shrimaheshvar ne kaha- devata aur atithiyoan ki seva, gurujanoan tatha vriddh purushoan ka abhivadan, kisi bhi prani ki hiansa n karana, lobh ko tyag dena, satyapratijn hona, brahmachary, sharanagatavatsalata, shauchachar, pahale batachit karana, upakari ke prati kritajn hona, kisi ki chugali n khana, sada dharmashil rahana, din mean do bar snan karana, devata aur pitaroan ka poojan karana, gauoan ko pratidin ann ka gras aur ghas dena, atithiyoan ko vibhagapoorvak bhojan dena, dip, thaharane ke liye sthan tatha pady aur asan dena, panchami, shashthi, dvadashi, ashtami, chaturdashi evan poornima ko sada brahmachary ka palan karana, in tithiyoan par mooanchh mu dane, sir mean tel lagane, aankh mean aanjan karane tatha daantun karane evan daant dhone adi ka kary n kare. jo in vidhi-nishedhoan ka palan karate haian, unake yahaan lakshmi pratishthit hoti hai.

vrat aur upavas ka niyam palana, tapasya karana, yathashakti dan dena, poshyavarg ka poshan karana, dinoan par kripa rakhana, parayi stri se door rahana tatha sada hi apani stri se prem rakhana grihasth ka dharm hai. vidhata ne poorvakal mean pati-patni ka ek hi sharir banaya tha, atah apani hi stri mean anurakt rahane vala purush brahmachari mana jata hai. jo shil aur sadachar se vinit hai, jisane apani indriyoan ko kaboo mean rakha hai, jo saralatapoorvak bartav karata hai aur samast praniyoan ka hitaishi hai, jisako atithi priy hai, jo kshamashil hai, jisane dharmapoorvak dhan ka uparjan kiya hai- aise grihasth ke liye any ashramoan ki kya avashyakata hai? jaise sabhi jiv mata ka sahara lekar jivan dharan karate haian, usi prakar sabhi ashram grihasth-ashram ka ashray lekar hi jivan-yapan karate haian.

raja, pakhandi, nat, sapera, dambh, chor, rajapurush, vidvan, sampoorn shiloan ke janakar, sabhi sanshayalu tatha door ke raste par aye hue patheyarahit rahi- ye tatha aur bhi bahut-se manushy grihasth-ashram par hi tak lagaye rahate haian.

devi! choohe, billi, kutte, sooar, tote, kabootar, karkatak (kak adi), sarisripasevi- ye tatha aur bhi bahut-se mrig-pakshiyoan ke vanavasi samuday haian tatha isi tarah is jagat mean jo nana prakar ke saik doan aur hazaroan charachar prani ghar, kshetr aur bil mean nivas karate haian, ve sab-ke-sab yahaan grihasth ke kiye hue karm ko hi bhogate haian. jo vastu unake upayeag mean a gayi, usake liye jo buddhimanh purush kabhi shok nahian karata, in sabaka palan karana dharm hi hai, aisa samajhakar santusht rahata hai, use milane vale phal ka varnan suno. devi! jo sampoorn yajnoan ka sampadan kar chuka hai, use ashvamedh yajn se jo phal milata hai, vahi phal is grihasth ko barah varshoan tak poorvokt niyamoan ka palan karane se prapt ho jata hai.

uma ne kaha- bhagavan! apane charoan varnoan ke liye hitakari evan shubh dharm ka prithak-prithak varnan kiya hai. ab mujhe vah dharm batalaiye, jo sab varnoan ke liye saman roop se upayogi ho.
