kashyap ne kaha- is prithvi par jitane dhan, jau, suvarn, pashu aur striyaan haian, ve sab kisi ek purush ko mil jayean to bhi use santosh n hoga; yah sochakar vidvan purush apane man ki trishna ko shaant kare.

bharadvaj bole- jaise utpann hue mrig ka siang usake badhane ke sath-sath badhata rahata hai, usi prakar manushy ki trishna sada badhati hi rahati hai, usaki koee sima nahian hai.

gautam ne kaha- sansar mean aisa koee dravy nahian hai, jo manushy ki asha ka pet bhar sake. purush ki asha samudr ke saman hai, vah kabhi bharati hi nahian.

vishvamitr bole- kisi vastu ki kamana karane vale manushy ki ek ichchha jab poori hoti hai, tab doosari nayi utpann ho jati hai. is prakar trishna tir ki tarah man par chot karati hi rahati hai.

atri bole- bhogoan ki kamana unake upabhog se kabhi nahian shaant hoti hai. apitu ghi ki ahuti p dane par prajvalit hone vali ag ki bhaanti vah aur bhi badhati hi jati hai.

jamadagni ne kaha- pratigrah n lene se hi brahman apani tapasya ko surakshit rakh sakata hai. tapasya hi brahman ka dhan hai. jo laukik dhan ke liye lobh karata hai, usaka taparoopi dhan nasht ho jata hai.

arundhati boli- sansar mean ek paksh ke logoan ki ray hai ki dharm ke liye dhan ka sangrah karana chahiye; kiantu meri ray mean dhan-sangrah ki apeksha tapasya ka sanchay hi shreshth hai.

ganda ne kaha- mere ye malik log atyant shaktishali hote hue bhi jab is bhayankar pratigrah ke bhay se itana darate haian, tab meri kya samarthy hai? mujhe to durbal praniyoan ki bhaanti isase bahut b da bhay lag raha hai.

pashusakh ne kaha- dharm ka palan karane par jis dhan ki prapti hoti hai, usase badhakar koee dhan nahian hai. us dhan ko brahman hi janate haian; atah maian bhi usi dharmamay dhan ki prapti ka upay sikhane ke liye vidvan brahmanoan ki seva mean laga hooan.
