jab brahman ke pas tin varsh tak nirvah hone se adhik dhan ekatr ho jaye, tab vah dhan se yajn kare. dhan ka vh‍yarth sangrah n kare. sh‍tri ko pati ke dhan se jo hish‍sa milata hai, usaka upabhog hi (usake liye) phal mana gaya hai. pati ke dvara diye hue sh‍tridhan se putr adi ko kuchh nahian lena chahiye. yudhishthir! brahmani ko pita ki or se jo dhan mila ho, us dhan ko usaki putri le sakati hai; kh‍yoanki jaisa putr hai, vaisi hi putri bhi hai. kurunanh‍dan! bharatakulabhooshan naresh! putri putr ke saman hi hai- aisa shash‍tr ka vidhan hai. is prakar vahi dhan ke vibhajan ki dharmayukh‍t pranali batayi gayi hai. is tarah dharm ka chinh‍tan evan anush‍maran karate hue hi dhan ka uparjan evan sangrah karean. parantu use vh‍yarth n hone de- yajn-yagadi ke dvara saphal kar le.

yudhishthir ne poochha- dada ji! yadi brahman se shoodra mean uth‍panh‍n hue putr ko dhan n dene yogh‍y bataya gaya hai to kis visheshata ke karan usako paitrik dhan ka dasavaan bhag bhi diya jata hai? brahman se brahmani mean uth‍panh‍n hua putr brahman ho- isamean koee sanshay hi nahian, vaise hi kshatriya aur vaishh‍ya ke garbh se uth‍panh‍n hue putr bhi brahman hi hote haian. nripashreshh‍th! jab apane brahman adi tinoan varnoan vali striyoan se uth‍panh‍n hue putroan ko brahman hi bataya hai, tab ve paitrik dhan ka saman bhag kh‍yoan nahi pate haian? kh‍yoan ve visham bhag grahan karean?

bhishh‍m ji ne kaha- shatruoan ko santap dene vale naresh! lok mean sab striyoan ka ‘dara’ is ek nam se hi parichay diya jata hai. is tathakathit nam se hi charoan varnoan ki striyoan se uth‍panh‍n hue putroan mean mahan anh‍tar ho jata hai[1] brahman pahale anh‍y tinoan varnoan ki striyoan ko bh‍yah lane ke pashh‍chat bhi yadi brahmanakanh‍ya se vivah kare to vahi anh‍y striyoan ki apeksha jh‍yeshh‍th, adhik adar-sath‍kar ke yogh‍y tatha vishesh gaurav ki adhikarini hogi.

  1. ’dar’ shabh‍d ki vh‍yuth‍patti is prakar hai- ‘adriyanh‍te trivargarthibhi: iti dara’. dharm, arth aur kam ki ichh‍chha rakhane vale purushoan dvara jinaka ad‍r kiya jata hai, ve dara haian. jahaan tak bhog vishayak adar hai, vah to sabhi striyoan ke sath saman hai, parantu vh‍yavaharik jagat mean jo pati ke dvara adar praph‍t hota hai, vah varnakram se yathayogh‍y nh‍yoonadhik matra mean hi upalabh‍dh hota hai. yahi bat unake putroan ke samh‍banh‍dh mean bhi lagoo hoti hai. isiliye unake putroan ko paitrik dhan ke vishay mean kam aur adhik bhag grahan karane ka adhikar hai.
